The mecha maid proceeded to project a hologram of what it saw during the battle with the creature.

"I have the same question. While I don't plan on actively seeking these things out, it would be better if we knew the best way to deal with them should we get caught having to fight another of them."

Flare took a gander at outside the building, noticing the guards setting up outside. He simply lets out a sigh.

 

"Why are you making it look like I'm harboring the monster here?"

 

"That monster is taken cared of, as far as we know. We were wondering if more of those things have shown up elsewhere. I believe that monster was just the beginning."

The mecha maids that have come out to investigate begin to approach the group.

 

"No casualties and minimum damage. Not bad."

 

Though the words came from one of the mecha maids, the voice itself was Flare's who was using them to communicate with them.

 

"Well, whatever that was may be gone now, but it will probably have friends coming by to avenge it. Royal guards will want to know the details, so please let them know what you found out fighting that thing."

"If something out of that thing survived, it will likely have retreated. Unless that goo springs back to life there's no point in worrying too much."

 

"Although I must admit, I feel that thing was sent to test the waters so to speak."

 

Lilith then noticed the presence of Sasuke and Flandre.

 

"Oh, I didn't realize we had others that got dragged into this."

Lilith began maneuver around to the creature's back hoping the rest of the group kept it distracted to do so. Once she did, she would attempt to strike the creature where the axe wound was.

Lilith began to stop focusing. Too many allies near the creature and it being able to absorb energy meant she likely would do more harm than good by attacking with her projectiles. The creature being hindered at the moment meant cutting off it's escape path was unnecessary right now. The thought of unhooking the axe to make the creature bleed further crossed her mind but given its chains are what's restricting it she kept that thought to herself.

 

Lilith moved toward the creature's right side. With it being attacked from its front and back, she was hoping there would be an opening for a quick strike.

Lilith continued to focus her ki energy as she began to summon her orbs ready to fire at them. She waited to confirm the hit before she made her next move.

With the creature seemingly restrained, Lilith began to focus her chi for another attack.

 

"Strike it down, Light. I'll follow up!"

 

"It wasn't what I expected, but it definitely gave me a plan."

Lilith began to move closer as she produced orbs and kept firing them around the creature trying to make it risky for it to move without risking getting hit by them.

Lilith had an idea of what Lucent wanted her to do and she could feel that her next attack would not miss thanks to the buff she received. However, there was something that was bothering her.

 

"Hey! That thing is reacting to our moves way too perfectly, something's up."

 

Lilith summoned orbs around her as she aimed toward the beast

 

"Stay away from it for a moment!"

 

She fired her orbs not at the beast itself but at the area near it. She was looking to see what kind of reaction the beast would do.

With the projectiles being absorbed into the hole in the claw, Lilith dispelled her own orbs.

 

("Ok, so energy attacks are completely useless against it and I'm getting the feeling it actually benefits from them.)"

 

Back at the Hangout's lobby.

 

"All right, settle down everyone."

 

Darkflare had just arrived at the lobby after all the noise that had been happening both in the lobby itself and outside.

 

"I'm aware some of you are just itching to find out how well you're doing against something. With that said, there are several things we need to establish first."

 

"First of all, we have no idea what's outside. Obviously something dangerous is out there, but we haven't received information about what exactly is it."

 

"I'm working on sending some scouts out to notify us about what's happening. Until then, going outside is risky."

 

"And because some of you don't care and want to jump at the opportunity at a powerful foe, let me give you a few things to consider. This facility has several security systems in place, the majority of the staff here has combat experience and I'm certain some of you won't hesitate to help defend this place. In other words, this place is pretty safe and if anything hostile dares to step inside, I would greatly appreciate having extra hands on deck to turn whatever it is into nothing more than a smear for daring to put anyone in danger."

 

"In contrast, if you choose to head outside, you do so at your own risk. I will not be responsible for anything that happens to you outside and I will not be offering any rewards for eliminating anything outside. If you must think twice about this, then you weren't prepared to begin with."

 

Flare proceeded to approach one of the mecha maids.

 

"Hisui, I'll need you to be our scout, bring one or two of your sisters with you."

 

"Understood Flare-sama. However, I must notify you that Light-san's group headed outside."

 

"Damn Light rushing into things without thinking. All right, head out and help him and his team if necessary."

 

"Orders acknowledged."

 

The mecha maid bowed before calling two of her sisters with her and proceeded to head out. Flare took out what seemed to be a roll of paper before unrolling it revealing it to be a screen of sort, as he began to tap commands into it."

 

"Establishing visual link, Hisui. I should be able to see everything you see."

 

"R-right..."

 

Lilith runs out as well noticing what's going on. She grabs Melina to stop her for a moment.

 

"Hang on Melina, we don't know exactly what that is capable of although it seems it favors close range attacks. Stick to hit and run tactics for now and aim for the joints in its legs, I'll work with the others to try and keep its attention off of you."

 

She proceeded to prepare her energy orbs as she waited for an opening to fire at.

Lilith joined up with the others in the lobby shortly after. She looked around as the lobby began to get filled with various others who were also wondering what the commotion outside was.

 

("Some of these guys look like they're getting ready to fight whatever it is that's outside.")

 

Meanwhile, Anna and several of the mecha maids were trying to keep the situation under control.

 

"I know you're all wondering what the heck is going on out there but I need you all to keep the lobby clear!"

 

"Everyone, I need you all to remain calm and remain in an orderly fashion. We will keep you updated on the situation as soon as information is available."

Lilith began to remember the guards they've met before arriving to the hideout.

 

"Ah....now I understand. Remember those guards we met before? Seems that this feeling is believing whatever happened there was just the beginning."

Lilith had gotten up to the third floor. Noting the infirmary, she headed there to check herself up and get healed. With that done, she then headed to the cafeteria figuring that where she would find the others. Upon finding them, she began to approach them before noticing the worried look some of them had.

 

"You guys all right? Looks like the drill was more tiring than we thought."

He turned off his sharingan, having used it to read information on the phone he'd been given. The incident at Kalos City, this world's status as a 'link world' and what that entailed, hoping for some sort of clue to leaving this world. Gordeau hadn't heard of anyone being able to enter but not leave, and his searching on the internet yielded nothing either...

 

"Thanks for the help," Sasuke said to the Warrior's Hangout aide who's phone he had, returning it to her.

 

"Oh...sure no problem."

 

Anna took her phone back checking to make sure everything was fine with it before taking it back.
