Well i was thinking sparks since he kinda scratches the ground there. It's typical sometimes to get sparks where you run something sharp across a surface, such as the ground or a wall; at least in movies. In the snes tournament fighter shredder had some weird attacks where he could make energy fields and punch with energy. For this movie version i want to ground him a little bit in reality, maybe not entirely since we are talking about the tmnt, but something at least possible int he movies world. Plus it would give the character some uniqueness in his moveset if it could behave as a special.

I didn't mean to come off as a jerk. Just thought it was obvious is all. My bad. lol Anyway, Chuchoryu suggested that his foot ninjas be integrated into this shredder as helpers. He is also redoing his turtles. So look forward to that feature if he decides to do this for me. I normally don't do helpers but Shredder does have these guys fight for him about 90% of the time so it would make sense I guess to have them constantly interfere in battle. If not then they'll probably be made as a bonus fight or something like that?

Quick as in relative to mugen.... MUGEN QUICK...that's like still pretty long. If it's unnatural looking then I can't argue that. I guess i'm just not that good. Well there will be other shredders to choose from and there are a few out there to. Maybe this Shredder isn't for you. Sorry.

I hope so, I really did a lot of stuff yesterday, if it wasn't for sleep, i could have done more. @Trinitronity, Shredder is made with the same effort as Link or any of my previous wips. I use the same techniques and methods to sprite/frankensprite. Any kind of spriting requires great effort to make, even if it's just a few frames or even a single sprite. I'm not sure what you mean by shredder not having any real effort? That head alone took around 2 hours to do, at least. I also had to make another one facing East. That was before I even started spriting since I spent even more time looking for references and colors. Ask any other spriter besides me and they'll tell you the same thing, even freehand scratch drawing takes time to get it right. If this is about me always taking shortcuts (or anyone else that chooses to) then you must understand that even when I take shortcuts, it still requires great effort work to have it all fit together, have it recolored, rotated, customized, shrunk or enlarged, fitted, etc. Shortcuts help but they don't take away all the work because it's practically using a base. It's barely different from using sprite rips. Also, Even palette swaps take effort to do and palettes aren't always easy either since you can mess them up or simply get it wrong. Palettes are rarely done right on the first try. You'll likely try it several times more for better results. I think it's unfair to say to anyone that they put in no effort, especially if they clearly did something time consuming. It's like saying a coder did nothing just because they didn't make their own sprites. Or refusing to acknowledge a stage maker as a creator because they did no character. If I put no effort into this shredder than my wip wouldn't be taking longer than an hour to complete and release. I'm sure I have at least a week in this all ready. If anything, this wip has tons of effort. I gotta respectfully disagree with you and I urge you to PM someone else about this because you are terribly misinformed about the process and time it takes to make a release or whatever else.

Not bad but did you add the Titantron and entrance to? You could squeeze it in there if you haven't all ready? Also add flash photography effects from the audience to.

Loving those screen shots! I used to be in a forum called MKP.net or something like that. The admin was Simpli and he had a game kinda like this, just a mix of everything in this style made into one MK game. There was another guy online named Indridcold, he also did these. Though I think yours looks the best and balanced to in regards to roster and stuff like that. Good luck and I hope to see even more!

I'll come back and continue with it and it will take a while to complete. The important thing is that there is progress and it's about half way done now. :)

I could release it now but what's the point for just a small fix, it won't make a big enough difference and who would bother downloading it again without something new? Better to wait for the final version, for now you at least got this one to hold you over. It'll come in time.

Zangief is just the head :P I will have him do more than green ranger and he'll have maybe double the amount of specials or more. He'll be standard sfII stuff. I'm not into grapple moves unless it's an instant grapple attack, as in the grab just turns into an attack at an instant like a punch or kick or weapon bash. Besides I'm sure I wouldn't even know how to code a grab properly... The base is pretty lax so I think this will fit shredder very well. In the movie the shredder was very disciplined when facing against the turtles. The only time he got sloppy was when he went up against the splinter after the whole thing about his face.

The way I look at it is, so what if they ruined shredder or whatever they do with these new reboots, etc. We still have the old one and no one can take that away from us. I see comments like this all over the internet on how they ruined the turtles and all that jazz, though it shouldn't affect anyone because we can always go back and watch the ones we grew up with and appreciate these. I like cartoon and movie shredder, they are both what I watch occasionally and enjoy and that's okay. Very informative! BTW I was just messing around with ya lol It's cool :P Though wouldn't the scientist put that label on there themselves? More like someone else would put the label on the box crates or whatever if I had to guess for shipping away? If there were any I mean? I don't know since I didn't read the comics. Though I'm guessing the scientist would do that themselves because for a canister to get mislabeled would really screw up an experiment's results!!! Then again though, they are probably the same guys that "safely" secured their stuff so no one would get exposed LOL

In the movie he throws a stainless steel knife! He also charges at his opponent with a double sided spear. This is gonna be pretty cool, I can't wait to play his completed form. In the sequel he exposes himself to some radioactive material that makes him grow huge. I might do this one for a win pose?!

The shredder has always had an impression on me since I was a kid seeing that movie. The first time we got a good look at him we all knew he was some serious business. His back-story is so classical and he's your favorite bad guy, right up there with Darth Vader. The only thing cooler than the turtles was this guy. The bases are kars(JoJo), Zangief, and a sprite by a guy named vitamin. I saw that but there wasn't much in the demo to work with. It would be possible though to frankensprite a sequel to make new characters and a new game. I had the idea to do a giant scorpion/lobster, a four armed elephant, and that sabertooth one they made. I wish they did more games of this series, it was pretty popular and fun back in the old days.
