Once they arrived, everyone saw the big line of people waiting for enter. While Anwalt just checked around, Lucent was already against the Bottom in general.
Anwalt: I guess most of the people are waiting for the dance club.
Lucent: Ergh... this place stinks of alcohol so bad... it makes me wanna vomit...
Anwalt: It's a club, what did you expect?
Lucent: Isn't there an alternative entrance to this arena or whatnot? I don't want to go through such... repulsive ambience.
Anwalt: You're complaining a bit too much. We'll just pass by it, so don't go getting all frantic.
Lucent: I'm not frantic. I'm just... urk... I seriously don't want to go in. The people all get too close to each other, the lights are too blinding and the music is deafening, if not just horrible.
Anwalt: ... Are you truly 17 years old?
Lucent: Shut up. Anyway, let's wait for Lilith.

Anwalt: The name's Anwalt and this guy who just talked to you is my brother Lucent. The maid is called Lilith, this small one here is Penelope and the guy right there is called Hyde.
Once Anwalt introduced them, Lucent, still floating, took the map from Anwalt's hand.
Anwalt: H-Hey!
Lucent: Introductions done, right? The Bottom's not that far, so let's just go.
Anwalt: Alright. Lead the way then.
Lucent nodded and began to walk forward, with Anwalt following him.

Anwalt: I see... it's kinda weird since you all are here for many different reasons, though all serious.
Anwalt: Mine and Lucent's aren't that much actually. It's more like a family trip but I'm using this to actually make up for all the time we were distant from each other.
Soon, Lucent descended alongside the shrine maiden.
Anwalt: And yet another newcomer arrives.
Lucent: Seems like she'll be coming with us to the Bottom. Like most of you, she's also here to investigate.
Anwalt: Wait, how did you know that they were-
Lucent: It was a hunch. Judging by your reaction, I'm actually right. Anyway, let's keep going.
Anwalt: Good. And her name is...?
Lucent: I didn't had the time to ask.
Anwalt: Well, miss flying shrine maiden, what's your name?

Lucent: The white-haired one is my brother. We actually just happened to meet the other three in the way.
Lucent: Unfortunately, none of us are actually from here. We do have a map though, and a set destination to begin with. If you wish to accompany us to this place we're going, maybe you can get some information.
As Lucent kept discussing with the shrine maiden (@Dumanios), Anwalt raised a question.
Anwalt: By the way, how did you guys end up here? Are you in a trip or something like that? (@A person, @Darkflare, @Sinjik)

Lilith's commentary was sort of true. Anwalt did enjoy fighting, but the word "blood knight" wasn't something particulary close.
Anwalt: Well, while I enjoy fighting, I don't do anything to be deadly. Though I admit, I can be reckless if I want.
After some talk, Penelope pointed out there was a person flying in the sky. Lucent and Anwalt looked towards the direction she pointed out.
Lucent: Hmm? A person? It seems like it's a girl...
Anwalt: Oh yeah, it is. Not like we haven't seen something like it before. Flying isn't something uncommon, right?
Lucent: I'll go check it out if she wants something with us. If you guys wish to continue, I'll follow you through the air.
Anwalt: Eh, I think we can wait a little longer. I don't think you three are in a hurry, right?
Lucent began to float and went upwards to talk with the girl at the sky. When he got there, he saw it was a shrine maiden. It wasn't the first time he saw a flying shrine maiden.
Lucent: Excuse me, but I noticed that you were looking at us for a moment. Do you need something with us or... are you perhaps searching for something? (@Dumanios)

Anwalt went towards them to see what happened. The first thing he noticed, however, was how they somewhat stood out in the middle of the crowd.
Anwalt: Hmm? What a weird conglomeration of people here.
Lucent: Now that you mentioned, we're standing at a strange point in the middle of the streets and we definitely stand out a lot.

Lucent: Before we can continue, we should introduce ourselves. My name is Lucent Vermillion and this is my older brother, Anwalt Vermillion.
Anwalt: Yo! I can see you guys are definitely strong. I'm gonna have some fun fighting you.
Lucent: We're actually not that distant from the Bottom, so shall we get going?

