  1. Investigation Team 3 (Agni and Mirfah) Agni: Good job, Tommy! *pets his head* Mirfah: Oh wow, at least ONE job done right. It's going to rain meteors, everyone get your umbrellas. Agni: C'mon, Mirfah, stop it. You're treating him as if he was a amulet of misfortune... Mirfah: And I'm not wrong. Agni: *sigh* Honestly, dealing with this is becoming slightly difficult.. Even if Tommy's smirk hasn't made Mirfah mad, hearing him call Agni as a "brother" made things slightly tense. Mirfah: Hey, what the hell do you mean by "brother"?! He's not your family! Agni: H-Hey, don't go overboard with this. I don't mind it, anyway... Mirfah: Besides, a weirdo like you would just embarass him. Between us here, I'M qualified to be his brother, not you. Agni: Wha- now you're going to discuss that?! Mirfah: You can't deny that I'd actually be the best brother you'd ever have, right? *hugs Agni with one arm* Agni: (What are you, a preschooler?) Melina Melina: Yes. Here. She took the red gem and the notes from her pocket and gave them to Kirimuri. Melina: According to the notes I read, there was an evil spirit in this jewel. However, it left through the crack and possessed Emilia. There are three ways we can save her. Killing her, exorcist or a magatama. Melina: I, for one, am very comfortable with the first option. Seems rather easier. Of course, you are her galloping "gallant", so I guess you wouldn't want my knives piercing her bosom before she could ever give them to you.
  2. Investigation Team 3 (Agni and Mirfah) Tommy's jumpy hug startled Agni for a little bit, but he couldn't help but smile. However, as he left, something surprised him. Agni: Did... he called me "brother" or was it just me...? Agni: (Not that I mind it, anyway. He's just a kid, so getting worried about it doesn't fit.) He left once again to continue asking in the area. A few moments later... Agni and Mirfah reunited and waited for the others to come back. However, they already started discussing what they found. Agni: How were your finds? Did you manage to discover something? Mirfah: It's all so scrambled... there are people who are in favor... people who are against... people that don't even know what's going on... Agni: Those were the same results for me, I suppose. I don't have a single clue about the rebellion itself or who's leading it... Mirfah: Maybe Hina and Yui have something. Agni: Aren't you excluding someone? Mirfah: That peanut-brained kiddo? He'll never find a clue. Heck, I don't even know how he's able to differ left from right. Agni: Mirfah... Audience Team (Seraph, Magnum and Elizabeth) As they walked alongside Hera, Elizabeth and Magnum were happy about how everything worked. Seraph remained serious as usual. Lize: Yes, we did it Everything went perfectly!! Magnum: Yeah, whoo! I'm glad she didn't asked anything out of us! Seraph: Don't commemorate inside the castle. You're making a ruckus. Lize and Magnum: S-Sorry! Seraph: (The Oracle in the Verve has called these people here... except for some of them who came here in free will, our missions connect in a sense. I suppose this is going to be a long journey... one that I'll be sure to end.) Melina Melina left another room with no success. She wasn't able to find the magatama to recover Emilia yet. Melina: (Another room that does not help. Well, I have to keep looking. This magatama must be hidden somewhere and finding it is primordial.) ... Was he intending to be hidden? In her mind, he could never be a serious assassin. He was just a fool who wanted to play her serious job. However, she found it fun... seeing that was enjoyable. Melina: My my, has the shining knight in armor appeared to save the day? I am sorry, but your princess is another castle. Melina: At any rate and excluding your perverted, ludicrous and shameless way to tell a story, why did you came? Were you not supposed to be at the Warrior's Hangout?
  3. Investigation Team 3 (Agni and Mirfah) As they listened to the answers, a sudden question called their attention. Agni knew Tommy was a little "different", but Mirfah wasn't taking it as an excuse. Agni: I see. Well, thank you, miss. And sorry if I bothered you. Mirfah: Yeah, I feel what you're saying. Anyway, thanks a lot, dude! Walk in the shadows! Agni and Mirfah went back to the others a little, with the latter snapping as he came back. He didn't scream loud though. Mirfah: You idiot! What the hell are you doing?! This is the second time you blow it up! If your loud "no" wasn't enough back at the bus, now you throw random questions at people! Agni: M-Mirfah, calm down. Mirfah: Goddamnit... I'm going back to ask around some more before I end up screaming and giving us away! Tommy, you better not mess this up! I'm not up to fall into a trap because you're stupid! Mirfah left to ask some more people in the area. He was unable to know if this was related to before, when he was lost, but Agni sighed eitherway. Agni: *sigh* How energetic... Agni: Tommy, if you try to ask someone and forget what you're asking, don't throw the first question in your head. Properly say that you're sorry for disturbing them and come to me or someone else.
