  1. I knew this would have happened. This mistake of confusing people. The sprites were made by CvS The Abstract (CvS TA = CvSnb). CvSA (CvS Artist?) is the "clone"/"brother in mugen" of Chuchoryu, to put it in simple words. Super Dragon Blade. Is it difficult to remember the names? CvSTA = CvSnb Super Dragon Blade = CvS A CvS A != CvSnb CvS A != CvSTA
  2. There are some posts that I can't understand, like this one: Who ever was against you? Different? What the hell are you saying here? It never happened! You just wanted to make bad posts and people called you on them, GTAguy! And you replied back in a bad manner instead of accepting your mistake, so now you are the victim? Give me a break! Hate is a strong word. Blind-folded + offensive. Using common sense is being asshole-ish. Ok. Not to mention: that one guy that's banned from MFG for lying about their identity, attention whoring, ban evading supported him by saying MFG is evil and all that stuff. Tsk. Navana (now Devilotte). Adminbot saying Chuchoryu updates his stuff when he just changes hitsparks or sounds or sprites and adds another half-assed move without even caring about all the errors that were mentioned in previous releases. You can't call that an update, no sir. I've even told him how to fix a thing in all his characters (in a stupid way so that he could understand), you know, that "hold start -continuous taunt-" bug, C. said: "Yes, mi amigo, I fixing the bug for all chars mi amigo" or something like that... Never happened. The guys there saying: "They just jelly they can't make chars like him!" Sure, I'm jealous because I can't make a bad character. Oh my god. And why should I trust them anyway? They all brought the "hate" by themselves. They never want to improve. Case closed. I know it sounds ironic, but we should stop giving these "creators" (can you even call them like that?) attention.
  3. Or it could be like this: - the guy postes a release; everyone gives feedback; - the guy ignores everything and releases another beta; everyone gives feedback, but they start to wonder if the guy actually listens; - the guy ignores feedback and accepts "Nice char +1" posts; then he goes releasing another beta; there are a lot of errors like the other characters, so the people in "some mugen forums" tells him the best way to improve his coding ability; less people give feedback; ... - the guy has already released his tenth character in a month or two months (I might have exaggerated here, but you get the gist of it); everyone is upset and disappointed because the guy doesn't listen to feedback (or if he does he says: "Yes, mi amigo" and does nothing) and mostly/only listens to "Nice char +1" posts, so they say that; - some people are so angry that they offend the guy (and they get moderated); ... (meanwhile he registers to a forum where all comments are "nice char + 1") ... - the guy quits the forum because of a misunderstanding in the forum; since he can't speak proper English this was bound to happen sooner or later; but the post that he badly interpretated wasn't even flaming him; after a while the guy returns; - in the Spanish topic he says his topics were locked or deleted, which is a big lie, no one has ever done that to him; ... - the guy steals sprites without giving credit, and everyone tells him to credit the spriter of said sprites; this happened with two or three creations of his (so I could even copy paste this three times); after a lot of posts (and the drama) he seems to get it; good for him; ... - the guy wants to make an Asuka with this spriters' sprites; the spriter says: "No, don't use them! Wait until I'm finished!"; the guy says in his broken English: " Ok, I will wait"; so the guy promised to not work on Asuka; - everyone gets used (more or less) to this guy releasing half-assed betas with lots of errors, so they also refuse to comment on his character (he wanted it; also what use is talking to a wall?); ... - the last episode, the guy releases Asuka and other two/three betas; but wait: didn't I say he and the spriter made a deal about that Asuka? What happened? Boom! Drama and every post towards him for that matter, saying: "You shouldn't have done this" "On top of it all, the character is another f*cking beta!" and others I won't write; - in his forum the guy lies to everyone saying they hate him and said mean comments to him, when in reality they're telling him the truth; oh well, I guess truth hurts, huh? So why not covering it with lies in a forum I administrate? - the guy, since he doesn't understand English, reads the comments as: "I hate you!" "I hate you!" "I hate you!" "I hate you!", and doesn't even bother to understand what's going on in the topic; he later locked it; it means he saw there were a lot of comments but locked it because DRAMA. Replace "the guy" or "this guy" with "Chuchoryu" and you have his post history. Maybe it isn't in chronological order, but hey, that's what I remember of "the guy". That can't be true. And actually you listened to feedback at the time, maybe the users were harsher in that period. Now I bet there wouldn't be that much harshness as there was once.
