Em...guys, actually that is not Kim's wife...that was his master wife. Kim's wife was Myeng Swuk. Both Kim's master and his master wife are his team member in this game.

is Geese still alive in the non Maximum impact KOF series?

Yup, but in Fatal Fury he's dead. Maximum Impact likely take place in a time period of Garou Mark of the Wolves, which set ten years after the event of Fatal Fury. Which is why Maximum Impact was the first appearance of Rock in KOF franchise. Let say if this KOFXIV is indeed a Maximum Impact storyline, maybe like Doomguy said, this could be the prequel story of it. Which explain why Geese still alive and the absent of Alba and Soiree.

why you complain about geese bring back to life, bitch please, vice and mature die din 1996

Vice and Mature has an explanation. Even though they die, their soul can form a solid body in the living world. Geese however, was dead in Maximum Impact (which this new game story might take place). We're not complain over what happen here, we all just curious. Sorry if you feel annoying about what we talking here. We're just having a fun conversation about KOF lore.

Alba and Soiree would had been one of the first characters to be introduce for KOF XIV if that was the case. :-P

True! If KOF XIV takes place in Maximum Impact arc, Alba and Soire should be the first character to revealed, or at least after Kyo and Iori revealed. Kinda awkward, with Geese now seem alive and that Nakoruru, who should not exist in this time period.

but wait a minute that arena stage shown in that trailer (0:13 - 0: 22) giving me some KOF: MI vibe about it... Hmmm.... I wonder...

Ikr! That stage look very similar to Maximum Impact final boss stage a.k.a Duke stage. And now the normal boss in this game look a lot like Duke too. Man, if this KOFXIV is indeed the continuation of Maximum Impact arc, SNK better give an explanation why the hell they didn't add both Alba and Soiree.

So then, I do not see Heidern, Rugal, Adel, Rock, Saisyu, Mr. Karate, Takuma, anybody related to the Orochi team, Yamazaki, Blue Mary, Heavy D! or anybody from those related teams, or Shingo.

Well obviously no Rugal and Orochi team because this KOF is the continuation of the canon storyline. Rugal meet his end in 95 while Orochi team sacrifice themselves in 97. Have to wait for another dream match game if we want to see Rugal and Orochi team back.

    WHERE THE FUCK IS ROCK?

They add Alice, I think she replace Rock for this one. Maybe DLC would help. If I'm not wrong the developer of this game state they will do some DLC too, but I'm not sure if it a character or other content.

So I was right back then... That Russian Billionaire they told about is Duke. Or at least, someone like Duke.

Yea, I remember now, that normal boss look like Duke alternate skin from Maximum Impact. But hey, if that Duke, that mean this KOF is the continuation of Maximum Impact saga...Where the fuck is Alba??? There's no way they gonna left him out if they wanna do a continuation of this arc, that guy was the main hero. Serious dude you right, that exactly look like Duke in his alternate skin.

Oh boy, if that really Duke, please put Alba in this game too :donwan:

  9. I'm also curious about Nakoruru. Her team name was Another World. Make sense since Nakoruru is from Samurai Shodown. If we count about KOF is the merging universe of most of the SNK franchise, then Nakoruru should be dead already because the timeline of Samurai Shodown was in 18th century. Maybe she appear in this game via any portal, hence why her team name was Another World, or she was simply a bonus non-canon character in this game, much like her previous cameo/playable in the old KOF game.

  10. Seem legit. That final boss tough...huhu look pretty badass...and pretty sure he will be cheap as hell (SNK boss syndrome). That Official Invitation team probably have a connection with the final boss. The normal boss, that guy maybe the man who sponsor the tournament this time.

From the look of it, I don't see that we will get a new main protagonist...idk, could be someone from that South American team or Another World team. Those two team are the newest team here, all of the members are new character. Maybe one of them. Official Invitation team also a new team, but like I said, I have a feeling that team will have a connection with the final boss judging from their design. I maybe wrong, we have to wait and see. And since they state we will get a total 50 playable character, that mean the boss and final boss will be playable too.

That would be a lot of work to do, do not forget company is on edge already. making 3D is already casting them a lot of time , money and effort, but i would like to agree with you [not saying that i will buy this game -_- ] :lifeofstudy:

No. Making 3D is actually a lot easier than sprites. 3D graphic will be much easier to make alternate costume because is easy to make it in 3D, simply design another 3D costume, then add it to the model that we save. Different with sprites where you pretty much need to redraw everything. Which is why game like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Dead or Alive got a tons of alternate costume. Plus, SNK is not on the edge anymore, their studio and all their IP has been acquire by Ledo Millenium, a chinese company last year (pretty much like Warner Bros now own Netherrealm studio and Disney own Marvel). The company state they have a big plan to bring back SNK to their glory, and expand this studio talent not just for video games, but for other media such as comics, movies and tv series too. This new KOF is the first step for them to comeback.

Good sprites, not so good gameplay, although you could say this for most of Chuchoryu's characters.

    This!

Doesn't matter if this is chucho's first new character from the different franchise he's not used to do, or he does sometime update some of his old beta/alpha character, the fact about chucho remain the same. Chuchoryu is actually a nice person if you met him, and I also like most of his sprite work, it does look better from time to time. But when it comes to gameplay, there you go...I prefer he just focus on making the sprite work, while let others code his character, this is one of the many things that people keep telling him.

  13. I try to find any confirmation statement from SNK about KOD (King of Dinasours). So far they just state that he was the brand new character. He does look like Tizoc a lot. Perhaps this is another persona of Tizoc, kinda like Julia in Tekken who has another version of her which is Jaycee and Lee Chaolan with his Violet alter-ego. Above all, Maxima is the one who caught my attention, his new outfit just damn cool!

Terry also looks great. Now only Ryo left, hope they will add him.
