we've talked about it many times, there is no such thing as a MASSIVE hosting plan where money is not involved

because at the end of the day someone has to pay the server fees, and dedicated servers plans are too expensive for a single individual to pay from his spare money

about donations, that might work for small hosting plans but massive hosting plan? I doubt there would be enough money donated, and it's the site survival which is at stake

i think many authors don't care about ads, after all they post their stuff on 4shared and co. all the time and these sites are full of popup ads which are much worse than adfly

don't get fooled by this bullshit adfly cover story, the truth is guild ops can't deal with the fact archive took the crown

they want you to believe adfly is bad, although they will never be able to post the scan of an infected adfly page, simply cause they completely made up this story to make you stop visiting a rival site, stop being so easily fooled by guild, they just try to manipulate their users cause they think they're dumb enough to believe their bullshit blindly

they had another upgrade recently, now they generate automatic previews of stages, animated previews and portraits of chars

and even the move list is generated now, this is amazing :D

if I am to choose between the guild and the archive, not even a contest to me, guild has nothing relevant anymore, and it is in my opinion the less friendly of all mugen sites

archive has almost everything I will ever need for this hobby of mine, all it lacks is a more active news forum

afaik they delete stuff only for two reasons, reposts (dupes) or no preview

mffa also has strict rule set, and preview is mandatory

the main reason i dislike guild is because they forgot all they used to stand for

they used to focus on the game, they used to dismiss drama, and look at them now they're a bunch of old drama whores who no longer care about playing

the staff is made of bitter old lowlifes, the base member is only good at quarreling and picking fights

I did try but it doesn't help on firefox, I actually get more popups with right clicks, and same crash freeze crap

I see that you use chrome, and the problem may only occur on firefox, which would be why you don't experience it

I avoid chrome because it's a giant spyware, I only use it when firefox totally fails

once firefox starts loading the ad (which popups in a new tab) it crashes and the recording stops at the same moment

it can't be a coincidence that the recording crashes at the same time so I believe mediafire uses a cpu bottleneck exploit, possibly to bypass adblock, else it is the ad being loaded which contains some malware

adblock plus can't stop the popup either

wikia problem? lack of encyclopedic writing skill (most pages seem to be written by a 10yo) and lack of any real standard across pages

I have already explained that while trying to make a video, the capture crashed at the exact moment when the browser freezes

I suspect mediafire to use some kind of cpu bottleneck exploit to bypass adfly, and that kills any cpu intensive process

so if you have any suggestion on how I can prove it let me know

the good thing about mugenarchive is they have special scripts to process mugen files, that will tell you all the details you need about a char or stage, number of sprites, stage resolution, animations and so on, so you can do quality checks and find the good stuff, this is not something mediafire will do because they don't give a flying fuck about mugen, all they care about is money

so now the question is are you going to click on mediafire ads, a site that only cares about money, or are you going to support archive instead, a site that created a very decent platform to document and download mugen stuff
