(No good. He has the lead and I'm out of time. No choice but to wing it.)

 

Hyde breaks into a run toward Lightflare before suddenly picking up speed and attempting to strike him.

 

"PALE BRINGER"

LightFlare stamps the ground as his arms become surrounded by lightning. He motions for Hyde to advance...

 

It's come down to this! No more holding back! 2min 40sec! Who will be the victor!

(Man, this guy clearly lives for this. I bet the old man would love to take a shot at him. But I gotta put him down now)

 

Holding his sword in a reverse grip, Hyde proceeds to stab the ground creating an energy wave that appears in front of Lightflare.

Hyde was launched into the air from the attack.

(NOT YET!)

 

He manages to right himself and land on his feet, planting his sword to support himself. Once he confirmed, his two feet were on the ground, Hyde focused power on himself.

 

(Only got one chance at this...)

"VEIL OFF!"

 

Hyde generated a brief burst of force that would push Lightflare back if he didn't brace himself. Regardless, Hyde would be surrounded by a notable aura on him.

 

"Sorry to spoil your fun. I dare you to try that one more time."

If you're that short on money, don't you think you should get an actual job instead of relying on donations, adfly links and scamming people with half baked jobs?

As soon as Hyde landed he quickly remained low to avoid the kick.

(Yikes, that was close)

 

With no hesitation, Hyde quickly turned around with a leaping vertical slash that would launch Lightflare into the air if it hit. If successful, Hyde would follow up with two more slashes, the last hit knocking him down.

"GOT YOU!"

 

Hyde had anticipated that Light would dodge his projectile. Using it as a distraction, he leaped over it coming down with an overhead slash. If nothing else, this would help close the distance between the two.

Seeing as Light didn't make any moves, Hyde took this opportunity to grab his sword and face him.

 

"Going easy on me suddenly? Guess I'll have to make sure you regret that decision."

(All right, let's try this again.)

 

"BLACK ORBITER"

(Hyde once agains fires his projectile toward Lightflare)

 

"You both have a valid point."

 

Lilith kept looking at the screen as the match continued

 

"Using this dark power is indeed dangerous and rather unnecessary in this case, but if he did hold back, it could be considered as a sign of disrespect as if "You're not worth my best". We'll have to put our faith on both Hyde and this hero to both come out in one piece."

"As I thought, he can wield that dark power. For a moment, I thought I was imagining things when I sensed it..."

 

She looked at the others noting their worried expressions.

 

"He's tapping into a power called the Dark hadou. It's a dangerous power that can make someone go mad if they're unable to control it."

 

She turned back to the screen

 

"I'm getting the feeling this may not be the first time our hero here has tapped into this dark power. Perhaps he has the willpower to control it and keep himself in check."

She turned toward the screen looking at the fight again.

 

"You're the type that hates mindless violence, right? I understand...in truth we could always have more people with that mentality. However, don't see it as just mindless violence. It's hard to explain without experiencing it first hand. They say that when two strong fighters clash, the way they move and attack is also the way they speak with each other."

"It's useful enough to throw off any pursuers. But aren't you on a trip? Seems strange you would change your look when you're supposed to be on vacation and honestly, I don't believe the people of this world would be put off with how you look."

"I do. You can see it in their movements. Hyde's movements are aggressive focusing on offense. His plan was to apply pressure to his opponent and force them to make a mistake. He's thinking on the fly and while that's not a bad thing, it doesn't seem like he knows an alternative approach. As for his opponent, his movements are calm and refined. It's clear that he had years of experience. It won't be easy to put him in a spot where he will have trouble."

 

She turned to look at Lucent becoming surprised at the different appearance.

 

"The aura is the same, but the look is drastically different. Are you even the same person?"

"Not bad."

 

Lilith was impressed by the move Hyde had just pulled, managing to catch the "hero" off guard.

 

"Unfortunately, it seems the kid has shown his full hand. If that's the case then this match is decided."

LightFlare lowers his center of gravity and grunts as he stomps the ground. A redish, purple aura momentarily imminates from his back but disappears quickly. He lifts one knee up as he moves across the arena towards Hyde. He movement suggests that he is not actually ruining...but is actually gliding.

No stranger to dark abilities, Lilith finds herself surprised to see Lightflare capable of such abilities as well.