Lucent and Anwalt kept walking while following the directions that were leading to the Bottom, where the underground arena was supposedly placed.
Anwalt: Well, according to what I saw in this map, this "Bottom" place is supposedly a dance club. The arena is somewhat inside it.
Lucent: Nice, the last place I'd ever put my feet on is the first place we're heading to. Yay...
Anwalt: ...
Lucent: Don't give me the stare. You know I despise those sorts of places.
Anwalt: In any case, we're actually not that far to it. Maybe we could also stop there to eat and-
Lucent: ... I already agreed to go into this arena, I'm not staying into a dance club. If you do that, I'll let you 4 months without eating one single dream. Am I clear?
Anwalt: What?! But then I'll die from starvation!
Lucent: See. If. I. Care. Oh, the same punishment will be applied if you put my name on the fighter list, if it has one.
Anwalt: ... Sometimes, you're really evil.
Lucent: It's the only way I found for making you understand some points about me.
Anwalt: Fine, fine, I won't put your name and we're leaving the place once I fought.
Lucent: Good to know. Now let's keep going.
As they kept walking, the flux of people grew a little and they had to do some manuevers to avoid hitting on them. Lucent's bag, however, ended hitting a pink-haired girl a little close to him.
Lucent: Oh, pardon me. I didn't mean to hit you, miss.

After picking their bags, both left from the airport. They looked at the rest of the city.
???: This is very different from our home...
???: Well, we're in another world. Of course it'd be different.
???: Can you please let me be mesmerized with the scenery without breaking it up?
???: Oh. Sorry, I didn't mean to...
???: Honestly, you're so realistic sometimes that it kills the fun. Know how to enjoy the moment without being so stern, Lucent.

Lucent Vermillion
The younger child of the Vermillion family and a halfling who has demon blood running through his veins. Though he's a child of dream-eating demons, Lucent is the Vestal of Dreams, an otherwordly being with the mission of guiding and protecting dreams. With the balance of both powers, he's able to live without needing to eat dreams anymore and swore to protect what was once his food. He left his home for a trip with his older brother, planning to enjoy it while remembering that his responsibilities as the Vestal of Dreams remain the same, no matter the world he is.

Race: Half-human half-demon
Personality: While not being anti-social, Lucent is very stern and reserved, not indulging too much onto unnecessary banters. He's very intelligent, yet doesn't share much of what he knows to others. He also tends to be really blunt, talking what he feels and thinks without thinking on the consequences. Sometimes, he tends to speak in a sarcastic tone, while not meaning to actually offend someone. He loves reading books, especially if they include strategy or something of the sort. Lucent is really kind and has a big sense of responsibility, being sometimes very rigid when others fail their tasks, even though menial. He tends to be forceful sometimes, as he comes around to intimidate people to drown them in nightmares and traumas if they do something that includes him and it's against his will or has been denied by him.

Anwalt Vermillion
The eldest child of the Vermillion family and a halfling who has demon blood running through his veins. Known as the Tyrant of the Nightmare World, Anwalt was heavily trained to be evil and a massive devourer of dreams. However, he ignored that part of the training, since he wanted to reconcile with the brother he couldn't protect when he was younger. He swore to aid Lucent at his task, even though he knews that he can't ignore the hunger and needs to eat dreams to survive. To strengthen the new bond he formed with his younger brother, he took them to a trip.
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Race: Half-human half-demon
Personality: Brash and spontaneous, Anwalt has always been the most friendly out of the two. Like Lucent, he's very blunt, though he sounds less condescending. He treats everyone equally at the same level of respect unless someone shows him they don't deserve it. He prefers a good fighting, though he has little knowledge of control. Whenever pushed to his limits, he becomes a beast in battle. Anwalt tends to tease a lot of people, most of the times to motivate them or to cheer them up. Unlike most older brothers, he knows that Lucent's not a kid anymore and doesn't tend to be overprotective. Even so, he'll stand by his brother side.

Upon Lucent's complaint, Anwalt put him back on the ground.
Lucent: There are other ways for you to be fine without pampering me and treat me like a kid.
Anwalt: Well, you're a kid just for me.
Lucent: ... I'm going to ignore what you just said and go pick a map.
Anwalt: Hahahaha!
Lucent: *sigh* Which of us is the actual kid here, I wonder...
He picked a free map of the town that was availble in a stand close to them. As he opened, both started looking for interesting places in town.
Lucent: Let's see... where are the hotels here...
Anwalt; Oh, look! There's an underground arena! And they're holding exhibition matches with prizes!
Lucent: We can go there later. We need to find a place to rest first and also a money exchanger.
Anwalt: Hell no. We're going there and have fun with the fights. *takes map and pulls Lucent with him*
Lucent: W-Wait, I never said I wanted to fight! Anwalt, are you listening to me?!

