I've been looking at how to convert low-res sprites into hi-res ones, and I came across a problem while editing Moriya's effects.
For example, on Geese's palette, the blue and yellow effect colors reside at the top, while the character palette resides at the bottom.
But when I try to replace one of Moriya's low-res sprites with a hi-res one, the new effect's palette uses an entire grid of its own, while the character colors (and the low-res effect palette) exist on another grid.
So, my question is how do I go about having Moriya's character palette exist on the same grid as the hi-res effect's like Geese?
I haven't been doing this for very long, so I wouldn't be surprised if I was missing something very basic/explained this poorly. I'm using GIMP to convert the effects and Fighter Factory 3 for the characters.
EDIT: I've figured out how to make the effect palette less, well, ugly, but the original problem still stands.