  4. Investigation Team (Agni and Mirfah) BGM: Layer Cake still playing After walking a little, they reached the northwest area as they have planned. Agni: OK, this seems like a good place to ask around. Mirfah: Tommy, DON'T ask the armored guys! They'll kill you. Agni: You don't need to scare him. Although that isn't a lie... Agni: Well then, let's go. We need to ask around as well. Mirfah: Alright. They went through different directions and asked the people around. Public opinion was important to define the movements of the rebels. Agni: *approaches a woman with a baby* Excuse me, miss. I was wondering how life was going and I wanted to know if things here are acceptable or not. Mirfah: *approaches a punk* Yo. Hey man, how are things going out for you? Do you like it or is it annoying as hell? Audience Team (Seraph, Magnum and Elizabeth) BGM: The Old City of Vigrid still playing They eventually reached the corridor leading to the throne room. Lize: Look at that big door right ahead! That must be the throne room, right? Magnum: Yeah, definitely. I mean, it just screams "throne room" at you. Ignoring Magnum and Elizabeth's childish excitement, Seraph walked over to Nemesis. He noticed her nervous expression, but decided to calm her down or at least he'd try to. Seraph: I leave the explanation to you once again. If you need backup, I'll speak. Melina BGM: Palace of the Insane still playing Melina: I guess the dead will not mind if I break their sanctuary, would they? With a knife, Melina broke the lock apart. It was really old, so it snapped the immediate moment she slashed it. When she opened the room, it was something of a dark sanctum. More as if it was some sort of sealed place. Melina: Oh my, so the spirit who possessed Emilia was dangerous enough to be sealed in this room. Now, what object emitted that light? She looked around, but nothing was that interesting. However, one thing came to her attention: the hole in the wall. Behind it, a red jewel stood there, gleaming at a pedestal. Melina: (They sealed the spirit inside this ruby... or crimson jewel, in all case. But I can see there is a small crack inside it. It pointed directly towards this hole...) Melina: (... It was quick enough. I suppose it left through the crack...? But I need to confirm it.) She removed the jewel. Something about it seemed different, but she couldn't point it out. Then, at another corner, she saw a note. Going there, she began reading it. Melina: "Inside this jewel lies the vengeful spirit of an angel. Banished from Heaven, he wished to spread judgement on humankind. Whether the person is sinful or not, its most deepest wish is to create a world free of sins. As sheeps that have lost the herder, it believes that humans are lost and cannot find its way to god. We have witnessed its appearance on a nun. We had to send her to eternal rest in order to free her from his possession." Melina: "Before it could escape, we imprisoned the evil spirit inside this gem. From here, it shall never leave. However, we cannot guarantee that is failproof. A single crack is able to give freedom to this... monster. If it ends possessing someone else, there are three things that can be done to save it. 1: Kill the person who has succumbed to its possession. 2: Call upon a spiritmaster to remove it and, if possible, banish it. 3: Use a magatama. The moment it connects, it will absorb the spirit inside it." Melina wasn't of doing good actions much, but it wouldn't hurt. After all, she needed to prove that, despite her story, she wasn't an enemy. Melina: A magatama, it said? I doubt they would not have it prepared and just leave it as it is. I shall take this jewel with me and look for it. She left the room and kept exploring. Now, it would take a time to find this item. She had to be quick, before the possessed Emilia could ever awake and attack her. If that happened, Melina wouldn't think twice to use option 1.
  5. Investigation Team (Agni and Mirfah) BGM: Layer Cake still playing Agni and Mirfah nodded at Light and descended from the bus. They looked around and saw that "guards" were walking around alongside the public. Mirfah: Darn, there's a heavy concentration inside as well. Agni: This is going to be difficult. I doubt we'd blend in with the public that easily here. Let's move to remote areas of the slums and ask. Mirfah: Let's take the northwest route then. The others can see where they want to go, right? Agni: Yeah, let's not stand around too much. Ask to the people about the situation of the slums and if they agreed with it or not. Let's reunite back here and discuss what we could find. Agni and Mirfah went towards the route to the northwest section of the slums. They looked back at the others while walking, to see if the rest of the team was coming along. Standing still would definitely raise suspicion coming from the guards. Melina BGM: Palace of the Insane still playing She went in the corridor and looked around. All the doors remained the same. Melina: All those doors... judging by how they are looking, those are basic rooms... hmm? An obviously locked room stood right in front of her. It seemed very hideous. Melina: What are they hiding here, I suppose...