Location: Skies of Kalos City
BGM: The Skycity of Bhujerba (Final Fantasy XII)
The airship arrived at the station, bringing tourists from other worlds. Soon, a message played out to all who were on board.
"Destination arrived: Kalos City. Please, leave the perimeters of the skyship. It will go out of function for now as we prepare for the next trip. Enjoy your stay at Kalos City and please come again."
Alongside a lot of passengers, they disembarked from the ship and looked around at the station. Many people came and went from all directions. it seems it was a busy season for receiving tourists.
???: So, here we are. Excited yet?
???: Now that I think about it, yes. This is a Link World as I read on books.
???: Yep. Welcome to Kalos, where we'll enjoy our family trip!
???: Kalos City is actually one of the most visited cities when it comes to Link Worlds. According to the statistics, this city is the 6th most visited of all towns. Not the highest, but almost reaching the top 5.
???: You really did a research of this, didn't you?
???: Of course. Oh, but I wasn't able to download a map at our terminals yet. We might be able to get one here, though.
???: First of all, let's enjoy the view. No need to be such a stickler to details when we're here to relax.
???: Sorry, but I don't enjoy getting lost in a world that I already don't know. If you're not taking the cautions, big brother, than I am.
???: Oh, for the sake of...! C'mere!
The older brother grabbed his younger brother and carried him in one of the arms, at a sitting position.
???: W-What are you doing?! Put me down, I'm not a kid!
???: You're still my kid brother and your excessive worriness will ruin the trip. Now just stay still at my arm and let's go.
???: Ugh... what a way to start things...
Without a map, they followed the rest of the passengers to do the check-in and to begin their trip at Kalos City.

Arena Trial 001
BGM: Imperial Code II (BlazBlue Chronophantasma)
Rokurou: He got the maid!
Agni: Yes! All we have to do now is-
It was too soon for commemoration. Two black flashes went towards the advancing Lightflare.
5T: Where do you think you're going?
13P: We're not letting you get away.
The speed of the androids were more than enough to reach his advance. Without a sound, the Pod shot the Gravity field, pulling Lightflare backwards. 5T did a quick turn while 13P went another way. WIth that, 5T did a quick sommersault over Light, getting the maid in the process.
5T: See you around. Have a nice day.
As 5T landed and dashed back to the flank with the maid, 13P did a quick turn towards the way he went, having the container at his sight. He rushed once again towards the object.
13P: Fly, you cubed piece of trash!
He punched the container with a strength that it went towards the wall Light was close to. He didn't wait for long and ran after 5T in order to protect him.
Rokurou: Goddamnit, those two...!!
Agni: They're not running away for long. Razor Wind!
Upon using another spell, 3 wind discs appeared and were shot directly at the androids.
5T: Huh?!
13P: Shit...!!
13P quickly grabbed the maid from 5T's arms and threw her towards the roof. They grazed the discs, almost getting hit by two of them.
13P: That was close...
5T: Don't rest yet, here they come!
Agni and Rokurou charged towards the androids. 5T opened fire with the Pod but Agni learned how to use the Shadow Veil and generated a barrier upon himself once again, jumping in front of Rokurou to defend him.
13P: Tch, that barrier again!
Agni: Rokurou, now!
Rokurou: Heh, finally I can fight to my content!!
Using the barrier as a step, Rokurou leaped towards them and was ready to slash 5T. 13P got in front of him and defended one of his slashes. They began clashing their weapons as Agni went directly to 5T.
5T: *unsheates sword* You may have surprised me with this book of yours, but I'm defeating you.
Agni: Less words, more actions!
Agni went with a kick in the gut, but 5T defended it with his blade. He tried to slash Agni, but the angel managed to evade it. Soon, they remembered about something and looked up. The Mech-Hisui was falling towards 5T.
Agni: Ghastly Sprinkler!
5T: What?! Whoa!
A pillar of purple water rose under 5T. He evaded it before getting caught, but that wasn't the reason Agni used it. It was to create a safety "platform" for the maid to fall without being hurt.
Agni: Whew, that was a close one...
5T: You know you could've won if you just let her fall, right?
Agni: I don't resort to cheap tactics and I don't sacrifice people for victory, especially innocents. I'll take this win with her alive, fair and square.
5T: This part of being "fair and square" ended a long time ago with Mr. Warp right there. Preach all you want, you're going to be defeated in the way you want to!
Agni: Then don't blame me if I end up beating you on your own tactical game!
System Information
SpoilerAgni's Battle Properties (Type B)
As a grimoire user, Agni retains the usage of the Paradigms from his gunner type. However, his way of fighting becomes different. While he loses a little of attack speed, he gains larger projectiles and is able to effectively hit larger and more consistent areas of effect with his magic. His spells are divided into 3 levels, with them being availble with a specific action. Every time he uses a move once, a dark crystal is generated. Once he gains at least 5 crystals, he'll be able to activate another tier and gains usage of stronger spells.
Tier 1 Spells
- Black Blaze: Agni shoots a dark fireball at the enemy. Can shoot 8 fireballs in succession.
- Ghastly Sprinkle: Agni raises a small dark water pillar under an enemy's current position. Deals no damage, but launches enemy upwards.
- Razor Wind: Agni shoots 3 homing wind discs at an enemy. If more enemies are in the area, the discs will change directions to the closest enemy to them.
- Dark Plasma: Agni shoots a single dark thunder laser at an enemy. If charged, the laser penetrates defenses.
- Stalagmite Fall: Agni calls a stalagmite that falls on a single enemy.
- Shadow Veil: Agni generates a dark barrier around self or to one ally.
- Chaos Code: once 5 crystals are generated, Agni unlocks the second spell tier.
- Nature's Judgement: Agni attacks with all spells in succession. Only usable if Agni has 5 crystals.
Tier 2 Spells
- Hellfire Wolf: Agni shoots a dark fire wolf-shaped projectile at the enemy. Can shoot 4 wolves in succession.
- Flood Shark: Agni raises a small dark water shark-shaped figure under an enemy's current position. Launches enemies upwards.
- Tornado Raven: Agni shoots 6 homing wind raven-shaped projectiles at an enemy. If more enemies are in the area, the ravens will change directions to the closest enemy to each of them.
- Lightning Lion: Agni shoots a single dark lion-shaped projectile at enemies. If charged, the lion penetrates defenses.
- Quake Gorilla: Agni calls a gorilla-shaped figure that falls on a designed area. Generates a small quake once it lands.
- Dark Embrace: Agni generates a dark barrier around an area close to self.
- Nemesis Code: once 5 crystals are generated, Agni unlocks the third spell tier.
- Carnage Unleashed: various beasts begin to attack a determined area. A little far from it, Agni summons a dark dragon that charges his breath. Once it ends charging, it shoots a giant dark orb that explodes once it enters in contact with the area of effect. Reverts him back to Tier 1.
Tier 3 Spells
- Satan's Prominence: Agni shoots a dark fire dragon at the enemy. Can shoot another dragon in succession. Once it reaches the enemy, it'll hit the ground, creating a powerful explosion.
- Leviathan's Deluge: Agni raises a dark water dragon under an enemy's current position. Launches enemies upwards. Once reaching a certain height, the dragon will fall and create a large tidal wave towards a direction.
- Mammon's Wild Tornado: Agni shoots a homing wind dragon at an enemy. The dragon will rise in a circle, generating a tornado that slashes and raises the enemy. If more enemies are in the area, they will be pulled towards the tornado.
- Beelzebub's Tempest: Agni shoots a dark thunder dragon at an enemy. It penetrates defenses and if charged, a thunderstorm will fall on the area around the enemy hit..
- Belphegor's Rockfall: Agni calls an earth that falls on an enemy's position. Once it hits the ground, an earthquake will happen, damaging all enemies in the area.
- Asmodeus' Desperation: Agni generates a dark dragon that creates a larger barrier around himself and allies.
- Lucifer's Expiration: Agni calls upon a powerful demon and summons a giant meteor storm. Only usable if Agni has used all other moves. Reverts him back to Tier 1.

