How to give a specific palette a seperate character name?

Hi im making a winmugen project and I was wondering if there was an easy way of making a palette display a different character name in game? so for example if it was iron man and I wanted a 2nd palette to call him warmachine in game? I don't want it to be a separate character or have a separate moveset. Would the easiest way to do this to create a second def file for the character? if so how do I link this second def to selecting the characters second palette? Any help on this would be amazing....

If this was an enclosed full game and you were coding the lifebars into the characters themselves, then this would be easily accomplished, but let's assume you're not.

Simplest way is as you said, to create a separate .def file with that other name, but that would still fundamentally be the same as having a separate character. You can't have it so when you select a particular palette, the character's name changes or a different .def is loaded.