  6. Investigation Team (Agni and Mirfah) BGM: Layer Cake (Persona 5) Dante and Light's answer made it clear: those weren't the normal royal guards. Agni, having some knowledge and experience in war, began to get a hypotesis. One deadly and chaotic hypotesis. Agni: It's just as I thought then. Those guys aren't the actual royal guards... Mirfah: Hold on, aren't you guys thinking too much about this? Maybe they're just new and don't know how to do things right- Agni: Being new doesn't explain the old armor, Mirfah. Those guards are nothing but rogues. I'm starting to feel there's a bigger picture behind this whole shenanigan. This whole issue... it's starting to sound as if the people of the slums are planning to do something. Mirfah: Whoa, that's some progression! How'd you managed to go that far? Agni: Like I said, it's just a hunch. By all means, I could be wrong. He thought about it. The investigation had to proceed, but how they would be able to do it? There was a point that drove Agni's attention. Agni: (Is the discontentment of the slums affecting the people and the public opinion moved towards it? If it is, then...) Mirfah: Agni... let me get this straight. What are you actually saying is... Agni: ... the Slums are organizing something. What that something is, I don't know. Agni: Right now, we need to discover what's going on here. Let's split into the teams and ask around. Mirfah: OK... but what exactly should we ask? Agni: If people are discontent. Mirfah: What? Agni: Listen, I'm starting to have a general idea of what's going on behind this and I'm not liking it one single bit. If we know the public opinion, we'll reach the answer. After all... Agni: You all got the grasp of the idea I have, don't you...? Mirfah thought about it. Soon, he managed to reach another point of view, sharing it with Agni. His worriness eventually grew. Mirfah: ... Hold on, that's... crazy! What the hell?! If this is right, then...!! Agni: So, you got it. And what about you guys? Have you managed to understand the theorical situation I though? @LightFlare_Da_Realest @Tony Redgrave @Mister Fael @NijikakuFan61
  7. Investigation Team (Agni and Mirfah) BGM: Elsa Maria's Stage Theme begins playing again Mirfah: Yeah! Even though we almost slipped up... right, Agni? But as he mentioned and looked back, he could see that the angel didn't seem happy with the situation. On the contrary... he was even more worried than before. Agni: (There's something bothering me. His actions were completely different from the ones of a normal guard... even the way he talked wasn't normal... this is...) Mirfah: Agni, why the hell are you so quiet for? C'mon, it worked! Agni: ... There's something weird in all this. I know we managed to pass and I'm happy about that, but... He wanted to commemorate with them, but the situation wasn't letting him. Questions swirled in his head and he needed to confirm it. Depending on the answer, it could be a sign that even worse things will happen. Agni: That guard... the way he did things wasn't normal. At least, not the procedure I can see as normal. Mirfah: What... do you mean? Agni: I need to confirm this. Light, Dante... since you both are here for a longer time, I need you to sincerely answer this. Is this usual coming from the guards or this is a once-in-never experience?
  8. Audience Team (Seraph, Magnum and Elizabeth) BGM: The Old City of Vigrid still playing Seraph: Seems it worked just fine. Now, let's go. Magnum: Roger! Lize: OK. They followed Nemesis, Jude and Yomi to the castle interior. Seraph was ready for the discussion, while Magnum and Elizabeth were nervous, each with their reason. Magnum: (Calm down, Magnum... don't slip up... you don't want to fail this mission...!) Lize: (I have to make Seraph open up! I need the details! But how am I going to do that?!) Melina BGM: Palace of the Insane still playing Melina: I will take caution, but if she does something to me, I will kill her. It will not be her fault, unfortunately, but I do not know how to "play nice" whenever I am battling. She waved to them and went inside alone. There were many rooms, but she looked for whatever could lead to the thing that made Emilia lose her free will.
  9. Investigation Team (Agni and Mirfah) BGM: Fell on Black Days starts playing Seeing that he started to play, Agni began to follow him with fingersnaps as he started to get up. Mirfah accompanied by using the seat as a sort of percussion for the song. Agni: (This has to work... this definitely has to work or else we're done for!) Mirfah: (Don't stop it now!! Don't stop it now!!) @LightFlare_Da_Realest @Mister Fael @Tony Redgrave
  10. Investigation Team (Agni and Mirfah) BGM: Elsa Maria's Stage Theme still playing Two guards entered the bus and began to check all of it. Soon, a loud "No!" from a certain voice could be heard. Mirfah: (That damn idiot!! I'm going to kill him after this!!) Agni: (Hell, this is bad...!! There's gotta be something that we can do!) Soon, Agni noticed the guitar from under the a seat and Tommy hiding the most as he could. He looked at his shivering friend and while he couldn't speak to call attention, he silently spoke "Play the guitar!" with his lips. ´
  11. Investigation Team (Agni and Mirfah) BGM: Lights, Camera, Action! still playing Agni: Alright, so it's Light, Etomo, Ryuko, Kyosuke and Cu Chulainn on team 1... Ludger, Hugh, Frank, Dante and Joseph on team 2... me, Mirfah, Lucina, Tommy, Yui and Hina on team 3... Mirfah: I suppose that does it right. Now that we're ready, let's do our best!! *BGM fades* Agni seemed satisfied and returned to look at the window. However, the sight was indeed horrible. Mirfah: Agni? What's wrong? Agni: Oh no... Look right there. BGM: Elsa Maria's Stage Theme (Grief Syndrome) They reached the slums, but from the window they could see something. The security of the whole place was tightened. Guards were everywhere, from the street to the roofs. Heavily armed, for purposes unknown. Mirfah: Holy hell... those're a damn lot of guards! Agni: I already knew it was going to be bad... but something like this... Suddenly, the bus stopped without reaching the bus stop they were going to land, near to the entrance to the Slums. When Agni looked at the driver, he made a strange signal, like a salutation to something in front of him, but he could get the message. Agni: A guard is coming towards the bus! Get behind the seats and stay quiet at all cost! He and Mirfah lowered the profile. It could be something overboard, but something told Agni this wasn't going to be an actual nice trip like Light said before... Melina BGM: Palace of the Insane still playing Melina: That... isn't frightening. I came from a world with mages and gods. Something like thunder falling and light blasts are not surprising to me. Besides, I am not too concerned. I would be if you had actually lost. Melina: In any case, the conversation ends here. I will check the interior of this side. Maybe I can find the source of that strange light that did this to her.