Arena Trial 001
His plan began to work as he wanted. Though risky and deserving of Darkflare's complaints, the missiles gave the others a chance to invade the flank. Agni took cover and reloaded his bullets, while also thinking about two important things.
Agni: (... Risky, but the plan worked. We're managing to advance. If we keep this rhythm...)
As he kept engineering his next move, the sudden attack from behind surprised the androids.
13P: What in the hell?! How did he-
5T: (So you can truly warp, huh...)
13P: Dammit, we're losing control of the situation! I'm going after this beam bastard!
5T: Wait... there's something else we can do.
5T pointed out to the pillars that held the watchtower. Without a single noise to avoid drawing his attention, he and 13P ordered the Pods to destroy them with lasers. It was a successful hit and the structure began to crumble apart.
Rokurou: Agni, get out of there!
Agni: (Crap, this thing is falling apart...! I have to get out and shoot- wait, where's my gun?!)
Agni: (An upgrade?! C'mon, guys, now's not a good time...!!)
It was too late. The watchtower fell and Agni was supposed to go down with it. There were no signs he jumped.
13P: Alright, one's out. Now, let's take care of-
5T's Pod: Alert: living creature detected inside of debris.
5T: Inside the debris?! Then, that means-
BGM: Rushing Heart (Under Night IN-BIRTH)
As some of the debris fell, he was revealed. Holding a grimoire and protected by a dark barrier, he was hiding his face, expecting to be dead. When he opened them...
Agni: Wait... I survived?!
Rokurou: That's not expected.
Agni: A grimoire? Where did this...?
13P: Pod!!
13P's Pod opened his hatch and began shooting at Agni. He evaded the first shots with a quick hop but soon began to run away. He had no time to hide nor to defend himself, since he had no idea how he conjured the barrier from earlier. He opened the book and began to read it.
Agni: Better to stop thinking and make use of it! Let's see... Dark Plasma!
Agni shot a small laser towards the Pod, hitting it and decomissioning it.
13P: What?!
Rokurou: Nice!
5T: (This guy... what even is he?)
Agni: That's one less problem. Now I just need to understand how to use this... but right now, I need to help the others.
Agni ran forward towards the area between the flank's two entrances to execute an idea. Meanwhile, 5T turned to Hinamori.
5T: Hinamori, can you find Kirimuri? We need to catch him before dealing with the rest.
13P: Don't be stupid! We need to-
5T: Don't get desperate. That's what they want. Someone else will go after Light. We need to focus on the snake first.

