Working on some random stuff.
 
New environment concept. A sort of barren, mountainous wasteland on the side of a large demonic rock. That giant head is AI-generated and then pixelated; I think it still needs some polishing.

 
Does anyone remember the arcade game Arm Champs II? Anyway, a while back I ripped the background sprites, which have a CAPCOM-ish vibe. So I'm trying to turn it into a MUGEN/IKEMEN stage.

Recently a guy contacted me to commission two new MUGEN stages. After seeing my latest release, "Hoopster Court", this person wanted to have something similar but with one of the fiercest rivalries in the NBA: Celtics–Lakers.

Basketball showdown in a stadium built with sprites ripped from Konami's game "Run And Gun". I chose Chicago over other cities and NBA franchises just because it shares the same colors with my favorite Argentine soccer team. 😉

The 1920x960 "MUGEN_stage_Yata_MCZ_with_fightstations.bmp" has fightstations (can use Fighter Factory to change it in the SFF).
The 1920x960 "MUGEN_stage_Yata_MCZ_without_fightstations.bmp" has no fightstations.
The 196x147 "MUGEN_stage_Yata_MCZ_with_fightstations_ss09a.bmp" is the TV static texture, the other "MUGEN_stage_Yata_MCZ_with_fightstations_ss##.bmp" are the TV screenshots.

My first MUGEN character done mainly from scratch (with some help, read the credits). All of his specials are done and he only needs one hyper left (3 out of 4). This is pretty much a love letter to the franchise, as well as a few elements being tributes of sorts to why I became invested in this engine in the first place.

Interesting stuff, I hope to see more variety though... like night stages, stages underground, stages in the wilderness, etc.
