This is from the SnK wiki, it's self. I think they also explained it in the game, and very, very little in KoF XIII, though I think it was just a cameo appearance. "Shion (紫苑, Shion) is a character from The King of Fighters series. He makes his first appearance in The King of Fighters XI as a sub-boss. He was conceptually designed to be one of Ron's daughters though developers decided to change his gender to startle and appeal to fans with his androgynous appearance. His gender was revealed to fans in his official back story, which states (and corrects itself) on his masculinity. He is voiced by Tokiyo Ogawa."

Hello again, I figured I might as well deepen my understanding of coding, making a character, etc. by making a more simple character, but in my own way. I know Shion had a more complex style, while SNK keeps their gameplay kinda stiff, but I want him/her to have a more quick and combo diverse game mechanic. I've gotten a lot done so I think a video would suffice more than in-game screenshots, so, I shall begin recording some in-game play when it's ready to do so, as of now, I have some more to do with the coding to make it more appealing. No need to worry about hands, the sprite looks pretty damn good! No problems I can pin-point at the moment, the sprite itself looks really clean.

As the topic says, what person in a game or anime surprised you when you learned their real gender? For me, the most shocking would be Shion from KoFXI or Bridget from Guilty Gear (though I had my suspicions). I still want to believe that Shion is a female! Look at him(her)! He's(She's) too adorable to be a male! SNK does it again.

Agreed, there's really no reason to go anywhere is in PC (for now, I think).

It's a safe bet to say it's a boy. But, the character has a remarkable resemblance to that of the fairy like character in Crystal Shards on the 64. Normally, I'd just let the physical appearance be the judge when determining gender, but that quickly proved useless when I learned that Shion from KoFXI was a male.

How adorable! The character is so young, I'm sure Lab 8 will be skeptical of the mutual relationship.

Sure thing, CvS has massively less frames per animation than that of Skullgirls, so it'll be easier to produce.

I can take a crack at It. I'll hunt for some in-game shots in a bit, I have some business with Shion to take care of first.

In terms of Peacock's sprites, I think waiting for the PC port to launch would be a safe bet, due to the easy sprite rips that can be achieved without losing quality. I think Peacock could fit the CVS play mechanics pretty well, due to her ranged attacks, supers, etc.

A Peacock for Mugen? I'd jump on board in an instant! But, I still have some things to learn with coding. I think I'm pretty good with palettes, and aligning the sprites with VirtuallTek Fighter Factory (FF3) If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been spriting? You do a fantastic job!

I have to admit it, I absolutely love this stage and the BGM you chose. It fits very well, and it could deepen a story line someone makes from Mugen, such as a rival battle before a boss battle, or the boss battle. Strider Hien vs. Strider Hiryu, only one can live! For sure, I'll be using this stage just for them. If I could give more than just 1 +1, I would happily do so! Fantastic work here, bro!

Holy crap, how could I have forgotten about the master piece that is Streets of Rage!

Probably the best City fighting music in my opinion.

How about the Daily Lives of High School Boys? Or Nichijou? Maybe Azumanga Daioh? How about Persona 4 the Animation? Maybe you'll like Darker than Black?
