I forgot to mention this about the character after April 1st :P It was supposed to be an April Fools release in that the update wasn't just a close range "smashing board attack" In this update I'll list the new stuff now, though this is really late to share.... -New master sword (ALTTP Cover art master sword version) -Poe Fire Lantern -Hammer (updated w/falling rubble damage) -Hookshot replaced w/Ball & Chain attack from new zelda game -Freezing Ice jar -shield pegasus dash replaced w/Minish Cap roll & sword attack -Roks feather superjump replaced with Roks feather tornado sweep -plain arrows, ice arrows, fire arrows, & ice arrows replaced with Thunder Arrows New specials can be performed by pressing B,B, Punch or Kick OR F,F, Punch or Kick other specials by the usual B,DB,D,DF,F + Punch Or Kick OR F,DF,D,DB,B + Punch Or Kick And there is a new Hyper move Involving Link's Golden Armor. Update NEWS: Ok, I have a new look for Link (Zelda) that I wanna do. I didn't mention kingcharz? The only Links I've mentioned are yours (ours), my updated version, Cvs abstract & Cvs Artist version and this Link None of these are Kingcharz. EDIT: While on subject, I'ma send you a PM of something I noticed recently.

I could be wrong about this but I believe cvs artist commissioned cvs abstract to make those sprites for him and I think cvs artist did say he was making that character in a thread somewhere in mmv with cvs abstract as the artist. I was so shot down by its awesome quality that I even quit my Link temporarily until i was convinced to continue it. http://mugenguild.com/forum/topics/link-wip-145645.60.html In that thread you'll read that they definitely had a project going on as well as my decision. I'm no longer worried myself because I made him so different that now he has originality value like MvC Link by RMX, Silencer, Eikichi, & Mike Werewolf. I just hope that cvs abstract/artist version doesn't have your moveset though because his sprites are far superior than our Link's sprites. Just saying man, you should spice things up before CVS Link comes out.

I was thinking of doing a stage from kirby 64. I wanted to do a snowy mountain of icecream and snow with crystal rock shards. I need oen for a game I'm cooking up. I know you're a great stage maker Blizzard Buffalo. Perhaps you could do one for me if you have the time? I'm not really a Kirby expert at all and I don't know a much as you do. I may be making a Kirby character int he future though.

It's an april fools release done early because I'll be offline tomorrow. However I will admit it was inspired by all the talk weeks ago. My interest was sparked again and I got some new ideas after revisiting my old wip thread over at guild and mmv. Just for the record though I did this update because the whole CvS artist/abstact version that will be coming in the future will undoubtedly replace mine, as I've been saying for years, which is why i beefed this one up in hopes of pleasing the downloader enough to keep both this and cvs artist/absract versions. and just saying this to no one in particular...It's great to try originally new ideas never seen before because they're interesting imo ;) Anyway, i look forward to your next update anonymous creator because I bet you'll do something awesome in your update! XD

Someone recommended to me a long time ago that I give Link a smashing board attack based on a youtube "dorkly" episode where Link never got the sword. In the same thread I brought up how Link was difficult to use and I finally came to realize that the reason he was complicated in combat was because he had no close range attacks but rather only long range sword attacks. The original base had some close range attacks but they were not converted into the character, such as the kick. Recently i was watching about the Ulfberht and in this video I learned that shield fighting was used a lot, as much as the sword actually. The shield attack activates in Link when he is really close to his opponent.

Yeah, what volzzilla said. It's not the first time I brought this up to NJ either. I've encouraged him to make sprites himself and I even spent one on one time with him in private to show him what i do and guided him step by step to make something. Since then though he hasn't continued to sprite and instead left it to others to do. A little disappointing but I still encourage him to do more. When I started Link (Zelda) character, this new CvS Link was shown to me and I was seriously considering quitting my wip but then I decided, maybe if I tried doing different and more creative stuff that it be worth checking out. I never said the new CVS Link (Zelda) coming out was mine. That's someone else doing that wip. Also read the whole thing before jumping on the band wagon and see that my comment got completely taken out of context. Well anyway, I'm used to being banned. I guess it won't matter :P

What was wrong with my post? And ban! Ban for what?! I just gave feedback. I never rallied against someone's feedback on any of these threads to ban them for stuff they said to me. I don't get it? Others can tell me that I'm terrible but I can't tell others whether they are good or terrible? btw what does mmv have to do with this? You obviously missed the point entirely as well as NJ. I was just showing NJ that with nothing unique in his version that his character will get replaced. I did the same version before I posted the colorful one and it looked similar to this. I didn't like it either.

I used a different design based on chip 'n dales rescue rangers, ... I think? I know I saw it somewhere in some old cartoon like that. I remember it functioned better as a traditional leaf because it looked like a surf board in it's elongated and pointed shape. I was even thinking to have Link steer the leaf by having one hand on the stem, kinda like the green goblin or Aladdin on his magic carpet. Link has had many items and he has had different leaves. The leaf I made was non-canon but it i liked it because it was new and different. not everybody likes it i guess but i think it's unique and useful sometimes.

Whoa! No need to be upset, I simply don't like your work, it's nothing against you personally. Your anger is uncalled for. I appreciate that you tried and fixed stuff but I see nothing new worth downloading. I'm just saying to you what I've always have been saying to you and that is to take a chance, make some sprites yourself. You play it safe too much and you do nothing exciting. Your work is bland, it functions well but it's bland. I even spent an hour showing you how to do it yourself. I recently downloaded your character again and it's hardly that different from what that other coder did all ready before it was passed on to you. Also take a look at the Link that is going to replace yours. If it's going to play just like yours then I doubt they'll bother downloading yours. When I saw this I said to myself, I better do something interesting and exciting rather than the normal Link because no one is gonna bother with mine if it's gonna have the same attacks like that one. So I got creative and tried new ideas just so it could be desirable. Saturnfrost did another version so it has a chance but yours could easily be replaced one day. But anyway, that's just my critique. Take it or leave it, it's up to you.

But com'on, that's creativity right there, taking an old idea and making it new. Besides a bomb drop from a safe distance in fly mode works. As for the tri-force slash, it's too plain, it might as well be a regular combo. You can do better. btw you do know someone is all ready gonna do a better quality Link CvS style Link that is all ready gonna have all that stuff you worked so hard on to add to this one, right? The reason I went different and creative on new and old ideas was so the difference would be desirable for the downloader to keep both. The minute it comes out they're gonna delete yours

Look I had a problem with Brawl including Snake, he was way off of what I would expect from a game like this to be included in. Now you're telling me that a PSX character would be great in a Nintendo brawler?! I just can't feel it working for me. I am sure a lot of fans would love it and appreciate it but I can't see it fitting in as well as the others who were all equally bigger. I'm not even sure I fully accept Sonic in there :/ I mean Sega and Nintendo were long time rivals. I never thought it would be possible. Maybe I'm just being picky but with it starting out as an all nintendo cast, I just assume I'm getting a Nintendo war, not a console crossover. I suppose Master chief is gonna make an appearance now.... The final Smash from super smash bros for Link (Zelda), has to be the worst idea for a hyper, ever. Adding this idea to a character instead of doing something original and creative out of all the sweet stuff Link has - subtracts points in my book. I could get along with improvements and innovation but a downgrade to a lame combo move? What is that?! I expect more from others taking up my wips, not less. I want you to make it better than my wips, not less spectacular. Now I expected this of course when sharing and I don't mind that others do whatever they want with it but I think I'm allowed to give my opinion; that's just part of feedback.