  12. Investigation Team (Agni and Mirfah) BGM: Lights, Camera, Action! still playing They went inside the bus as LightFlare paid their fee. It was actually empty, which would help them to discuss plans without worrying people. The driver didn't seem to mind it much. Then, Light asked for his and Ludger's opinions about the division; Agni: Well... this is hard. I can't imagine how tight will be once we arrive. I do have a feeling we'll end up finding a lot of trouble... Mirfah: I think we should split into three groups. I mean, everyone here's well equipped and we're not losing that easily in a fight. Agni: Problem is, we have to limit ourselves. We can't rush and use all of our powers. And while we're talking on that... Changing Paradigm to Medic. Agni changes his skill set before arriving. He feels as if he'll be more useful healing. He could change to Synergist, but the situation doesn't seem to call it. As for the separation, he reached a conclusion. It was based on a hypotesis, but... Agni: I'm positive they have informed about the incident with Light... it's hard to think about the situation being in favor to us, even if I'm speaking hypotetically... even so... Agni: Let's separate in three groups. Light will lead Team 1, Ludger leads Team 2 and.I'll take Team 3, if you don't mind. Mirfah: I don't! I call dibs on Team 3!! Agni: D-Don't be hasty, we need to know if everyone agrees with the idea first! Audience Team (Seraph, Magnum and Elizabeth) BGM: The Old City of Vigrid (Bayonetta) As the guards left, Seraph saw Nemesis' concerned face. He knew how it was pressuring: one slip and it was back to square zero with them. Seraph: Your explanation was sufficient, Nemesis. Let's wait here until then. Lize: I wonder if the king is a nice person. Maybe he'll let me sing if I ask nicely~ Magnum: Nah, let's stick to the plan. Talk what's important and that's that. Lize: *sigh* Fine, fine... Seraph: ... Lize: Well, since we're already waiting, why don't we take the time to know each other? Magnum: Wait, is this really a good time for it? Lize: Of course it is. Or do you prefer to stay standing here, doing nothing? Magnum: Well, when you put it like that... Lize: See? So, let's start by the most mysterious person here... Seraph! Seraph: I'm not interested in talking about my private life. Lize: Huh? C'mon, you don't have to be that frigid. Seraph: Enough with the ruckus. Be quiet and wait. Melina BGM: Palace of the Insane (Resident Evil CODE: Veronica) The church was completely in shambles. It seems some sort of brawl had already happened there. The door was wide open, so she didn't lose time and went inside. Melina: ... Just as I expected. She saw Kiryu and Kirimuri inside. Near them was lying an unconscious Emilia. Melina: How desperate were you to return here, Kirimuri? This place has indeed piqued curiosity, but was it actually to come after her? Melina: Well, no matter. It helps since I can finally explore the enviroment without her bothering. Saves me the necessity of using my knives too. She began to walk towards a corridor lying at the east side of the church's interior, from where the hole stood. Before she left, however, she saw his injury. Melina: My, my, someone was careless. I would not expect that you would take a hit like that. Even your power is slightly tense, somehow. Melina: Sir Kiryu, would you be so gentle and take him back? If she awakens, you will not be in a true condition to fight and carry him around at the same time.
  13. Investigation Team (Agni and Mirfah) Agni: Hold on, where's Melina?! Mirfah: Great, she just left on her own! Can't she help us once in a while?! Agni: Leave her be. We'll never understand her correctly anyway... Audience Team (Seraph, Magnum and Elizabeth) Seraph grabbed the pouch and looked back at LightFlare. Seraph: Well, I never used the bus, but I suppose that's the best option. Still, we have to be careful with the money we spend. Seraph: That said, can you do me a favor? I don't want you to bother too much with this, but look after Agni for me. I'm sure he's more motivated now, but he's still a kid and can be rash sometimes. Melina Melina quickly left the Hangout. She had mentioned about continuing the investigation, but never in her mind passed the idea of staying alongside Light and Agni. She knew they were aware of her, but different from Kirimuri, they weren't assassins, but some "heroes". Melina: (I have to continue this alone... or at least keep myself close to that fool.) Melina: (He might have gone to the church. Either he wanted to investigate it or he was "brave" enough to distract himself with her.)
