...Aaaand he just rises from the ground. Wow. First...I'm definitely using the wrong fighting style. Secondly...that's amazing. I take it you see what he sees? I'd prolly use that to do something silly like train in multiple disciplines at once or eat at all of my favorite restaurants at once. Hahaha!
Anyway...let's get going.
LightFlare leads the others back to where they left Melina and the rest of their party.
"If the clone pops, the original will receive its memories," Sasuke's clone said.
He followed the others back to where everyone was waiting.

Sasuke's shadow clone arose out of the ground, bag in hand. He quickly handed the bag to the original Sasuke before disappearing in a puff of smoke.
"The crook had some accomplices," Sasuke said as he took in the memories from the shadow clone.

As soon as the clone grabbed the bag, he would be in for a surprise as a group of 5 thugs soon ran out from the shadows of the alleyway.
Thug 1: You fucked up, punk!
Thug 2: Break his legs!
Thug 3: You're gonna be the message to the big guys! You'd better be proud!
The men charged the clone with bats and clubs and attempted to attack him with their weapons, each one swinging at his body and limbs in an attempt to knock him over, clearly unaware that it was just a clone they were attacking. The guards, clearly unaware of their presence, started calling for backup to the scene. Things were getting hectic quickly as more thugs joined in and charged at the guards. It was evident that this was a setup all along.Sasuke's clone wondered what was with these guys. They all seemed like normal people, except for the fact they were out to get him for whatever reason.
Since they were coming from all directions, it'd be difficult to dodge any side... except downward. He thanked Kakashi for his next trick, as with a single handsign, he disappeared into the ground. The Earth-style Hiding Like a Mole technique had once been used by Kakashi against him.
'Dealing with them wouldn't be hard, but that man from before still needs his bag, so I better get going.'

Crook: Fucker!
Due to the clone being in his path, the crook had no choice but to face the music, it seemed. He slid to a halt in front of the clone. Quickly, the two guards converged upon him, their stun rods at the ready. Seeing that he was likely at the end of the road here, the crook held up the bag.
Crook: If you want this piece of shit, then you can have it!
He proceeded to chuck the bag behind the clone, and soon, the mech guards converged upon the crook with their stun rods, the crackling electricity from their weapons and his cries of pain being tell tale signs that he was now being subjected to thousands of volts. The bag landed a few feet behind the clone, close to a what was very obviously a highly-trafficked alleyway.Sasuke's clone sighed, he turned toward the bag and, making sure no one else would take it, picked up the bag. Now all he had to do was return the bag to its owner.

Crook: Who the hell are you?! You don't even look like a guard, why the fuck are you after me?!
As he ran, he proceeded to knock over another dumpster before dashing towards a main street, the guards still in hot pursuit. One of them looked at the clone, seemingly unaware that it was even a clone.
Mech Guard 2: You are allowed to utilize force if you wish to aid us; your actions will be considered a citizens arrest and will not be punished under the law.
The two mech guards seemed to have finished preparing their stun rods and were ready to aim at the crook should the clone keep out of the way.
'Allowed to utilize force, huh?'
Sasuke's clone considered the dumpster, those things looked to be fairly heavy. Sasuke leapt further forward, landing a few feet in front of the crook.

The guards already appeared to be on the case, two of them having already engaged the noble in a discussion. The crook, meanwhile, was rather fast; though Sasuke's clone was able to keep up with him, a man that looked as though he belonged in the poorer parts of the city, judging from his rather dirty clothing, he moved very quickly through the winding streets of Candor City, and seemed to have a very clear destination in mind. The clone was not alone, either: two of the mechanical guards were currently in hot pursuit as well, both wielding stunning rods as they attempted to close the gap between themselves and him. Sasuke had definitely picked the right guy: the crook was holding a bag with a broken strap, one that was made of real leather and seemed to still be filled with the noble's personal objects, so much so that the papers that were also in it were beginning to fall out in the commotion.
Back at the gift shop, the guards were busy gathering information from the noble:
Guard 1: What was in the bag?
Noble: My phone, my money, my wallet, my receipts, everything I need for traveling!
Guard 1: Do you remember what he looked like?
Noble: You already have people pursuing him! Why is that important?!
Guard 2: Sir, it's just the process.
The noble was clearly displeased with this. He proceeded to describe the man: clothed in dirty rages, much worse off than most of the people in Candor, hair clumped with dirt and grime. It seemed like he was going to be there for a while while the pursuit went on.
At the pursuit:
Crook: You're not catching my ass alive, punks!
The crook proceeded to knock down anything he could to slow down the guards, but they seemed to be either very smart or programmed very well as they simply leapt over knocked down boxes, barrels, cardboard cutouts, and even dumpsters if there happened to be any.
Mech Guard 1: You can either drop the bag and leave unharmed, or feel the effects of these shock rods. The choice is yours.
Crook: You're going to have to kill me, scrap metal!
Mech Guard 1: Duly noted.
The mechanical guards seemed to be tampering with their stun rods for a moment, but the two would soon point the rods at the crook as he attempted to vault over a car, which the two followed him over.
Sasuke's clone pursued the crook, wanting to get to the bottom of this.
"What's in that bag that's so important?" the clone asked.
On 6/22/2020 at 8:52 PM, LightFlare_Da_Realest said:"He'll be fine, I'd be more worried about the crook."

