Was the glow part essential Oh god not again Good lord man you are obsessed with that useless girl. Now if it were Sakura,Tsunade,Tenten, or Hinata, thats understandable But Ino, Really Ino?

Doesn't matter, if you like her then go ahead. If she's useless, who cares? Its an anime, and Naruto is supposed to be the strongest, yet the most fucking annoying person ever. Plus Ino was shadowed for the mainstream characters, that is why she is "useless" as you say. If they gave her a better storyline in the anime or manga, then you guys will definitely think differently for her.