  14. Investigation Team (Agni and Mirfah) BGM: Lights, Camera, Action! (Sonic Mania) As they walked towards a bus stop to take the ride towards the Slums, Agni though about Light's question. Agni: Considering whta you said before about the fake guards, they'll try to attack us from all directions. We don't have a layout to do a tactic route either. Our best option is to divide into smaller groups when we arrive and try to hold the most of area as possible. Mirfah: And if those fake guards decide to attack us? Agni: As much as I'd like to say "fight back at will", there are innocents in the town. We can't drag them to our mess. Agni: Drive them out to the most open place as possible and engage them there. Even the smallest of the squares can help. Agni sounded different. It's as if he managed to believe in himself more than before. Mirfah: Heh... you look pretty different, Agni. Agni: How so...? Mirfah: I dunno, you're speaking like a general now. I feel as I should respond with "Yes, sir!" or something like that. Agni: Oh, stop it. And don't treat me like one either. Agni: We're on equal grounds here. I don't give orders, I give suggestions. Mirfah: Heh, if you say so.
  15. The Warrior's Hangout - Lobby The teams were already split. The number was more lenient towards the Investigation Team, while the Audience team seemed to have fewer people. Still, it could be better that way. After all, they could cause less attention in the castle. Seraph: Well, with all said, I am joining the audience. Lize: (Perfect! Now I can now about Agni's details from his brother!) Magnum: (O-Oh god, Lord Seraph will accompany me! I-I can't mess this up or else he won't forgive me!) With everything settled, they were ready to leave at the directions they were supposed to go. But before that, Seraph went to Agni once more. Seraph: Agni, can I talk with you? Agni: Yeah, brother. What is it? Seraph: Believe in the people you're walking with. Don't try to rush things alone and don't raise the white flag until things truly end. Agni: OK, I got it. Seraph: And one more thing... Without warning, Seraph kissed Agni's forehead. The boy's face went red because this was unexpected. Seraph: I love you, Agni. Don't die on me. Agni: ... I... I love you too, Seraph. I won't abandon you. It's the promise we made back then, when you took me in as your brother. Seraph: Yeah. If you need me, just scream my name. It doesn't matter where you are, I'll go to you. Agni: I... I will. He gave Agni a last hug and went back to the Audience Team. On the back, Elizabeth was having a fan squeal moment. Lize: (Gawds, that was soooooo adoooooorable~!! I wanna hug him and do something like that too!!) Magnum: Liz, what's wrong? Why you're holding your hands so close to your mouth? Lize: Ah!! Lize: M-Magnum, you blockhead!! D-Don't interrupt my fantasy, OK?! Magnum: U-Uh, OK... (She's so weird...) Seraph: Well, let's depart. Lead the way, Nemesis. While the other team was ready to leave, Agni still had its face completely red. Agni: ... Mirfah: Agni, you're completely red. Do you have a fever? Agni: I-It's nothing! C-C'mon, let's go! Mirfah: Huh... OK.
  16. Location: The Warrior's Hangout - Lobby Seraph: I see. In that case... Agni, have a look out on Mirfah. Agni: OK. Mirfah: Why me?! Lize: You have a bad sense of direction and you're also a loudmouth. Mirfah: Hey, I resent that!! Lize: ... I need a silver tape. Does someone have a silver tape? Melina: ... We are going to have a lot of troubles if we head there in a big group like this. I suppose. We should divide the group. A part of us goes to investigate the Northwest Candor and the other part goes to the audience. Seraph: Melina is right. Let's divide ourselves in two groups. This was indeed an issue. But it was easily settled. Agni: I'm up for investigating the northwest. Melina: I wish to continue the investigation of the town, so I shall head there. Mirfah: If you guys don't really want me meeting the king, I'll just go with Agni and Melina. Lize: I will meet a king?! Oh my gosh, I'm so into this!! Magnum: I-I hope I don't embarass myself too much.