As the group was busy browsing the gift shop, some shouting could be heard just outside of it, as if a scuffle had just broken out among the nobility present.
Noble: Fiend! Get your filthy hands off of me!
Something could be heard getting snatched, and then snapping, followed by the sounds of footsteps rushing away from the scene.Noble: Guards! GUARDS! Stop that man!
'That sounded like trouble...' Raina thought to herself as she followed Lilith outside, hearing the commotion that had occurred.
Sasuke heard the commotion that had occurred. He summoned a shadow clone to follow the crook while he walked over to the noble and asked him if he was alright.

That's right. We still don't know why you ended up here, Raina. And the fact that both of you vaguely remember working together but don't remember who you worked for is just as strange if not more so. In fact, we still haven't solved Penny's case either.
Yet, I also get the feeling this is somehow connected to the creature we fought earlier. Do either of you remember Flandre?
"I feel like I should, like my brain is telling me I know her, but I don't remember anything."
"No, I've got nothing."

"Now that you mention, I-"
Raina's thoughts stopped, a memory that came unannounced. She had met Sasuke before, that's what her memory said, right? So why was it only now that she remembered?
"The two of you will be working together for this mission," ▅▅▅▅▅ stated. Raina looked to her left and saw Sasuke - except his attire was different and he looked much younger. Raina's attempts to focus on the one talking to her and Sasuke resulted in a fruitless headache as ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅.
"Are you sure this is necessary?" Sasuke asked, his attitude more flippant than he was in the present.
"I wouldn't be putting you together if I didn't believe a two-man operation was necessary. You're both excellent fighters with team experience, you can make it work."
"I met Sasuke before we went on a mission together. There was someone who sent us to do something - I can't remember anything about the mission though..." Raina said. The shrinemaiden's hand moved toward her face, trying to jog her memory, but to no avail. Raina recalled her theory that whatever - or whoever - had sent her to this world had done something to her memories. She had a feeling that that man from the memory was connected somehow.
"Hmmph," Sasuke interjected, "that's sounds right, somehow. We've met before, and we worked well together against that thing. I suppose we did meet before and forget."