Arena Trial 001
Soon, both Pods gave them warnings about the movements from the other team.
Pods: Alert: targets entering in area. Proposal: commence immediate attack with shooting.
5T: Request on halt! Our focus is safeguarding the maid, not getting kills!
13P: Tch, they're getting closer and closer! What should we do?
5T: Hold your positions for now. Incessant shooting will only waste energy and leave us rendered. Let them make the move and we'll counter based on what they do.
13P: I don't like this idea that much, but if you say so...
13P and 5T held their positions, awaiting any arrival coming from the opposite team. Meanwhile, Rokurou got out of his hiding spot and looked at Emilia and LightFlare. He wanted to follow the warrior's idea, but their leader's glare gave him another thought.
Rokurou: That look on her face seemingly isn't cool. Maybe I should stick to the plan and-
Agni: Rokurou, a moment.
Rokurou: So you had an idea. What's on your mind?
Agni: Who's your target once again?
Rokurou: It's Hinamori. Yours is 5T, right?
Agni: Right. If their only attack was that one, then I imagine...
Rokurou: ...?
Agni: I have an idea to open them. Once I do that, you advance.
Rokurou: Alright.
Agni dashed towards the watchtower in the middle and once reached it, he quickly climbed the stairs with small hops while Rokurou stood on his position, waiting for the idea to be executed. Once Agni reached the top, he could get a view of the Defense's flank from above. He also knew this left him open to be seen, but the tower had its strategical use. and so, he attacked, in order to let the defense open up a bit.
BGM: After Burner -∞ Climax Mix- (Bayonetta)
Agni: I hope you enjoy the rocket rain, Defense. Spread Disaster!
Aiming at the flank's middle, Agni took out his rocket launcher and shot 8 missiles. The missiles were innacurate and scrambled through their destinations. But his goal wasn't mainly to hit someone: the sudden attack would leave them exposed or at least worried about being hit, switching their focus to the incoming bombard.
Rokurou: Whoa...
Agni: *looks at Rokurou and nods*
Rokurou: Time to rush in!
Rokurou kept moving while following Emilia, unsure if his target would be there or not. However, he felt as if it was a good idea not not be the first one to land a hit, much to his dismay.
13P: What the- incoming rockets!
5T: From where did they come from?! Wait...
13P: Pod, shoot them!!
5T: Damn it...!! Pod!!
Under they commands, the Pods began shooting the missiles. However, because there was a bit of Agni's dark magic on them, they were sturdier than common rockets. Still, they tried to block them, without success.

Arena Trial 001
The defense still kept into position. With Penelope raising a barrier, one side already had a way to block attacks. However, 5T still warned them through the Pods.
5T: Alright, but be careful. They might be already expecting something like a barrier.
13P: OK, get ready! Some of them might be coming anytime soon!
Just like he said, some of them were already moving. Kirimuri and Rokurou were already on the field while the others haven't been able to move yet.
Rokurou; (I'd dash in right now, but I guess that'll make them mad at me. I'll silently walk and approach them.)
Instead of being direct, Rokurou hid behind a wall and waited to the others to arrive.
Agni: Got it. I'll be careful.
Agni deployed to the field, not leaving the flank's area yet. He hed behind a wall, waiting for any sort of robust movement from the sides.

Arena Trial 001: Second Round
BGM: Fantasinian Royal Army March -Defense- (Yggdra Union: We'll Never Fight Alone)
With the buzzer of the countdown ending, the teams began to follow their plan outline. In the defense, as they moved, 13P noticed the other team was in a loss for any communication possibility. Because they were going separate ways and both sides needed to communicate, he gave the Pod a previous order.
13P: Pod, move to the other side towards the back and, once again, I'll leave you under Joyce's control. I want your mic on so that we are able to hear them.
13P's Pod: Affirmative. Moving towards unit Joyce.
His pod quickly flew away towards the other side as instructed to. 5T's Pod began to establish the comm to the other Pod without any orders.
5T: We'll need to be utmost careful in this. The first loss we get breaks our strategy as a hole.
13P: Got it. So no risky movements, right?