  17. Location: The Warrior's Hangout - Lobby Agni: ... no... Magnum: Agni? BGM: Decretum (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) Agni: No, I'm not OK!! Lize: A-Agni?! Agni: Every. Single. Time. Someone has to speak up for me, someone has to take the lead because I just decided to stay quiet and comfortable with the situation!! Seraph: ... Agni: If I'm searching Magio right now, it's because I thought everything would be OK when it wouldn't! I had a feeling back then... that whatever he would do was going to be dangerous... but I was accessary with the whole situation! I just said OK and let him go! Agni: I'm so stupid!! I keep losing important people because I decide to not hurt them by saying "no" or disagreeing with them!! It was an unnecessary self-loathing, but at least Magnum and Seraph were surprised... and worried. This was the first time they heard Agni heavily frustrated with something. Seraph kneeled and looked at his brother, who was almost in the verge of tears. Seraph: ... Agni. Agni: What? Seraph: Do you know your biggest error? You nitpick at every single flaw. It's true, you stood quiet. However, what if going along wouldn't have changed the result? If you disappeared instead? Wouldn't he be worried? Seraph: And what about me? Your brother... how would I feel? Lize: Brother?! Wait, you two are- Mirfah: Don't ruin it now, idiot! Seraph: I think LightFlare can confirm it. All the things you did back at Kalos... were they all a lie? Have you truly done nothing to help them back there? Agni: B-But- Seraph: For once, stop blaming yourself and move forward! It's not the time for you to hold yourself in the past! And if you don't have the spirit to take a decision alone, talk to me! I'm here for you! Seraph's face made Agni realize one thing that was important. He never truly needed to do anything alone. There were people to back him up. His brother, Magnum... even if he didn't speak up when Mirfah questioned him, he never needed to stay so conflicted. Agni: I'm going to find him... and I will take everyone back home. I won't lost anyone important anymore... Agni: That I swear as the Second Archgeneral of Heaven! Seraph: ... Agni: But... I can't do that alone... so let's help each other! On our goals! Seraph: ... You finally said it. And don't worry, I guarantee I'll always be there for you. BGM: Provincial Makai City Esoteria (Touhou Seirensen: Undefined Fantastic Object) Melina: Ahem. That might be a beautiful moment, but your rant is wasting our time. We need to figure out how to have an audience with the king. Magnum: Melina, you little insensitive- Agni: No, she's right. I'm sorry for the rant, but I needed to let this out or else it'd be hard to move on. Melina: As long as it does not happen anymore. We do not have much spare time to understand each other's problems, so let us make haste. Seraph got back on feet and looked at Darkflare. Seraph: Darkflare, is there anything peculiar about the king you can say? How was your meeting?
  18. Location: The Warrior's Hangout - Lobby Seraph looked at the situation. It seems that they were all on the same boat, riding aimlessly at an uncertain horizon. He'd prefer not to involve other people, but since they were already involved. Seraph: It seems as if most of us are in the same condition. I suppose we should begin to work together. Like she said, we can't leave every stone unturned. Clues are lying in every part and we must find them. Seraph: Our issues with trust will be resolved in the way. What I can affirm you is that I will get to the bottom of this. Lize: I agree with him. BGM: Non sola sum (Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable) Out of everyone, Elizabeth started talking. She seemed to not care much about it, though. Lize: Well, to be pretty frank, I really... don't care. All I want is to become an idol and make my very own success. I was forced to join this whole shenanigan because of that damned Victoria... Lize: But since I'm in this, I'll make the most of it. Who knows, maybe my success awaits me here! ... At the very least, she was being sincere. Through her convinced words, Elizabeth affimed that she would work together with them. Mirfah: You know, I might be a dumb and hot-head idiot, but I really want to know what's going on. If there's a chance I can help again, I won't even stand back watching. Mirfah: We're all returning to our homes! I'll make it happen, even if I'm not that smart! Melina: ... There are many things right now that bother me. I will not even say them because of my manners. But I would like nothing more than return to my uncle. Melina: I have no choice, either way. I shall lend my ability to you all. Magnum: You don't even have to ask. Of course I'm going! I'm a commander of the Multiversal Heaven, after all! Magnum: Plus, I won't back down on a fight! Not until the bell fully rings! They smiled at each other. If it was a real or a fake, no one would know. But at the very least, they agreed to work together instead of bickering between each other. Seraph was satisfied with that much. Seraph: Well, glad that you managed to reach a decision. What about you, Agni? *BGM ends* But he received no response. His brother didn't say "yes" or "no" and not even a commentary of how cheesy the routine was. Seraph: Agni? BGM: Conturbatio (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) Agni: (Again... they had to cover for me again... why did I stood quiet like that... why didn't I say anything? Every single time... someone has to step on forward because I'm afraid of hurting someone by saying no...) Agni: (It's just like back then with Magio...) Agni: (If I hadn't spoken that, Magio would be definitely here... and Lucina wouldn't have to risk herself throughout the worlds... it's all my fault, just because I said it was OK...) Agni: (I, the Second, can't decide by myself! What the hell is wrong with me?! Am I to repeat the same mistakes from before?!) Agni closed his face and stood quiet thinking. The guilt was taking upon him and he felt weak. Having to be defended without being able to defend back... doing nothing and leaving things as it is instead... unable to do things alone... if those things were wrong or not, he didn't know for sure. At the moment, they felt like the worst thing possible.
