The Underworld group followed Magio and company into the portal, and what they saw was quite disturbing....... BGM: The King Of Fighters 2002 - Deserted Town (Cambodia Stage Theme) "Good god! This place is a hellhole!" "Well, what did you expect, Malin? This is the Underworld, after all!" "No need for that language......we must follow Magio and find Medusa." "We.......we better hurry, then......" "Magio's gonna need all the help he can get if we're gonna get rid of Medusa. If we keep our focus on the mission, there shouldn't be anything in our way." What they didn't know was that they were being watched......... ======================================== BGM: The King Of Fighters Music Pills : Fanatic Waltz (004's Remix) The group in Crisis City had finally caught up to Argento and company, though it was clear that not every member wanted to be near the guy...... "Okay, we're here........So what do we do now?" "I think we wait for Victoria to finish her conversation with that man in the Karate gi over there......." "While we wait, why don't you tell us what happened between you and Argento, Lapis?" Lapis was surprised that Mary would even bother to ask about the incident......nevertheless, she decided to tell the group, though they moved a bit from Argento so he couldn't overhear anything....... BGM: SDR2 OST: Re_ Despair Syndrome "Okay.......but I need to warn you......don't mention this to Argento or Magio......especially you, Fuyuhiko." "Fine! Fine!.......Go ahead....." "Okay...........I tried to reason with Argento earlier about trusting the rest of us. He wouldn't listen to reason, so I had to use force. Unfortunately, he retailiated against me............" FLASHBACK "I talked to Magio about the situation as well with Alice. He gave us some explanation for his behaviour........." FLASHBACK "It's been bugging me ever since.......and I've been trying to figure out what to do........" The group was stunned by the revelation told by Lapis. It was no surprise that Argento had hated everyone's guts from the get-go, but the fact that he actually attacked one of themwas what set them off............ "That bastard.........Argento's gonna pay!" "Who does that guy think he is?" "He'll get more than a simple beating once we're done with him!" It got to the point where everyone was so focused on beating up Argento, they only stopped once Lapis raised her voice.......... "NO! No one will deal with Argento until we finish off Iblis! Once we deal with the bigger threat, then we go after Argento and try to reason with him once more.........GOT IT?!" Peko, Fuyuhiko, and Mary understood, and they all agreed to deal with Argento later...........

The portion of the Deadpool Corps that arrived in the Distortion were soon greeted by Mary and the others...... "Oh good! It was starting to get boring waiting for you guys to show up! Glad you came, MK. We just gotta follow Argento and find Ibli---" Before Mary could finish her sentence, she and the others noticed the Distortion's appearance change drastically....... "Ah, crap! This looks worse than the static!" "What the.....? What's going on?" "I'm gonna take a shot in the goddamn dark and say that TV snow was an illusion........I mean, look at this place! It's like Armageddon around here!"

The groups took what they needed and split up accordingly........ ======================================== BGM: Undertale: The Ruins Remix The Distortion team followed Argento, and as soon as the team arrived........... "I still don't understand why we have to put up with Argento. I mean, sure, we're sill trying to help him, but still!" "..............." "You're still not talking to me, huh? Again, I'm sorry for the way I blew up on you......." "Fuyuhiko, I don't think Lapis wants to talk to you right now." Peko was right: Lapis didn't want to speak to Fuyuhiko or Argento due to their actions early on. If they were to get along, they'd need to get past those issues and focus on defeating Iblis. It looked like that'd be difficult to accomplish due to the dissension in the team...... "Pekoyama's right, you know. Let her focus on the mission like the rest of us and you stay out of her way, plain and simple." Lapis, Peko, Fuyuhiko, and Mary then looked at their surroundings as they waited for others to show up........ "This place is giving me the chills..............." "You're telling me. It's like someone painted this place with television snow and called it their masterpiece or some s**t." "Now we just wait for more guys to show up........." ======================================== Meanwhile, back outside the castle, the other group prepared to follow Magio into the Underworld, though they had to wait for his instruction....... The group had listened to the plan of splitting up to cover more ground. Needless to say, they each agreed on who would go where, though they had their reasons....... Lapis was still reeling from the revelation of Iblis' plans with the Underworld Army..... *sigh* "I need to go help get rid of Iblis. He may be trying to assimilate Homeworld, and I can't let that happen. We need to take the fight to him and his army!" Mary didn't want to be too bored and decided to tag along with Lapis, though there was another reason...... "You know, after that beatdown I gave to Neo, it'll be a refresher to take on a beast like Iblis......at least, I imagine that he's freakin' huge. Hey, Mirror Knight, you want to tag along? I might need some help and someone to talk to!" Yamazaki had his reasons not to pick a fight with Iblis, considering he was already a monster in the metaphorical sense, but mainly because he was interested in what Medusa would be capable of..... "Now........will the legends of this beast be true? Only time and killing will tell!........" As for the others that couldn't decide, Malin took the time to comprise a roster of the teams from the people that were in her group......... "Relax, Alice! Elias will be with you, me, and Yamazaki, so no need to be worried!" "Why set me and Fuyuhiko with Lapis and Mary, though? Lapis might still be md at Fuyuhiko over the mirror incident, and Mary's a bit..........unstable." "Yeah, Malin, you might want to do some rearranging." "Nice try, shorty......" "Gh!.........Why you!............."

