If something has been released in America dubbed, then that is something else. I'm talking about fresh new anime hot out of the office. INCOMING HUGE LIST New Season Bakuman Season 2 Follow Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi as they keep following their goal to make it into Shonen Jump! My opinion: Well, I never took the time to watch this show, but it looks good. I think it's a good concept and seems like it'll be a good laugh Give it a watch ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shakugan No Shana III (Final) Watch the thrilling conclusion of this tale of love, battle, and death! My opinion: I've watch both seasons, and I can say this show is GREAT! I can't wait to watch the ending of this series. First, watch the first two seasons and OVAs, and then get ready to watch how it all comes to an end. Will likely to be a hit ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Working'!! Welcome back to the family restaurant Wagnaria! Please enjoy some more entertaining moments among the out-of place staff! My opinion: I loved the first season, because it wasn't just the same damn thing as most other reality shows and it was majorly funny. I highly recommend this show to people who want a laugh After watching an episode: Loving it. It still has great comedy and realistic situations. I'm certain I'll enjoy this season as well now Likely to be a successful season ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shinryaku!? Ika Musume The adventures of Ika have just begun ~De Geso! Watch as she continues on her mission to take over the above world ~De Geso! My opinion: Considering that people just couldn't get enough of Ika when the first season was airing[and I can understand why], of course they'll have a second season. Looking forward to more laughs from the cutest squid you'll probably ever see After watching an episode: Ika doesn't let you down. She's still undergoing adventures and sticking her nose in human affairs. Watch it if you liked the first season Likely to be a successful season ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Anime Adaptions Fate/Zero See the story before the Fifth Holy Grail War and Emiya Shirou's tale... Learn and remember the name of the man that was called the Magus Killer and is the father of Shirou....Kiritsugu Emiya My opinion: I am so damned HYPED for this anime! Not for more Saber action, mind you. But for the fact that we get to watch the goddamn badass that is Kiritsugu beat some ass in full animation! Though, judging from trailers, they sure have fun with CG mixing into the animations. I kind of hope they don't abuse it, and just make something as eye-melting bad to look at as that dragon in the first Fate anime....Oh well, only one way to confirm. After watching a season: It's following the original story quite well so far. The characters are in place, and the effects are slipped in to mix with the artstyle. Nicely done, and may be the Nasuverse's first anime TV series done completely right. Will likely be a great series Trailer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mirai Nikki A war for godhood has begun, And Amano is stuck in the middle of it with two things, A phone that can tell the future....and Yuno Gasai. Now, he has to use his mind to the fullest if he wishes not to be killed in this battle... ....or killed by love My opinion: You have no idea how glad I am to hear that I can finally watch this in fluent motion. I loved the manga and its plot. As well as it's cast and situations. This will DEFINITELY be on my watch list. After watching an episode: Yuno looks more likely to rape him than kill him. 'Nuff said. Will be an interesting series to watch for horror, drama, or romance ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Persona 4: The Animation Life is truth, and never a dream... Murders deemed to be impossible to do have began appear not long after Yu Narukami moved into the rural city. People have suddenly began to abruptly go missing...only to be found later hanging by a telephone wire. Follow Yu's steps through this strange and dark mystery and enter the other realm.. My opinions: What the heck can I say? We have the character designers, soundtrack composer, and most of the damned cast of the original game working on this! This....is gonna be one hell of a treat for Persona fans. After watching an episode: holy shit, did they work on this! All of the story points are in place, and even a good amount of original game gimmicks appear. Nice and Loyal adaption to the show. This series is likely to be very successful Trailer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai Join the "Neighbors Club" and learn to how to build a relationship along with your imaginary friend! My Opinion: Okay, I admit it: I thought this was just plain weird first time watching the trailer. It seemed like something SHAFT would make. But hey, it's not generic really, so why not? After watching an episode: Story seems to be realistic enough. The main characters are lonely and want to make friends. The jokes are pretty good too. I'll be watching this one. This could be an interesting show to watch for romance and drama Trailer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Original Anime C³ (Cube x Cursed x Curious) Synopsis taken from Animelist: Yachi Haruaki is a high school boy and naturally resistant to curses. His father, Honatsu, sends him cursed instruments called "Worse" to try to break this. One day, Haruaki receives a black cube from Honatsu. During the night, he encounters a naked silver haired girl stealing rice crackers. She is the human-form of the black cube, an instrument of torture called "Fear in Cube". Haruaki and the girl 'Fear' fight together against other 'Worse' instruments and their owners using Fear's 32 mechanisms of torture. In short: ]Curse finders, unite! Or Inuyasha with