5T: Don't be confident that the targets I assigned will be exactly the same for their side. I have my point of view towards the others and it's different from anyone else's. I'm sure each of us will be targeted by someone different than I have imagined, so you need to be ready for any sort of surprise.
13P: I see. Well, then I guess that's it for the plan. 5T, leave your Pod ready for any necessary communication, got it?
5T: Yeah, but let's not risk them too much. Because they're our advantage, the other team will target the Pods first and then us.
Meawhile, the other team had their own plan. Rokurou is going after Hinamori while Agni's target is 5T. They all seemed to agree with it.
Rokurou: Got it. This time, I'm not falling behind.
Agni: ... Understood. I'll do my best.
Rokurou: (Kid's still salty about the loss. That, or the fact he was eliminated too quickly.)
Agni: Why are you staring at me like that?

All of them returned to the teams' waiting lobby as their pause time still ensued and the arena was being currently cleaned. The Offense Team were in commemorating spirits.
13P: YEAH!! We did it!!
5T: Indeed we did. Honestly, I've never expected a trick like this coming from you, 13P.
13P: If I never played dirty, we would've lost. I had to do it.
5T: Yeah, but the same trick won't work twice in a row, so scrap it away for this next round, got it?
13P: Alright, I won't do it. After all, I doubt everyone approves what I did back there.
While everyone seemed to take that moment for resting, 5T already went into thinking about a plan for this second round.
13P: Wait, you're already thinking on the next round?
5T: Obviously. Now that we know how each of us battle a little on a little more detail, we need to formulate a plan to reduce their strengths while covering our weaknesses. After all, we're the Defense now.
13P: Cool. You got something already?
5T: Yes, I have suggestions based on what we saw for this first round. Everyone, listen to them and see what do you all think.
13P sat on the ground and began to listen. 5T started to give his suggestions once again.
5T: Rokurou tends to charge ahead aimlessly, so I can safely ensure that he's going to duel someone without any hesitation or thinking. 13P, I'm putting you in charge of going against him, since you are as reckless yet with a little more of brain to tactics.
13P: OK! Wait... are you calling me dumb?!
5T: Hugh is another brute, but I'm sure he's not an idiot. Even though he can't use his powers, the simple fact he possess superhuman strength and speed are sufficient to him. Not to mention, his sealed powers put his mind to work since he can't have them helping him... Byakuya, he's your target now. You have a cunning mind, so getting him by surprise is not hard. Just be careful to not let yourself open and don't chase him blindly. He's your prey, but he's not defenseless against you.
5T: Etomo is a step up since I believe she has an even brighter mind than Hugh. Not to mention, her punches can pack a significant power, so I guess she'll be able to use them efficiently. We won against her on a 2v1, but with equal numbers that comes around as different as it can be. However, too much thought is going to be a real problem... Ryuko, you can go all out against her. Just be careful and think well on what move you're going to use against her.
5T: Now Emilia. She's someone who you can't afford to doubt. I find it hard to outmatch her on logic and that transformation of hers is definitely more trouble than what I have thought at first. We haven't seen much of what she can do, but this will be the opportunity we'll need to get glimpses of her true skill. I was going to put someone else, but you're her target, Joyce. I think you're able to handle her well, transformed or not.
5T: LightFlare... is a devil in form of a human. As it seems, none of our attacks are able to even hit him. He seems to be able to warp, so I can say that whoever is going to fight him must do two things. One: keep up with him. Two: take risks and try to make him eliminate his own allies, since the range and width of his attacks are quite absurd for a human. Yui... or Leaf, I think you're the most able to do it. I'm fast, but I can't keep up with warping.
5T: Kirimuri's all about traps. He has a lot of trinkets to aid him and that sleep-inducing smoke of his is definitely a problem. We can't have anyone falling asleep, so we need someone who can't be easily affected by him and is smart enough to deflect his tricks. Not only that, but his provocations are what he tends to use as psychological shakers. People resilient to it are recommended. Hinamori, you're suited to do it so I'm counting on you.
5T: Ludger's multitude of weapons gives him an array of advantage since he can take both close and long range. He was only eliminated out of luck, since Light's plan messed up with him. However, I doubt he's going to let this be his impression for us. We need someone that can cover those issues. Penelope, I suppose you have an array of magic at your disposal, so we'll need them to hold Ludger at all costs.
13P: And you're taking Agni head-on, I suppose?
5T: Exactly. I suppose some of you have seen his way of fighting, but he's a total incognita for me. Penelope's fast elimination allowed us to take him out of the picture, but the same trick won't work twice. like I said before. If he has a lot of trinkets, I do too. To be honest, I want to see up close what he's actually capable of.
13P: So what do you all think? Do you guys agree with your targets?
Meanwhile, the Defense team's loss most likely seemed to have reduced morale to them. However, one person didn't seemed exactly bored by it.
Rokurou: So we lost, huh... well, what can I say? That was fun.
Agni: Aren't you bothered by losing? I mean... I am. I barely helped. In the few seconds I had to act, my elimination was so sudden. Damn it, I'm so useless...
Rokurou: Whoa, whoa, wait a second. You don't have to get all depressed because of a loss.
Agni: B-But...
Rokurou: Look, we lost. So what? This isn't a battlefield, it's just a friendly fight. Don't get so stuck into it or else you'll go crazy.