"Wait, so those two are trying to take control of our worlds? That would mean......" Lapis realized what this meant for Homeworld and fell to her knees. Malin and the others had already overheard about the villain team's intentions earlier in the day..........however, Lapis never knew about them until now........ "No......you're lying! I won't let anything happen to Homeworld!"

Lapis flew back to the group and overheard the conversation between the Unlimited Force....... "Wait, who are Iblis and Thanatos?

Deathstroke felt every burning punch and couldn't do a thing about it since he was being controlled by Mary. Neo was getting her hands full with Victoria, and Mantenna, ZTAR, and Zagi were out of the fight. Their only option was to retreat, so Neo ran to the wheel of the airship and turned it around into a portal. Mary had to stop using her Command Magic and Deathstroke was unable to move following that beating he received.

Deathstroke had little time to react and barely managed to avoid the oncoming missiles, though he failed to avoid being sprayed with nitroglycerin. "Damn it! This isn't gonna end well for me if this keeps up!" Suddenly, Deathstroke felt as something was taking control of him, and he turned around to see Mary Hughes using her Command Magic to take control of him. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. You really should keep your mouth shut, Deathstroke. Command Magic, First Movement!" She then instructed him to move towards the Unlimited Force, forcing him to be an open target. "Boys, come at him!" @Captain Papyrus, your move!

The members of the Neo Corporation were all in a sour mood, considering that Lapis destroyed their airship. When Victoria decided to pick a fight with Neo, she was too exhausted to fight back and had to retreat. Deathstroke was especially mad at the fact that their plan had proved to be an utter disaster...... "Damn it! Can't anything go right for us?!" Lapis had overheard Deathstroke and flew up right next to him......... "I dunno. Maybe if you weren't so busy trying to kill us instead of, oh, I don't know, leaving us alone.............you'd probably be better off." "YOU! YOU DID THIS TO US! DIE!!!!" Deathstroke attempted to shoot at Lapis, but the water wings she had regenerated helped her fly away in time without consequence. "By the way, I'd turn around if I were you!" "Wait, what?!" The mercenary turned around, only be greeted by a barrage of missiles......... @Captain Papyrus, your move! --------------------------------------------------------- Mary took to jumping on platforms made of water that Lapis had set up and eventually reached the damaged airship. She found Neo trying to hide from the battle, but she wasn't having any of it........... BGM: KOF 2002 UM - Re:Bloody "Okay, you bastard! You and your buddies nearly got me and Mirror Knight killed, so put your dukes up and fight!" *sigh* "I was really hoping I'd catch a break......." "Tough s**t, Ice Cream Girl!" Mary beat down Neo and kept her from reaching her umbrella that she dropped after Lapis' attack. It got to the point where once she got bored of punching Neo, she practically threw her to the wolves, right in front of Victoria....... *Points at Neo and looks at Victoria* "Vicky, take care of her, won't you? I'm done beating this chick around!" @Agni Blackheart, your move!

"Hey, I would've done the same. No hard feelings! Oh, and in case I forget later........" Mary reached over and hugged Mirror Knight to show her appreciation of his actions earlier.

