  1. Im not sure why but in some fights while im fighting or the AI is fighting I encounter characters who get stuck up in the air.

     

    What causes this? Can it be fixed or can i use a debug key to fix it? 

     

    I press CTRL + I hoping that might do something and sometimes it does. The character's AI will jump down but other times it'll stand there and try to hit the opponent. This is never an issue while im not recording but it's a problem while i am. 

     

    Floating is sometimes caused by the following: Countering Grapples, Grappled during Pausetime, initiating Pausetime moves while user or opponent is jumping/launched into the air and using pausetime as part of a counter attack.

     

    I know it's never just a random mishap, some characters may have missing states/sprites and others are just interrupted during certain actions at the wrong time. If anyone knows how I may be able to fix this let me know. It could occur by certain characters causing different situations.

     

    Pill by Robo<---has a move that pauses time and uses it at any time. She causes floating on herself and her opponents so I'll see if I can get her fixed and use the helpful advice on any future floaters. She's my main focus since she does it a lot.

     

     

  2. I just tested a stage with zoom and it works fine.  Yes, on my old ass Mugen 1.0 screenpack with localcoord 640x480.  Make sure you didn't overwrite the Mugen cfg or something dumb.  Sounds like you most certainly did.

    after feeling disappointment...i also deleted the screenpack*facepalm* but after recording a single video and testing Cosmic Collision again it appeared correctly on the beta but the video was upside down...? easy to fix! I'll test it tomorrow i clearly need to get some sleep....im marking this as solved.

    I found the problem...I threw my screenpack and all my characters and stages onto the alpha build of mugen 1.1 which is older than the beta...completely forgetting i had the alpha and beta next to each other....the alpha doesn't have a re-sizeable screen but the beta does. whoops, Atleast i took out my characters, songs and stages before deleting it in frustration....yes i did delete it...i was supposed to do that when i downloaded the beta 1.1

  4. Mugen 1.0 screenpacks work on Mugen 1.1 just fine.  I still use my own Mugen 1.0 screenpack and haven't modified it since upgrading.

    not working with certain mugen 1.1 stages...I can't seem to get a window that i can resize. Omegapsycho's stages work but any other 1.1 stage isn't displaying correctly like Cosmic Collision. So now i have to delete this engine and get a new one real quick since i overwrote it's data files with the Screenpacks....back to the drawing board for me!

  5. Mugen 1.0 screenpacks work on Mugen 1.1 just fine.  I still use my own Mugen 1.0 screenpack and haven't modified it since upgrading.

    wait...they can work on 1.1? I saw a few threads on Mugenguild a while back that they couldn't. I believed it too lol...I guess i can try it. the Ares Screenpack is old.

  6. With a huge roster means a huge need for another huge screenpack. I haven't been able to find any THIS big yet for Mugen 1.1. If YOU know any just post a link or PM it to me your choice. I doubt a 1.0 screenpack would work because it's 3600 slots and meant for 1.0 sadly...if no screenpacks exist for 1.1 I'll try to learn how to convert the ares Screenpack for it...It won't be easy but there are how to instructions or maybe I'll ask somebody later but for now I'll keep my fingers crossed. I can wait a week.

  7. This thread is now resolved and i apologize for bumping it...dunno how to change the title of it sadly lol. The special intro is working...looks a bit messy with a few white dots but that's an easy fix lol...when your shifting or rotating sprites a few tiny dots are left behind and you don't notice them too well.

    Thanks! I've already asked for help here so far on a character partner intro and now i've got the sprites made...This is going to be my first time animating something. Just gotta get them coded into Gum and Cream. Let's hope the animation is smooth...it's not fully finished but it makes sense.

  9. Yes, this is possible in the same way that it is with special enemy intros.

    type = ChangeState
    trigger1 = partner,name = 'whatever'
    value = stateno_of_special_intro_state
    

    This would go in state 190 and that's pretty much all there is to it.

    Thanks! but does it need to be applied to BOTH characters? or just 1?

  10. Ok, I know we have special intros with opponents but can it be done with partners? I often wondered about that. I've never seen it happen in any mugen video I've ever seen or any character I've ever downloaded. But I have high hopes of it being possible. 

     

    My plans are to make a special intro of Gum and Cream the Rabbit by Gladiacloud where they start out by hugging each other because they're partners and friends and then they get up to fight their opponents. I can see Cream doing this but im not sure about Gum.

    Here's the animation it's 80% complete but i decided to stop there and try it right away.

     

    Conflict Resolved! Thanks to Sensei I got this special intro made! and it works!

  11. Heyo! I decided to join MFFA for 2 reasons.

    1. I wanna learn how to make and edit characters *I usually just add stuff and nothing more*

    2. I need reliable help. Mugen Guild IGNORES me, I understand it's a good community and all but I got lost on how to edit a partner heal code all it needed was an X coordinate and I wasn't sure how to add it in. 

     

    That's resolved now. I help others with what I know and It's quite a bit right now but not enough for developing a whole character yet. Im a nice guy and usually enjoy brainstorming creative idea's. I've been making and editing sprites lately and when I showed the few I made a while back I never got a response....in Mugen Guild.... :crywithno:
