Cool stage.

I got around to playing this game. It was pretty good. ...till I got to the special moves. The normal punch and kick maneuvers work fine, but special moves are broken and unresponsive. ...unless I'm doing something wrong.

Nah, you aren't. That's the main issue with a otherwise pretty good experience, that, and the lifebars aren't very well made.

 

I love this stage's music, too, thanks for the conversion.
