CycloneJoker Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Sometimes, when something like a movie or a videogame comes from another country, it gets a real stupid title translation on our country, post here some of them! I'll start: Here in Brazil, when the movie Taxi Driver came out, it has the title of Taxi Driver: Motorista de Táxi, which literally translates to Taxi Driver: Taxi Driver. Totally stupid. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY CHRISTMAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!
Kazagami Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I remember a dubbed version of Spongebob in my native language where they mistranslated Mermaidman and Barnacleboy to "Mermaid Prince & Shellfish Kid" CycloneJoker 1 WaifuLaifu Discord Server / Twitter / MUGEN releases

CycloneJoker Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Here in Brazil, Dooku from Star Wars had his name changed to Dookan, because Dooku sounds like "dou o cú", which in english means... well, translate it on Google Translate and you will see. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY CHRISTMAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!
GohanSSM2 Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Lol, check for "dookie" in english. Like used in this sentence, "If you don't work, you don't get dookie." lol
Mister Fael Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 the Brazillian dub of Aqua Teen has more vulgar language than the original. Example, the "I'm not finished" line was changed to CycloneJoker 1
CycloneJoker Posted October 21, 2015 Author Posted October 21, 2015 the Brazillian dub of Aqua Teen has more vulgar language than the original. Example, the "I'm not finished" line was changed to LMFAO! I can't believe this! In Italy, the title of the movie "The Producers" was "Per Favore, Non Toccate le Vecchiette!" which translates to, believe it or not, "Please, Don't Touch the Old Ladies" MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY CHRISTMAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!