  19. Location: The Warrior's Hangout - Lobby BGM: Who's There? (Persona 4) Melina: (Time to unmask you two.) Mirfah: Wait... you guys are angels, right? Then... you both...!! Angered by that fact, Mirfah grabs Agni by his collar Agni: Geh!! Magnum: Agni!! Mirfah: Are your gods set out against humanity again?! Is this your way of throwing us altogether so you can kill us all at once?! Agni: N-No, I would never- Lize: Mirfah, don't jump to conclusions! Let Agni explain it- Mirfah: In my world, gods descended to kill humans!! That means the angels fought too!! You two... are here to eliminate all of us, AREN'T YOU?! Melina: His story is the same of mine. My home has been invaded and destroyed by the gods! I escaped... but my brothers and sisters... they all... They were set into a corner. Now the blame was being deposited under them. It didn't seemed intentional, but because of circumstances it would be natural to doubt them. Lize: ... Magnum: As if we'd ever do such a thing!! *pushes Mirfah away* Mirfah: H-Hey!! Magnum: We came here on our own!! We have our own mission to achieve, which no other angel soldiers were charged with!! Melina: Words coming from the lower are fruitless without proof... why not we ask the higher head instead? Melina walked forward towards Agni, looking directly into him. Melina: Second Archgeneral of the Multiversal Heaven... Agni Artwaltz. You do understand the situation that falls upon you. Right now, the accusation of trapping us into this world falls upon your very hands. Melina: I will ask once again... are you the one responsible for doing this to all of us?! Agni: ... Mirfah: You coward, what are you so quiet for?! Say something!! Magnum: He owes no explanation to anyone!! Agni would never do such a thing!! Seraph: Enough. You're asking the lower level. BGM: Revenge Blues (Disgaea 5: A Promise Unforgotten) He spoke before the questioning could ever continue. Melina was caught in surprise, as her plan to put everyone against the duo was put into a halt. Melina: W-Who are you? Seraph: First Archgeneral of the Multiversal Heaven, Seraph Artwaltz. Mirfah: You're... the first?! Seraph: What are the complaints again? Mirfah: What are the complaints?! Simple! You angels took out those search parties and teleported us here! Seraph: And what proof do you have of it? The same comment you did, Princess Melina, I copy. Melina: E-Eh?! Seraph: A two-faced traitor like you should stay quiet. It's true that the gods attacked and destroyed your home, but nothing you did to defend it. You simply left it there as a target while you ran away. Melina: What?! Why you...!! Seraph: And you, Mirfah. Mirfah: H-How do you know my name?! And more importantly, if you're the first, then- Seraph: Stay quiet. I don't need you bothering me with you questions while I explain. Am I clear? Mirfah: Geh...!! (I'd rebound it, but his frigid voice...!!) Seraph himself walked and stood in front of Agni and Magnum. He looked directly at Yomi, the one who questioned her credibility. Seraph: This incident has no relation to us, angels of the Multiversal Heaven. In the past four years, we never sent any search party at any world. And in this case of the disappearing search teams, I have taken the responsibility to solve this matter alone. As for Agni and Magnum, they were sent to search for me and another soldier of Heaven, who had stopped maintaining contact for the last two months. Agni: (Seraph...) Seraph: Still, if you clearly wish to deposit the blame on us, feel free to do it so. It doesn't change what we came here to do.
  20. Location: The Warrior's Hangout Agni gave her a firm nod, understanding that she had something to say, but she was waiting for everyone to arrive. Soon, Kimimuri and Melina returned from their scouting. As she walked in, Seraph had a surprised fact to see her walking, talking... be there in general. Melina: Oh my, so many people. I suppose we did miss much of it, correct? Seraph: (What the...? How is the Sixth Bariura Princess alive? I can understand the amount of people here, since they are alive... but she's...) Magnum: I suppose Lord Seraph has the same doubt as ours about Melina. Agni: I would be surprised if he understood it immediately. Seraph: (... Someone revived her. I can feel her life being manipulated, as if she was just a puppet.) Agni: And... he made heads or tails of it. Magnum: He's quick. As expected of Lord Seraph. Seraph: (... What are you intending to do with her? Is she another of your pawns for you devious schemes?) Location: Candor City - Streets BGM: Wretched Weaponry -Quiet- (NieR: Automata) The little girl kept walking until she ended in an abandoned alleyway. She looked behind her to see if no one was near and opened a weird portal. ???:Are you sure that this is what you wish to do? Become their enemy? She seemed to be talking alone, but she started to smile with a response only she was able to hear. ???: To think you'd start to go against the side you fully belong... Hah, that's so entertaining. Maybe I could insert some chaos here to see what they're made of. ???: Hmm...? The Primids want to wreak havoc and you want me to hold them a little more? Her smile stopped but soon returned. She was disagreeing with the voice coming from the portal. ???: Sorry, but I'll use them as I wish. I'm not the one who likes to wait when the chance of breaking out things. Nothing spoke to her anymore. She looked back at Candor's majestic view. ???: Such a waste... this beautiful town is going to be destroyed and left in ruins soon enough. Either by my hand or by someone else. But I don't care. ???: In the end... all worlds will eventually be mine. All shall be plunged in the Subspace... She entered in the portal as it disappeared. What is the plan of this mysterious girl? And from who or what was the voice that only spoke to her?
