Ganbare-Lucifer Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 *Let's get serious a bit (I can't write in my font due to me writting this on Mobile), I was playing Minecraft and suddently my whole PC froze up, I tried CTRL+Alt+Del, Alt+F4, but nothing had to work so I was forced to restart the PC. And now is totally zombified, I mean, I can turn it on and hear the fan inside, but the energy light is not showing (not even the beep heard), the BIOS not showing, and is now totally useless. I searched around and the answer was to open the entire PC and replace the RAM, and... the problem is I don't want to lose my files. Is there a way to make my PC work again without losing my files? In the shadows, I see you... -|☥|-
Laharl Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 your files are on your hard drive if the harddrive isn't fried you won't lose your files just replace the parts that are broken.
DarkWolf13 Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 This was how I lost my laptop... You need to remove that hard drive I think and get something that connects that hard drive to the new computer, then transfer. I believe the motherboard got fried.
Ganbare-Lucifer Posted May 16, 2016 Author Posted May 16, 2016 *Bad news, the motherboard is actually dead and is not the RAM... My files, I'm scared... In the shadows, I see you... -|☥|-
A person Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 As long as your hard drive isn't dead and your RAM is fine, you should be able to replace the motherboard, though that may cost you a pretty penny. Of course, you could also replace the entire computer and salvage what you can from the old one(specifically the hard drive and RAM), and if the new computer's motherboard has the room and the ability to support both the RAM and the hard drive of the old one, your files should be nice and secure. EDIT: Now that I think about it, you might not even need to salvage the RAM, just the hard drive itself.
Ganbare-Lucifer Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 *News, It's neither the mother board but the hard drives are still safer. What it could be then? In the shadows, I see you... -|☥|-
Ganbare-Lucifer Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 *I'm gonna buy a new Gear CPU that is the same of my dead CPU and transfer the RAM and Hard Drive, what do you think? It will gonna work? In the shadows, I see you... -|☥|-
Ganbare-Lucifer Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 *Forget what I said earlier, we're getting depth into the things, does it happend that the motherboard to be replaced needs to be the same characteristics of the previous one? If so, I will need to configure these to work propely with my RAM thing and HD files. In the shadows, I see you... -|☥|-
Ganbare-Lucifer Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 *Forget EVERYTHING I said before. I said 'screw everything' and sent it to a techic service. Hope this will be the last day I am sleeping all day. In the shadows, I see you... -|☥|-
Ganbare-Lucifer Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 *...and I really need to replace the mother board, plus a new power energy, I hope tomorrow will be the day I resurrect... ...if the fucking rain will allow me. In the shadows, I see you... -|☥|-
Ganbare-Lucifer Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 *News: Someone brought me a temporaly replacement PC for use, it's crappy but acceptable, can't use MUGEN until I get my fixed PC. In the shadows, I see you... -|☥|-
