Error with Panther by Mother Earth

Whenever I try to play as Panther in Mugen, this error message pops up.

 

Error message: Can't open ©­ƂăpÓT[.act
Error loading chars/DQ_Panther/DQ_Panther.def
Error loading p1

 

Anyone know the reason as to why it's happening?

you have to rename the all the .act files to something readable (it's japanese unicode that wont show up properly in comps with english setting)

 

 

then adjust the def file to reflect the name changes.

*That happend to me too, and I realized about the japanese characters on the file and done like Ryoucchi show.