almost no fillers and super short My opinion: Me, personally, I feel like this show is basically this mixed with this and most of the fights are kinda gonna be like this. But hey, looks interesting, and I need some anime, so who am I to complain? After watching an episode: Looks pretty promising. Fear is pretty lovable, and the main character seems to have his own personality, albeit a bit generic. This tsundere copy [has Rie Kugimiya as their voice, small, cute and rude] seems like she'll be enjoyable. Note: This one apparently uses her butt as fanservice. The camera just won't back off it. This might be an interesting series fantasy, romance, and ecchi Trailer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guilty Crown The right to use my friend as a weapon.... That is the sinful crown I shall adorn. Synopsis from Animelist: "The story takes place in Tokyo in 2039. After the outbreak of the unidentified virus "Lost Christmas" in 2029, Japan has been under the control of a multinational organization called GHQ. Ouma Shu is a 17 year old boy who has a psychic power in his right hand. He can use the power "Ability of King" to extract tools or weapons from his friends. He has been avoiding making trouble for others but his life changes when he meets a girl named Yuzuriha Inori, a member of a resistance guerrilla group called "Undertaker", whose members pilot mecha weapons to fight against the government." In other words: Lelouch with no mechas in sight. My opinion: "Ability of King", you say? But on a serious note, this show looks like it has some real potential. I suggest watching if you have an interest in powers like Lelouch had, only instead of doing batman gambits, he kicked ass a lot more often. Has potential of being a great series Trailer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kimi To Boku Synopsis taken from Anime list: The story revolves around four teens — the good-looking twins Yuuta and Yuuki Asaba, the effeminate Shun Matsuoka, and the class head Kaname Tsukahara — who have known each other since early childhood. While they are not necessarily good or bad friends, they continue to hang out well into high school. The half-Japanese transfer student Chizuru Tachibana joins the circle of friends in this comedy about the everyday life of adolescence. Lemme sum that up: It's like Lucky Star, only EVERYBODY'S A GUY My opinion: I'd only really look into it for laughs and feels as a bro. Nothing much interests me from the trailer though Might have some potential, will edit when first ep is out Trailer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mashiro-iro Symphony Synopsis taken from Animelist: One day, Shingo's school combines with a girls' school. As a specially selected student, Shingo temporarily joins the girls' school until they officially consolidate. He meets various unique girls there, but they all dislike male students. To improve their relationship, Shingo works hard, and... So to make it short: School combines both sexes. Ladies are NOT pleased. Guy is suicidal enough to actually try and improve the relationship and basically ends up as a pimp of sorts My opinion: We always need an all out harem every season. You know the drill, watch only if you want some ecchi or romance and drama. Seems to generic, but may be good yet Trailer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mobile Suit Gundam AGE Synopsis taken from Animelist: It has been a few hundred years since humans began to live on space colonies. In A.G. 101, an unknown enemy (UE) "GAFRAN" suddenly attacks one of the colonies "Angel". A long war against UE has begun. In A.G 108, seven year old Flit Asuno lost his mother when UE attacked his colony "Ovan". His mother left him a memory unit "AGE" which had stored data of an ancient mobile suit Gundam. In A.G. 114, Flit completes the Gundam AGE and counterattacks against GAFRANs. Well, what did you expect? It's a Gundam series... My opinion: One more series to put down in the Gundam books. Can't say the characters interest me, but I admit, the main character's outfit looks a lot like Megaman. Hell, some people already gave him the nickname "Megaman!" I'll watch it for a bit, but I'll probably bore of it soon later. May be a good series for mecha, action and sci-fi Trailer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Phi Brain: Kami No Puzzle Synopsis from Animelist: Daimon Kaito is a high school boy, who loves puzzles. One day, the president of the student council gives him a mobile device and it leads him to an underground ruin buried in the school. He challenges an "insolvable puzzle" hidden in the ruin with his girlfriend Nonoha, but the puzzle turns out to be the dangerous "The Puzzle of Sage" created by the black society "POG". He manages to solve the puzzle but it's the beginning of a puzzle battle against POG. Basically:Puzzle games on Indiana Jones Syndrome My opinion: I have to say, I'm kind of surprised someone came up with this kind of concept, but then again, I'm somehow not. Protagonist looks generic as all hell, but the plot sure seems independent. I'll look into it and give judgement later. Trailer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Un-Go Synopsis from Animelist: Based from Sakaguchi Ango’s novel “Meiji Kaika Ango Torimonocho”. Meiji-era story about a detective named Yuki Shinjuro, who solves various incidents that happen in his circle of friends. The adaptation will utilize an original story set in the near future, revolving around the detective and a boy named Inga, who continually encounter mysterious cases. so basically: Jimmy Kudo of the future takes on cases to help his friends. My opinion: It seems like it'll be one hell of show to watch when you're in the mood to think. Chances are it's not meant for more simple-headed people when watching something at all. Seems to have potential of being a great show.