The group would soon find themselves entering into the main stretch of Candor City, where the city's mix of medieval and modern soon became quite obvious. It was almost as if the city had been split by its distinct styles, with the city's center, being where the massive castle was located, having consisted of the medieval townhouses and buildings that also seemed to house more of the wealthy folk and much more expensive shops and restaurants as opposed to the more modern parts of the city, where the conditions of the streets were very good and the street corners had a guard at each one. In fact, all around the center, there was at least one guard at each part of the circle around the medieval section where all of the city's roads eventually led to, all converging into 4 large roads that seemed to lead over a moat that was equally as large as the castle itself. It might as well have been a lake. However, the bridges into the castle were currently up, so there did not appear to be any normal way to get to it at the moment. There were guards stationed at every side, so one couldn't force their way in as well. The area around them did have some interesting buildings, however, such as a large cathedral in just on the other side of the medieval circle, and a structure that looked to be a tower with a series of spinning brass globes hovering above it with no visible method of locomotion. They seemed to be orbiting a ring-shaped structure, though it was unknown what exactly they were depicting. The population when getting closer to the medieval circle also seemed to be much larger as the sidewalks were filled with people of a host of different races, though it was clear that they were all from this world most likely. The businesses along the medieval circle seemed to have signs showing what they were: on the modern side, it was lined with several restaurants and bars with outdoor setups and fences to keep people from directly walking onto the road, with the occasional clothing store and even a thrift store. There was also a toy store with a very colorful, whimsical building that looked as though it was made out of balloons tied together, though it was evident that it was likely just an outer shell of some kind as the windows on the facade of the building hinted at it still being a normal stone building on the inside. At the circle's edge, people seemed to be enjoying themselves, most of them looking like they were within the middle or higher classes of the city with clean appearances, while the inner part of the circle seemed to hold the floating cars and the wealthy, who seemed to prefer more archaic appearances over the much more comfortable modern ones. There did not appear to be any robots among the wealthy, but there were several of them among the normal citizens. They seemed to be living normal lives, similar to the humans, but did not have a need to wear clothing; instead, some of them made themselves stand out by having their bodies made of different parts that, though they still had a humanoid appearance, made them look more like war machines.
Penelope followed behind the group, taking in the sights and sounds of the city in awe. She hadn't seen anything like this before; maybe the edges of the city, but certainly not the center! The robots living among people, the host of different races, especially the ones with animal ears, ahhh, it made her want to squeal in joy! But that would make her look really weird, she thought, so she didn't do it. She spotted the toy store as well, letting out a slight gasp at its appearance. It looked so cool! Man, if only she actually lived here, it would've probably been a really nice experience! And the flying cars, oh maaaan, this place was incredible!Penelope: Aaaaah, look at thiiiis! It's like a big ol' treasure trove of stuff! I wish I'd lived here!
"This is all so cool!" Flandre yelled - the medieval aesthetic of Candor's old town was much different from the Scarlet Devil Mansion or the Human Village that she'd seen that one time, to say nothing of the modern architecture of the city. The people with animal ears weren't so interesting - she'd seen plenty of that in Gensokyo. Reisen and Mamizou had both come to the Scarlet Devil Mansion for one reason or another, but Penny thought they were cool!
Raina on the other hand hadn't quite so easily forgotten about what happened earlier. The sights of Candor were a nice sight, yes, but there'd been that monster who had literally appeared out of nowhere in front of the Warrior's Hangout - the guards had mentioned that there had been multiple attacks. If it happened again, could they beat that one? Could they get the civilians out of the way?
6 hours ago, Darkflare said:"After seeing the look of the guards, I guess we shouldn't be surprised the entire city isn't just an old fashioned look."
"On another note, you guys seem to have gotten over the monster attack from earlier. I'm still a bit shaken up by it."
"I can't speak for the others, but it's got me worried too," Raina replied, "we beat the last one, yes, but if another shows up, it'd be trouble."

LightFlare and Melina walk past the guards into the streets of Candor. With many marvellous sights, attractions and even potential dangers, they hope to enjoy their time in the new city. As they walk they would take notice to all their surroundings potentially interacting with the locals and any places of interest on their way to the castle.
"This'll be the perfect time to relax," Raina said. After all the trouble the group had faced... hopefully things would look up.
"All right! This'll be great," Flandre added, staying close to Penny.
Sasuke meanwhile just followed behind, making sure the blonde vampire stayed out of trouble. Like it or not, he was pretty sure he'd met the vampire before. Maybe he'd realize something on this journey...

"This'll be really fun! I wonder if we'll meet the queen? Maybe we can get their guards to laugh a little!"
"Settle down Flandre, they're probably not gonna let us meet the queen," Raina replied. Truthfully, she was worried that they'd encounter another one of those portal creatures during the outing, or perhaps some random group of hooligans would attack them like on the airship...
"I'll come along," Sasuke replied to Lightflare. There was that gut feeling again - that he knew Raina and Flandre. Maybe he'd figure something out?

"This city is somewhat old fashioned so there's a certain charm to it if you're used to more modern things. The castle in the center of the city is a popular place to sightsee even though you won't be able to actually go inside. Other than that, it's still a very big city, so it should be easy to find something to do."
"Oh, but try to avoid the north west. I'm afraid there's nothing there but slums. The royals have been trying to improve conditions there but there seems to be all sorts of problems preventing them from doing so."
"The castle sounds pretty fun!"
"I guess that castle would be nice to see."
'Avoid the northwest? That's the direction I came from to get here. That lines up with what I've heard about the unrest... are the Knights having trouble, or are they causing just as much trouble as they're fixing?'

