  1. he meant a trap as in trapping in game stop it.

They where specificaly talking about the male voice sample. And it doesn't change the fact that they used a "him" when reffering to the character.

"One of his supers" is undoubtibly speaking of the character.

I'm not doing this just to bother people, it is just good for everyone if people just use the correct pronoun. I know it is something that is problematic and few people think about it. It's not to start any fight, just a nudge on the right direction.

  2. It is now what the GoodSet is for the emulation community, a kind of compreensive guide of all known catalogued mugen creations in the known internet. But thanks to sturgeon law, it is now mostly crappy minor edits, because people release those by thousands.

I wonder if they atleast find the original authors on those docs. I'm already getting annoyed by the ammount of people doing those crappy edits erasing the names of the original authors. Like the Palette Edit PewDiePie of Rikard's Rikard, who hade the stone faced guts of erasing the name of the original author. Or Tehbazzard's School Girl Lilith, that is a name swap+custom combo from Sailor Lilith while claiming all of the credit. It even got a hiralously bad topic discussion on The Guild.

  3. The fact that Goenitz, designed after a Christian priest, is an important villian in the Orochi saga of KOF doesn't really help either.

Seriously, why did SNK hated christianity so damn much?

Damn straight. Contrary to other series who just either a pro/counter religion standpoint all around or deals with all religions with a similar curiosity, SNK has a thing for using the Catholic God (Might I point out, the Catholic god specifically, not the Hebrew one) as a brainwashing demon.

But cultural differences, I can't say much of anything about how they view it as even among japaneses their own history is up for debate.

  4. Ranmaru is a young man who was a protegee of the Oda clan. He was a loyal warrior and served as a retainer for Nobunaga during the Sengoku Jidai.

He was very young and this is why they crank his bishonen style up to eleven. He died alongside Nobunaga, so this is why he is generally his subboss on games Nobunaga is featured.

He is designed the same way as Amakusa, who is based on the historical Amakusa, a japanese born man who adopted Catholicism and became a sort of messiah in certain regions of japan at a very young age. He died during a hostile takeover of his village, as he was responsible for starting farmer revolts against the emperor for better treatment of the working class.

To those connecting the dots, Ambrosia, the demon that takes over him in the Samurai Shodown series is hinted at being the Catholic God, and Amakusa's possession and brainwashing powers are a deturpation of his missionary work, saying his faith was actually a brainwashing demon.

    Go figure.

  5. Hi, please, correct the credits here, TehBazzard actually just stole the char from Tokuninashii, changed the author name on def file and started sharing the character with his own name to dupe people. Don't let him get credit for work he didn't do. The Simon99514 edit though, is AOK. I will download to see if it is cool. Tokuninashii and Simon99514 should be the only ones getting credit for this char.

  6. Wow, it's amazing to see a Chucho post not exploding the Guild. And the best, the feedback was actually useful. Maybe we are seeing history being made friends. I hope someday I can look at Chucho and see him sharing space with the greats in the Mugen Hall of Fame.

Let's hope he goes through with this one, because right now, it's in a better state than most of his other creations.

Maybe he could ask Borewood for help, the guy already have a lot of experience with Juri, he would be useful to make the character a little more streamlined.

  7. WTF! What an information overload mein goth!

Another Kusanagi XI UM = Another Another Kyo XI Style Unlimited Match System.

Yes, he sure seens interesting. He looks like an inbetween version of Kyo XIII and Neo Kyo XI. A good combo for my tastes.

  8. I'm really sorry if we are sounding/acting in an arrogant maner, it's just that everytime it's the same tango and everyone here is exhausted of repeating the same discussion over and over, with the same arguments.

By now you can only get angry at, laugh at or be disapointed at the fact that there's still people here using the same defences that where discussed and debunked numerous times before. You can check by yourself, every single Chuch news went exactly like this.

And believe it or not, it's not the first time we had to explain what I'm explaining right now, just so you can get a perspective on things.

