General informative thread dedicated to day-specific special events hosted on Sprite Club. Will be periodically updated as event information is changed or new events are implemented. Please keep in mind that all day-long events are ran on GMT, and one will need to do timezone conversion for their specific timezone to figure out when said modes start and end. We also have a calendar that is continuously updated for both Debuts and events like these, which can be accessed via the hyperlink provided or by inputting !calendar in Twitch chat. Matchmaking Monday Bi-weekly event that runs all-day every other Monday. Mode cycle is replaced with nonstop Matchmaking, with breaks for Exhibitions every 100 matches. Thursday 1000s Weekly tournament that runs sometime late Thursday night depending on mod activity and mode cycle. Generally referred to as "1000s", though the rating and tournament format (1v1, 2v2, etc.) is chosen randomly. Viable rating ranges from ~1190 to ~900 rating, though very occasionally the bracket may instead be focused on a certain subset of lower-rated mainstays (eg. MKT or Fiction Fight). A low-div custom mode (often either Downdraft or The Great Escape) usually plays directly after the tournament. Friday 1st Weekly tournament that runs Friday afternoons depending on mod activity and mode cycle. Like Thursday 1000s, rating range and tournament format are chosen randomly. Viable rating ranges from ~1850 to ~2200 rating, though very occasionally the bracket may focus on blanket 1st Division instead. A high-div custom mode (often Updraft) usually plays directly after the tournament. Custom Modes Saturday / "Customs Caturday" Bi-weekly event that runs all-day every other Saturday. Mode cycle is replaced with a completely custom-oriented cycle, in which three custom modes will run back-to-back, followed by an Exhibitions break. In the event of Custom Modes Saturday falling on a Debuts weekend, the event is pushed back to the following Saturday. Do keep in mind that the !custom command will not work during this event, and in order to check which custom comes next, one will have to input !mode instead. Good debuts for the most part, even if I was insanely on-edge for the entirety of, and the entire week week before, it. My favorites this time were Kula & Eddie, Mr. Infamous, Takezo, Sakura Kinomoto EX, Hiram Yagami's WHP characters, Shion XI, FLLFFL, and Isolde. I wish I had gotten to see more of Illusion Khan, Gerbera Petra, Culex, YUPIA, Momo RSO, and Cynos. My sends this time were Genjuro ST, ENA and Moony, Jubei Yagyu SS5SP, Hyuuga A. Akiko, Pocket Ukyo Tachibana, Villa, and Yurizono Seia.