Ace: Wait, Lilly! AGH!!
Before he could even reach her, a lightning bolt hit Ace and sent him outside through the open balcony with Adrammelech following him as instructed. Lilly walked towards the same balcony and looked at the sky.
Lilly: (Agni Artwaltz, I will find you. And you'll give me the answers I want. If you don't, I'll execute you.)
Using her power, Lilly flew towards the sky at powerful speeds. She left her own land in order to search for her brother.

He kept progressing towards the flank, carrying the maid as a piggyback. However, a sudden alert came from the Pod.
13P's Pod: Alert. Two incoming projectiles coming at 13P's position. Chances of escaping are limited to movements towards the west flank.
13P: What the?! Oh, come on!!
13P's Pod: Projectiles reaching in 7... 6... 5... 4... 3...
13P: (Tch, I was hoping to do this alive! Oh well...!!)
13P immediately stopped and crouched while holding the maid as a piggyback to form a sort of shield with her. He lowered his head and waited for the projectiles to come, since his chances of escaping were completely thin.
13P's Pod: 2... 1...
The incoming swords did hit... both of them. Because of the defensive capability removal, even if it was a hilt to the back, it would be a strong hit considering the speed of the trajectory and the impact. However, 13P didn't escaped unscathed. He was eliminated by the second sword.
Spectators: Anna Ametrine, Lucina, Zaveid and Melina
Anna: The maid was hit! She seems to be...
Lucina: The hit was indeed strong. It was a cheap tactic, but considering how it came towards her.
Melina: ... She seems incapacitated and heavily damaged from the hit. Was that the objective behind this?
Anna: No... but it is a victory to the offense, I guess...

The defense lost Agni while the offense lost 5T. Still, the numbers were bigger towards the latter team, which currently had the maid in possession. 13P, who were holding the Mech-Hisui, used it as a captive shield to make an incoming Hugh back off. However, Light had appeared and Emilia suddenly transformed. He walked back towards their left flank exit while Hinamori, Joyce and Ryuko were holding them with attacks.
13P: (Tch, if I run, I'll be caught. I can run fast, but not without carrying this thing in a position that leaves me open to attacks. If only my Pod was active...)
13P's Pod: Pod successfully reunited with Unit 13P. Current status: unit 13P is holding the objective and prepared to depart. Proposal: use program A160 to escape.
13P: Wah! Geez, thanks for the arrival warning... wait, that program... isn't that...?!
Spoiler13P's Battle Properties
In contrast to 5T, 13P's weapon are his fists. He doesn't use a sword or any other weapon like most androids do. Also, while it's capable of attacking from a distance, his Pod has different Programs installed, as they are more physical attacking than 5T's Pod Programs.
Pod Programs (NieR: Automata)
- R020 Mirage: obtaining high speeds, 13P "vanishes" from the field and starts pummeling the space around him.
- R030 Hammer: the Pod begins to charge a mass of energy similar to a hammer and 13P slams the mass into the ground.
- R040 Blade: the Pod opens and releases a small blade of energy, similar to a knife. It begins to spin around 13P at a mass speed.
- R050 Spear: after the Pod charges energy in his fists, 13P pummels the ground and releases a line of spear-like energy masses.
- A080 Wave: 13P generates a powerful shockwave by slamming the Pod in the ground. Only usable in air.
- A090 Wire: under 13P's command, the Pod launches a laser wire towards an enemy. If it connects, 13P is launched towards it.
- A160 Missile: allows 13P to ride the Pod as if it was a missile. Can be used to barge into enemies and has a high knockback.
Punisher Mode
A special mode belonging to the 13P models. Once activated, it boosts 13P's attack power and speed, allowing him to use the Programs more oftenly while dealing attacks with increased damage and knockback. However, after a limited time, this mode will deactivate and 13P will enter in Overheat, which weakens him and makes him entirely dependent of the Pod's shooting.
13P: (That's right! If I use that program, even at its lowest charge, I'll be able to gain distance. All that I have to do now is to have faith in those guys. Alright then...)
13P: Proposal accepted!
13P's Pod: Affirmative. Pod prepared to launch.
The Pod began to charge and release energy around it and around 13P. He looked back at the others and gave them a confident smile.
13P: Alright, guys, you can do this! I'll be going on ahead so keep them busy! Pod!!
13P's Pod: Departing in three, two, one... launching.
Upon aiming it towards the car, 13P quickly hopped and the Pod went away like a missile. Because of its low charge, it didn't lasted long, but it was a faster dash than 13P's normal running.
13P: Hasta la vista, Defense!
Once the charge ended, he was near the right car. Without looking back, he rushed towards the offense's right flank while carrying the maid with him.