  9. Fine then. But atleast let the things flow normally. It will be blocked eventually, like every single post related to Chuch.

People here have had this exact same discussion we are having numerous times, and as such, we are just being numbers added to a sad chart.

  10. Wasn't the point you where refuting the fact that no one here is taking him seriously?

Everyone here was making jokes or saying to not take the guy seriously, and suddenly you tell everyone to stop picking on Chuchoryu. Hell, even my post was telling people to stop giving him attention, because he was probably trolling.

You're kind of defeating your own point right now. We where having fun with the whole sittuation. I'm sorry just for Ryon, because he tried to prevent another s*thstorm from hapenning on a Chucho release post.

That's the problem with Chuchoryu, everyone stops thinking rationally when he is cited. It's easy to say "Why so serious" after everyone stopped playing, just don't do that when you where one of the ones telling people to stop playing.

Also, do we really have to go through all of this discussion of why "if you don't like it leave it alone" is dumb and don't work? Feedback is there for a reason, be it good, be it bad, be it from someone who likes it, be it from someone who dislikes it, giving feedback is there because it's the base for improvement. Telling everyone that they shouldn't open their mouths if it's not to give all the cheers and compliments to the creator is just intelectual poison and will do nothing but inflate the creator ego. If you don't want hear people complain about Chuchoryu stuff, just don't read the topic. See, it goes both ways.

Also, don't reply saying things like "I never said you have no right of complaining", because it's right here on the thread:

well he is at least trying we can't all have perfect creators that's why we have professionals like nether realms

you guys are starting to acted childish there is no reason to say anything if you don't like his work

just leave the thread alone its not going to make anything better all of this is pointless lets just leave and live

  11. Roy is Ryon.

OOOOH! Thank you. I was not aware.

well he is at least trying we can't all have perfect creators that's why we have professionals like nether realms

you guys are starting to acted childish there is no reason to say anything if you don't like his work

just leave the thread alone its not going to make anything better all of this is pointless lets just leave and live

Also, it's just that everyone gave him feedback and tried to help him improve atleast once, we all have given tips, asked for a little more work before releasing and some very constructive and helpful advice.

But after the 30th char straight he released with the same errors and problems and not a single clue of him ever taking anything we said into consideration, we have kind of burned out and aren't willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt anymore.

After this point is a ginormous rant and talking about Chuchoryu makes my blood boil. Read on at your own risk.

Hell, we have actually uncovered various ocassions of not only he abusing this defence for personal merit, he is pretty able to understand what we say (the "maybe it's the language barrier" defence) because he is one of the mods on MMV forums and can easily understand anything they say when it's complimenting him.

He's not even trying, that's the problem, everyone here is already out of patience to deal with his work anymore. If this was just a few early examples, cool, but the guy have already stolen sprites, brocken deals and abused people on his forum based solely on the fact that he is the "scrappy" of the mugen community.

Here, there's a quote from Arpa who pretty much sums up all of the problem we have with Chuchoryu and MMV/IMT way of doing things:

    - "I made this my first character so I can make fun of the first character excuse."

There's one thing as inexperience, there's another as not caring. Arpa was able with his first character to break a jab at all of people who hide behind the wall of "I shouldn't be criticised because I'm a starter.".

You like his chars, GREAT, you can like it, and even if someone call you out on that, you have the right to be upset, but don't defend Chuchoryu, the creator. He uses this excuse to the fullest and is only enjoying the meatshield his fans provide. I really don't see the point on counter argument someone saying "it should be better". What's wrong with that? What's wrong with wanting better things? Where is the problem? Will it kill someone if Chuchoryu take 3 months instead of 2 weeks to release a single char? His heart is connected to a bomb that will go off after 14 days without the release of a single char? Will the planet dispear if he is unable to give all the tekken cast in a single trimester? So why can't he take some time to make sure things are working correctly.

