According to his info, he's from Brazil (the closest to a real Brazilian name would be something like "Ricardo Maia" but whatever). Richard is a Capoeira master who used his skills to entertain the nightclub crowds and is the owner of PaoPao Cafe. Actually he was the first character to use Capoeira in a fighting game. He teaches Bob Wilson and gets along very well with almost all of the "good guys" in Fatal Fury series.