The last thing anyone expected was to be healed instantly by Anna's healing ability known as Radiant Roar, and there was much rejoice....... "Peko! You're okay!" "Fuyuhiko!" The first thing that Fuyuhiko did was give a big hug to Peko for saving his life. Needless to say, tears were involved... "Ghhh!........I'm sorry for what I did! I never meant to worry you!" "Peko.......I'm grateful for what you did! You saved my life today, and I can't thank you enough!" "You......you really mean that?" "Yeah!" Elias woke up as a result of the healing spell, and the first thing that Alice did was hug him with Yamazaki and Mary in view.......... "Father! You're alive!" "Yes, my child. It appears that the angel healed us all of our ailments......." "You done with the happy reunion crap? We gotta check on the others.....especially Mirror Knight!" "Yeah! I gotta thank him for saving me from that pillar!" What no one expected to happen next though, was the situation with Lapis........ "My gem! It's........it's being fixed by the healing spell!" *Hears Lapis from afar* "Lapis! I almost forgot about her!" Alice, Fuyuhiko, and Malin went over to where Lapis was, and witnessed a spectacle that was worth witnessing.......the healing of a cracked gem! As Lapis' gem repaired, wings made of water soon shot out from her gem........... Everyone soon took notice and was in awe by the sight. Lapis finally turned around to reveal that her glass eyes had disapperead and shifted to beautiful ocean blue eyes...... "Thank you all!" Lapis flew around the castle with her water wings, and everyone felt like they had done something beautiful and great.........

"Nobody's perfect......give me a f***ing break! Even robots should own up to mistakes that have disastrous consequences!" It became apparent that Fuyuhiko would not let go of what transpired. Even though he was grateful that Peko had saved his life, he still felt angry at YokuMan for not snapping out of his predicament soon enough. As soon as he turned around, he spotted something unusual on the ground where he saw some claw marks on the floor....... "What the?.......That's strange....those weren't here earlier......"

"Better make that three. Elias got hurt pretty bad by those explosives protecting Alice. Someone get Lapis some help, too! I think that battle zapped her energy."

The timing of the explosives going couldn't have come at a worse time for the heroes. Just as they were celebrating no less...... The first of the explosives blow up a wall near Fuyuhiko and Peko, causing debris to fall. And just when Fuyuhiko was about to be bombarded by concrete...... "What the hell?!" "Fuyuhiko! Look out!" Peko made the choice to push Fuyuhiko out of the way and take the full brunt of the debris....... "PEKO!" Fuyuhiko, through pure adrenaline, managed to move the rubble off of Peko, but it became clear once he cradled her in his arms that she was busted open everywhere, bleeding profusely from the concrete that fell on her...... "Fuyuhiko.........I......I had to do it........Your life was in danger........" Elias didn't fare much better either against the explosives. He took the full force of the blast, knocking him out and burning him significantly, protecting Alice in the process. Lapis also had to stop any more debris from falling onto the remainder of the group by creating a big barrier of water over the group. That and the battle from earlier, contributed to her collapsing once the debris stopped falling...... "That was too much for me to handle.......I need time to.......to regenerate my energy....." One more explosive went off near a pillar from inside the castle and nearly fell on Mary, but she was pushed out of the way by Mirror Knight at the last second, preventing her from taking full damage. Fuyuhiko carried the injured Peko and set her near the castle, which was now poison-free, and with all his anger, he went after YokuMan, who was responsible for removing the plasma explosives in the first place..... "YOU BASTARD! YOU COULDN'T HAVE SPARED ONE EXTRA F**KING MINUTE TO STOP THOSE EXPLOSIVES FROM GOING OFF?!" @OxyontheWolf and @Captain Papyrus, you guys are up!

With ZTAR out of the way, Lapis could finally target the airship. The water clones dissolved and went back towards Lapis, who with her hydrokinesis, formed the H2O into a giant hand of water..... "You people try to come here and kill my friends! You will all pay the consequences for your actions!" The hand then shot up towards the airship, balling itself into a fist in mid-air. As the Neo Corporation witnessed what possibly could be the death of them, Deathstroke could only mutter...... "I knew I should have bought that warranty....." The front of the airship was completely destroyed by the water fist, sending the Neo Corporation flying back. The group could do nothing, but stare in shock over Lapis' power.