People only defend Chuchoryu because they want things fast. And he feeds those needs. But in reality, he's just stealing the spotlight of more talented and hardworking people. Byakku and Seanalty are both incredible creators who make original sprites and their tekken conversions are never remembered or added to collections, because Chucho's version came first and are the most reproduced because of his fans. Hell, his fans firmly believe that Chucho's tekken conversions are the only ones in the whole mugen. I can post various quotes from his forum and release posts where people really believe that assertion.

You people need to understand that criticism is different from attacking. He is not an inoccent child being molested by the evil Mugen Community. He knows very well how things work and just don't really try because he knows that he can get away with it. CVS The Abstract tried to give him a second chance from stealing his sprites and the only thing he did was breaking a deal and abusing the confidence that CVS The Abstract have deposited on him. And you know the worst part of this whole thing? It's that his fans attacked CVS The Abstract because he was just too dumb to not give his sprites to Chucho, like if Chucho was just some retarded kid who would crap his own pants if unwatched.

    You can see now?

Don't defend him, he's not retarded, he doesn't have a problem, he's not a child, he's an adult and as such is susceptible to the criticism of the quality of his work like everyone else.

Sorry for the angrish, every time is the same thing.

  12. as much as I agree did you not read what ryon just said?

But where's Ryon?  To me there's no Ryon on this post? Did he erase it? If you mean Roy, I'm not bashing him, just pointing out that he'd have had to go out of his way to get a GB MK2 intro, there's no reason to get a GB MK2 intro if it's not just to make people pissed/confused.

  13. From this video I believe he is just trolling, he even went through all the trouble to get the GB MK intro, one of the worst versions of the MK2 intro, with the GB well known bad rendition of the MK sounds because of the high pitch. The arcade intro is super easy to find. He was making sure the video was bad.

He must be doing things badly on purpose. Stop giving the guy attention, he wants it.

  14. No. I no DL Mugen 1.1. Too much effort. Also, wouldn't I have to re-download all my characters in 1.1?

    WHAT?

No, you don't need to convert everything, 1.1 is very relient with retrocompatibility.

I run chars from 1.0, WM and even DOS era mugen with no big problems. Some need older ones (WM and DOS) need some fixes, but the Fixes you've done for them to work on 1.0 will carry over for 1.1, so no biggie.

Hell, Yueng Soi Leng, a VERY EARLY DOS Mugen char, worked without any problem, with just a little correction on pallet definition (something that was made back in WM and is still compatible with new releases) and she will play nicely with everyone else.

  15. Woaw, you shouldn't have done that, now you've unleashed the beast that's inside me.

I LOVE MEGAMAN AND FIGHTING GAMES. And because of it became a little too much obsessed on making fighting game movelists for all the robots in the series. And since I'm really against clone or redundant characters, I like to give every single character a well tought out and stylized moveset. Also, I'm a super retro buff, and as such, made some movelists for other game characters.

Here's just a little taste, maybe tomorow I will post more movesets, it's just that it's late in the night and I can't bother to find my notebook.

Movelist for Classic Rockman (When I post the other movesets you will understand why the japanese name)

(Note: I'm using the UMVC3 template of 3 strength button and a launcher button)

    Legend: W = Weak, M = Medium, S = Strong, L = Launcher, A = Any Strenght.

    Command Moves:

    - (air enabled) S - Rock Buster: Small projectile, can be chained for 3 hits. Does little damage and no chip damage. (MM1)

    - (air enabled) (charge) S - Rock Buster (New Rock Buster/Super Rock Buster): Tier 1 is a stronger projectile. Tier 2 is even stronger, causes crumple if unguarded. (MM4/5)

    - (air enabled) f+S - Rock Arm: Projectile. Launches it's arm. Causes a Wall bounce. (MMV)

    - df+S - Rock Slide: Sweeping slide. Can OTG. (MM3)

    - (charge) L - Rock Upper: Shoryuken style attack. Launchs the enemy up. (MMPF/MVC)

    - d, u - Rush Coil: Superjump. (MM3)

    Special Moves:

