How do i make winMUGEN plus fullscreen?

Before you say "wow, this question is pretty dumb" it is not, im seriously looking for help configuring MUGEN

 

im using winMUGEN Plus, now this version may have little to no discussion on these forums, but i've tried absolutely EVERYTHING, from changing the fullscreen option in mugen.cfg to 1, to trying out alt + enter, none of these worked!,

 

also, does anyone even have winMUGEN, the original and not the hacked version? if so, thanks!!

What OS are you trying to run this on? Winmugen should still go fullscreen when pressing Alt + enter.

 

Also, it's pointless if you're trying it out on a modern operating system, so chances are that there will be issues.

Final Edit: Forget about all of this, leave it unanswered, i learned that both winMUGEN and Plus are obsolete on modern systems beyond windows 8, i'll move on onto using 1.0, 1.1 or even ikemen GO?

I mean unless you have an older laptop or desktop, you can still use winmugen. I use it for my Windows XP / 7 laptop sometimes funny enough for nostalgic purposes.

are you sure? winmugen is literally 20+ years old or something like that, also sorry but i already uninstalled it so there's no way of me sharing files

first of all, since i've already uninstalled it, where can i download or get it again? (its not in the recycle bin)

 

second of all, if you say that its perfectly running without issues, then are you using something like DxWnd or dgVoodoo?

 

third of all, is there even a difference with winMUGEN and the hacked version?

I can assure you of that. I wanted to record it but I preferred to use my phone because if I used an internal screen recorder in Windows, when going to full screen it would have looked bad since the resolution of my Windows 10 is 1366x768 and the one used by WinMugen Plus is 640x480.

First I did it using Alt+Enter and the second time I set DXmode = Hardware to make WinMugen go to full screen on startup but it could also work with Software.

I don't know about DxWnd so I don't use it. Regarding dgVoodoo I think that is used to try to correct the aspect of the full screen in some games but I don't really have it either...

Eh... The difference between the original WinMugen and WinMugen Plus? I think it's in the resolution. The original WinMugen came in a resolution of 320x240 apart from having very few character slots. WinMugen Plus, on the other hand, came with a higher resolution of 640x480 and a huge amount of character slots. I highly doubt you'll find a download of the original WinMugen available, but due to its features it's better to stick with the WinMugen Plus hack, I'd say.

I have no idea why your WinMugen doesn't allow you to go full screen. I mean, even PCs that lack the graphics card driver and instead use the basic Windows display adapter can get WinMugen Plus to go full screen (albeit with inaccurate aspect ratio if your PC has a 16:9 resolution). Your problem is peculiar.