  21. Agni Artwaltz, Magnum Alexandria, Elizabeth Bathory, Mirfah and Seraph Artwaltz Location: The Warrior's Hangout - Lobby BGM: Pascal (NieR: Automata) still playing The elevator door opened and they came out of it. Everyone was reunited in the lobby, almost not having that much space. Agni: We're back. Lize: Agni! I saw your match, you were incredible! Agni: Ah, uhh... thanks. Mirfah: You weren't bad as well, Magnum. Magnum: Heheh. Thanks, Mirfah! Seraph: (So many people here... from Heroic Spirits to spirit masters... what reunited them, I wonder.) Agni: Is... something bothering you, Seraph? Seraph: Ah no, don't mind me. I was just thinking a little. As Agni looked around, he saw that Nemesis had returned. He went towards her and asked her the usual. Agni: Oh, Nemesis! Where have you been? I haven't seen you in a while. Agni: I was kind of worried that something might have happened. Are you alright?
  22. Agni Artwaltz, Magnum Alexandria and Seraph Artwaltz Location: The Warrior's Hangout - Underground Arenas BGM: Pascal (NieR: Automata) They reappeared in the pods. Both were considerably tired. Agni: Whoo... that was a heck of a fight... Magnum: Damn... I lost... Magnum: But at least it was for you, so it doesn't matter. Agni: Heh, in the next time, don''t think so low of me. Seraph walked towards them while clapping. He seemed very satisfied with the results, not thinking about who won. Seraph: Well, you two were excellent. I can see why you two are one of the best back at home. Agni: Heh, well... compared to you, we're still newbies... Seraph: Much to the contrary. I think you're both are quite skilled. Sometimes, even more than me. Magnum: I... I'm receiving praise... from Lord Seraph... holy saint god... Agni: Magnum... Seraph: *sigh* You're overdoing it, stop. Magnum: A-Ah!! Y-Yes, sir!! I'm sorry, sir!! Seraph: ... Agni: Easy there, one day this will be different. Seraph: Now... Agni, extend your arm. Agni: Huh? What for? Seraph: You'll see. Just extend it. Agni did as Seraph ordered and extended his arm. He put a metal bracelet that was exactly sized as Agni's arm. Agni: What... is this...? Seraph: I've ordered this specially to you, Agni. It's a holografic device that contains your weapons. Your dual guns are there, alongside a machine gun, a rifle, a rocket launcher and a laser cannon. Consider it as a gift. Agni: Brother... Seraph: You can change them between battle however you may wish. It's hard at the beginning, but you'll get the hang of it. Agni: Thanks. I'll make the most use of it. Magnum: Good job, Agni! Agni: Same can be said to you. Seraph: Well, let's get back upstairs. One round is already good. Agni and Magnum: OK!
  23. Elizabeth Bathory and Mirfah Location: The Warrior's Hangout - Lobby They were supposed to fight, but got distracted with Hinamori's and Nemesis' return. Not to mention, they ended up getting into Agni's and Magnum's battle, so they totally forgot about theirs. Lize: No... Agni! Mirfah: Wow... Magnum's strong. Sheesh, those punches seemed to hit hard. Then, the battle ended with Agni being the victor in the end. Lize: He did it?! He did it! Agni won!! Mirfah: Holy hell, how did he managed to just win?! Those beatdowns seemed brutal! Lize: That's Agni for you! Don't go underestimating an Archgeneral! Seraph Artwaltz Location: The Warrior's Hangout - Underground Arenas As the battle ended, Seraph's face couldn't portray something else other than a smile. Seraph: (Agni played a good list of reversals. He really did managed to turn back things around with the sudden grapples and traps.) Seraph: (Hmm. Just as I expected... these two are good to go.) Melina Location: Aromatic Corner Café Melina takes her last sips out of her cup, finishing the tea. Melina: Yes, let us return. We had managed to do some investigation in some of the town's layout but the rest will have to wait.
  24. Melina Location: Aromatic Café Corner Melina: *sigh* Very well. If you wish so much to know... Melina, even if she was sitting, bowed graciously back at Kimimuri. She felt as she had no way to escape around him and making enemies right now would be dangerous to her. Melina: I am the Sixth Princess of the Bariura Kingdom, Melina. I am the leader of the Intelligence Division and an expert in assassination since I was 7 years old. Before I transported here, I left my home with my uncle Chrome. Our world currently is in a cataclysmic war, since the gods have decided to purge the entirety of mankind. My family stood back to defend the kingdom... and I left. I have no intention to hold ties with Bariura anymore. Melina: And no, my intention to secure a safe route was not different than yours. Despite I am a traitor, I have no goal of making enemies out of anyone in the group.
  25. Location: The Warrior's Hangout - Underground Arenas Seraph Artwaltz From the outside, Seraph spectated the whole battle. He was impressed at how Magnum was fast to attack Agni, reacting to his brother's superior speed. Seraph: (Magnum sure is strong. His movements are completely powerful and his Paradigms are combined especially for his physical combat techniques. Even if Agni's faster, he managed to get time enough to react through brute force.) Seraph: (But I'm sure Agni will make a comeback. He never gives up, even when odds are against him.)