  4. Sprites are still SNK sprites with a different palette; that doesn't make it CvS Pro. Anim 1 has no sprites. Also, I'm not sure he got data from the game to make this character and the two grooves*; he just took demongorne's edit of Warusaki's Dan (and I even helped him fixing the groove selection thing... more like I made it for him >:( ) and made the char. I'm not saying that using another character as a template is bad, but if he wants to call something in that style he should make it as accurate as possible. Or he/they (demongorne too) could have called it "Close-to-CvS-Pro" (but I guess it's difficult for them to think of this name). What's more, the Capcom and SNK grooves are actually the C and S grooves in Warusaki's Dan. So that's not accurate. I'm skeptical, I doubt he coded everything on his own. It plays too good to be coded from chuchoryu. I'm going to get hated for this comment, but I hope Jesuszilla makes a good CvS Pro char in the future.** * You don't need to tell me Orochi wasn't in CvS Pro. **You don't need to tell me Jesuszilla hasn't made a CvS Pro character, but I can tell you he can get data from both games and make accurate characters.
  5. If you take a sprite from a screenshot it has a palette; when you take a piece of sprite with VDP, at a first glance the palette looks the same: actually it's not. E.g. the grey of a sprite ripped from a screenshot is different from the grey of a piece of sprite ripped with VDP. So the only thing to do to solve this is to recolour the piece of sprite with the colours of the sprite you get from a screenshot.
  6. He has already resolved this, but anyway, since we're talking about how to rip certain things from this console, I'm putting this in here too. And no, Artmoney isn't needed. You only need patience and my tutorial. How to rip sprites from Sega Genesis: - Open the ROM with an emulator (obviously); the one I recommend for this ripping way is GensKMOD, available here: http://retrogamezone.co.uk/tutorialvideos.htm you can also follow the tutorials in there, but to rip accurately and perfectly follow me. ;) - When you want to rip something stop the game (with the Esc button on your keyboard); in this case I'm doing Jacky's throw: - usually you can rip sprites with screenshots (nothing wrong with that) but sometimes it becomes really difficult to get the sprites, like in this case; so now we go to the CPU menu, then Debug, Genesis, VDP - sprites: - when you click it, a window will appear: - do not dump the images with the dump button! Instead use the Print button on your keyboard (of course you'll have to paste it in an image editing program like Paint) and use the smaller image in the window (pixel perfect). The one in the left under the word "Priority", if it wasn't clear. Also remember that you're not going to get the sprite, but pieces of the sprite in that frame that you have to put together. Another thing to keep in mind: the pieces have a slightly different palette (they may look the same as your rips when you get them from screenshots but they're not). This is how I could rip these sprites:
  7. I forgot to add that you have to enable the NotHitBy you put as Null: [State 110, NotHitBy] type = NotHitBy ;it was Null before trigger1 = 1 value = SCA time = 1
  8. I agree. Maybe you could add envshake and make it faster; try also editing the afterimage to have his (Luffy) colours. And also, compared to other lvl1 supers, this move seems useless: I get that it's an almost-full-screen attack but it should deal more damage (maybe less than the other lvl3 move since, again, it's an almost-full-screen supermove). Also, the roll should have CLSNs, the nothitby code (which you already have but changed to null code) and the playerpush. In the roll anim add the CLSNs and in the roll state (110) add: [State 0, HitBy] type = HitBy trigger1 = 1 value = SCA,NT,ST,HT time = 1 So you can be thrown.
  9. I strive for accuracy most of the times (the feedback I give is in fact for accuracy). Let me answer the questions: 1- Usually I don't. When I do make something in an original style... 2- ... then yes, I mix various elements. 3- No. 4- I don't know how to code AI. :( I don't like either brutal AIs or almost non-existant ones. 5- 1.0; I still use FFU (Fighter Factory Ultimate) but I'm moving to FF3 (Fighter Factory 3).