Looks like we're going out then. Let's have a bit of fun. I could use a bit of down time, myself. Lucent, you guys coming right?
Sure. We could...
Lucent suddenly receives a call. His face changes from joy to horror.
I'm sorry. We will have to postpone our outing. It seems that the creatures have begun invading our home world as well. We need to return home.
What?! The hell?! We gotta go, now!
Umbra, can you get us there soon?
My pleasure...
Umbra concentrates as he opens a large portal. Through it was Lucent, Anwalt and Umbra's home world. The portal was inside the lobby of the hideout, out of site of the guards outside.
Let's hope this big portal goes unnoticed by the guards. I'm sure they'll be suspicious of ANY large gaping holes to other worlds right now.
Well...this is where we part ways. It's been fun. I hope we can catch up again sometime. Once we've disposed of the threat in our home world, maybe we can return here and pick up where we left off.
I suspect you want to handle this yourselves?
Yes...
Sorry, "Hero". You're gonna have to sit this one out. But don't worry, I have a feeling you'll be needed here soon enough. Those guards look tough, but they ain't tough like you and I. Plus I need you to look out for Melina till I get back.
I can look out for myself, thank you. You just come back in one piece. You still owe me a date, knucklehead.
Sure thing...see ya soon.
Anwalt slowly walks to Melina. He smirks as he kisses her on the cheek.
Just...just...come back safe, knucklehead.
If you guys are done making out, I'd like to get back home before...you know...IT'S TOO LATE!
Shove it, Umbra...
Haha... we won't hold you up. Be safe. Till me meet again. Thanks for everything.
LightFlare shakes their hands and wishes them well. Melina waves as the three stand in front of the portal taking another minute to say goodbye to the others they became friends with on their journey...
"Good luck you guys," Raina said with a smile.

Actually I think you're on the right track. I use portals myself. I can make them appear anywhere I want. Once I've made them appear in a particular place, I can make them reappear in the same spot. I can even do this from miles away. I can even travel to different worlds. I just have to visit them at least once. The reason is every place has it's own..."signature". Once you know that, you can return there whenever you want. Well...at least that's how I do it.
I have to admit...it's a petty cool ability. That also explains why you didn't just warp to Candor...or Kalos even.
Correct...
"If the monsters are all connected, then that makes sense. But then, who or what let them be able to teleport here in the first place?"

Detective Abraxas: Yes, there are many more of those creatures. Intuition suggests that they are most likely from another world, though what that world may be is unknown to me. As far as how many there are...well...they may be as infinite as whatever universe they reside in. Our branch has battled at least four types of them already. While I am on the subject...would you be willing to describe its appearance to me? Knowing as much as I can possibly figure could help in determining a way to halt their entry into our world.

As soon as the group made their way into the hangout, Penelope was there to greet them. She immediately ran over to them, clearly very worried about them.
Penelope: Omigosh, what the heck was that thing? Are you guys okay? Did it do some weird super infection thingy?!
Not long after the girl worried about(and hoped for) something weird having happened to them, a young man made his way in after them. He whistles upon entering the building.???: My my, quite a crowd here. Seems like I've come to the right place.
The young man was dressed in a fine suit, far different from the common armor usually worn by a guard, though he was being shadowed by one of the guard robots that had been previously seen. Behind him, the guards could be seen finally arriving on the site, closing off the area with barriers to prevent entry and exit. The young male made his way further in, putting on a friendly face. He was quite tall, standing at an imposing 6'5", and had a strange air about him, though there was no doubt that, were here a part of any guard or police force, he was most definitely high ranking. He cleared his throat.
???: I am truly sorry for the sudden intrusion, but, there have been reports of a strange occurrence within this area. One that...mmm...may have involved some form of portal, or vortex suddenly forming in the sky, and a creature falling out from it. The king himself would be interested in hearing about it, if so...
Penelope remained tight-lipped as soon as he showed himself. His height alone was enough to keep her quiet.
"I don't know what that was but it was kinda scary and very ugly. I'm okay though and I don't think there's any infection things going on."

Elsewhere, Raina and Flandre reconvened in one of the many city streets. While both were interested in returning to the Warrior's Hangout, they were taking a more scenic route.
"So Raina, did anything fun happen?" Flandre asked.
"Not really. Someone's bag got stolen but Sasuke got it back no problem," Raina replied.

"Eh, Sasuke did all the work, I just waited."
"Hmmm, but you worked together before right, or - wait - maybe that was different versions of you?"
"Like clones?"
