Black screen covers characters supers and makes some fx black, how do I fix it?

Certain characters supers I use make the screen go black, and some of their effects are black . . .

Special FX are black squares . . .

 

This happens for a lot of the chars in my mugen and it's annoying.

What version of MUGEN are you using? If it's 1.1, check the properties of the .exe and find the File version parameter under the Details tab. There's a slightly older version of 1.1b that has trouble displaying transparent effects; the latest one should be 1.1.0.650.

Bro your the GOAT!! Tysm, I had version 1.1.0.646 and just downloaded the latest version, and now I can see the FX