Before 5T could fully respond, he was hit in the head and incapacitated.
5T: (Damn it... guess the backfire came right for them...)
Agni: (Thanks! Right, now I just need to shoot-)
Agni, however, aimed at them and didn't notice Penelope coming at him. In the moment he was going to shoot, the arcane wave hit him and sent him to the wall, eliminating him in the process...
Agni: (No... then... am I useless just like 5T said I am...?)
13P, without a reaction to defend himself with his hands, had to play a dirty tactic. He shielded himself with the maid.
13P: (If this fails, I'm out! Even so, I trust they'll be able to get out with it.)

13P: Alright, we don't have time! How are we going to reach her?!
5T: We don't need to get close to her. Also, get ready to run!

The Pod released a gravity field towards the other flank. As it opened, it pulled the Mech-Hisui towards it. Finally understanding the plan, 13P dashed towards the other flank's exit while 5T ran towards the maid herself. Feeling the approach, Agni got out of hiding and pointed his gun, but...
Agni: Damn angle, I can't shoot or else I'll hit her!!
5T: *grabs the maid* It's ours! Now let's hurry and retreat!!
With the Mech-Hisui in their control, 5T dashed towards the exit. He gave her to 13P.
13P: Let's get out right now!!
Agni: No!! I won't let you-
5T: Not so fast! Shoot and she's out of the equation!
Agni: Tch...!! Damn it!!
13P: It's our victory, Defense!

After a long walk, he finally reached the town. From the far west, you could see there weren't many houses, so people might have lived altogether inside those giant spaces. Any sort of shop would have been installed inside it. Who knows how life was in this city... all that he knew was the need to explore it.
???: I suppose this place had its population divided between the city and the village... does it also signified a possivel difference between social classes?
Suddenly, he saw someone there. The island that was supposedly abandoned had someone living within it. He ran towards the person.
???: Ugh, where are the people? Isn't this island supposed to be filled with living beings?

After hearing the explosion, he looked and saw that Light mysteriously vanished. The flank was left open. However, the explosion coming from Kirimuri gave 5T a considerable damage.
5T: Pod... what's my condition after that explosion...?
5T's Pod: Unit 5T has only 15% of energy left back to fight. Defensive capabilities reduced to initial levels are a great disadvantage. Proposal: recover the lost health.
5T: ... Proposal accepted. Activating... Restoration Mode...!
After giving the command, 5T activated his special Restoration Mode. Although his general damage would be cut by half, his own health began regenerating on his own at fast levels. Also, if he needed to use additional recovery on allies, it'll be more potent.
5T's Pod: Updating conditions... health at 27%... health at 43%... health at 79%...
5T: (It won't take some time until I reach 100% again. My defense might have gotten better a little, so I think I'll be able to sustain more damage with this. Even if I get damaged, my health will quickly regenerate. Right now, I'll ignore any sort of attack towards those two and head in their flank, take the hostage and get back to the base... but with LightFlare gone and alive.)
Risky or not, 5T jumped out of the car and ran immediately towards the flank. 13P, from above the wall, jumped and ran towards him, in order to guard him. Because of their speed, meeting up with each other wasn't hard.
13P: Time for the last stretch, 5T! I'll use myself as your shield so let's go!
5T: Right! To the hostage!
Both androids ran towards the flank. Even if there was a surprise attack on this route, one of them would fall while the other could go.
Spectators: Melina, Zaveid, Lucina and Anna Ametrine
Melina: OK, OK. Second question: I went out through the window and not as myself but as this. I have no idea why I was not recognized by your alarm, so...
She converged into butterflies and reconverged. It was a special magic she had.
Lucina: B-Butterflies?
Anna: What sort of magic is that?
Melina: First question. I was doing some recon work outside. I wanted to see the atmosphere of the main city at night to check whether it is safer or not. Turns out it is more quiet than in the morning, which makes it more dangerous.
Melina: And third question, I have no idea. I woke up unconscious on the church, while my original plan was to immediately return here after I was done.
Zaveid: (Recon work? Trust me, how would your recon work at the castle?)
