DBScourge Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 My childhood must've been damaged cuz Idk who the hell darkwing is
Laharl Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 yeah if you don't know darkwing your childhood sucked lol. it was like the best cartoon back then and it still is pretty damn good and better than the crap on tv today, for the most part.
Ultiɱℯciɑ Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 He may be too young to remember it, Laharl. We were lucky to have such awesome Disney's toons and growing up in the '90s. Darkwing Duck's original run was around 91-92, he wasn't even born by the time
Ultiɱℯciɑ Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 He's 14, meaning he was born around 97
Laharl Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 oh that would explain it, cartoons sucked when he was a kid then lol. that sucks im glad i was born in the 1990s best stuff ever.
DBScourge Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I've never been a fan of Disney anyway & Didn't I tell the forum I'm 14 on many occasions? But,other than Ed,Edd, n Eddy & Courage the Cowardly Dog alot of the cartoons did indeed suck
Ultiɱℯciɑ Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 Uh... I think Ed, Edd 'n Eddy suck. Sorry, I can't help http://mugenfreeforall.com/public/style_emoticons//tongue.png But hey, I'm the one who don't likes Popeye and Looney Tunes, I'm an evil soulless person.
DBScourge Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Anything that keeps my attention is a good cartoon to me
Laharl Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 darkwing was one of those cartoons it was hilarious and serious at the same time you should look it up on youtube theres a bunch of episodes on there DBS you won't regret it
Ultiɱℯciɑ Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Darkwing Duck got lots of super-heroes and noir references, it got such nice concepts and all. Also it's one hilarious series Laharl, do you mind sending him the links to your Darkwing Duck's comics? I think if he read 1 or 2 issues he's going to be hooked by it
Laharl Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 sure but the comics take place AFTER the series is over so he might get confused about past story events. this is not just the show in comic form its like a second coming of darkwing duck just in a comic rather than cartoon.
Ultiɱℯciɑ Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Noir is a style, it started with noir movies. They are usually crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize cynical attitudes and sexual motivations. Hollywood's classic film noir period is generally regarded as extending from the early 1940s to the late 1950s and many of those moves were black-and-white and stuff. Do you know this cliche of detective/police stories with a mysterious murderer, a femme fatale and stuff? That's the basic premise. Some of the most recents noir films are Zodiac (2009), Shutter Island (2010), The Big Bang (2011) and Drive (2011). Even The Dark Knight (yup, the Batman movie) follows a noir-like structure.
tohnoshiki Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 ok i'll give you a perfect example cartoon style