    - L+A - Weapon Copy System: Megaman will summon a orb that will gather the data on a enemy (similar to Modok's Analysis Cube), when the enemy is hit, the orb will gather the data on the enemy, storing an attack from the enemy for lather use. (Works similar to Rogue's Kiss from XMvsSF)  (MM1)

    - L+A - Copy Weapon: With an attack stored, you can press the same combination to release it again. Has limited uses before draining and having to copy it again. (MM1)

    - QCF+W - Rush Cannon: Rush will launch a delayed shot. Rockman can move and attack freely while Rush is performing this attack. Causes 3 hits. (MM8)

    - QCF+M - Rush Missile: Rush will turn into a jet and hurl himself forward. Rockman can move and attack freely while Rush is performing this attack. (MMPF)

    - QCF+S - Rush Bomber: Rush will turn into a jet and fly above the enemy, dropping a mortar. Works similar to Strider's Formation C. (MM8)

    - QCB+W - New Rush Coil: Launches Rockman straight up. Anti-air move. Can be used to start air combos. (MM5)

    - QCB+M - Rush Jet: Rockman flies diagonaly to the opposite side of the screen. Anti-air move. Can be used to start air combos. (MM3)

    - QCB+S - Rush Cycle: Rockman dashes along the screen. Works like Captain America's Charging Star. (MM8)

-- S (During Rush Cycle) - Rush Cycle Cannon: Rush will shoot a small missile from his mouth. Causes wall bounce. (MM8)

    - DP+A - Magnet Beam: Rockman will do an arc with his arm while using the Magnet Beam. The W version will knock the enemy into the ground. The M version will knock the enemy back. The S version will knock the enemy up. Can negate projectiles. (MM1)

    Super Moves (1000 Power):

    - QCF+2A - Arrow Shot: Small projectile. If it hits the enemy, it will explode in a firework formation, causing additional hits. If defended, it will explode into a spray fashion, causing a lot of chip damage. If dodged, it will explode in the wall and spray back, causing minor damage. Different bottom combinations change the trajectory. (W+M = Horizontal, W+S = Diagonal, M+S = Vertical) (MM8)

    - QCB+2A - Laser Shot: Large laser projectile. Causes multiple hits. (MM8)

    Hyper Moves (3000 Power):

    - DP+2A - Full Magnet Beam: Rockman will release an energy stream from his buster. If it hits, it will encase the enemy into a magnetic barrier and he will be compressed and shot down with extreme force. (Based on the Magnet Beam Glitch of MM1 where you would fall at maximum speed if the Magnet Beam expired under you).

As you can see, the movelist is based on his appearences on the game, only using skills he normally have on the main series, without the robot master weapons and giving him way more options of mobility. He is thought out to be a Jack of All trades character.

His playstyle was tought out to be used as a learning character. Most of his command moves cover the various necessities of a Shotokan allowing people to get a easy time doing those attacks without much work on learning. Even though they are underpowered compared to normal attacks they are his bread and butter. Rock Buster is the Hadouken, Rock Upper the Shoryuken and Rock Arm/Rock Slide are the Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku.

His special work more as setup tools.

His QCF specials are attack setups, where the delay on the Rush attacks allow him to prolong combos or poke safely.

His QCB specials are his mobility options, where each one designed to get him to somewhere on the screen while still allowing him to crossup or combo intercept someone.

His DP specials are his placement tools, where each version allows him to control the place where his enemy will be.

His Supers and Hyper are his heavy damage dealers, but you can see that they are also setups. His Arrow Shot punish turtles and can cause trouble to people who have teleport moves, making it safe. His Laser Shot works as the projectile eather of the bunch. And his Full Magnet Beam will leave the enemy grounded, allowing you to continue with an OTG. Almost every concept from a fighting game movelist was used in this moveset and they all serve as learning tools for characters who have way more specialized versions of those concepts.

He is pretty capable of working as a complete character, but if you want to be able to do more heavy damage without the Supers and Hyper, the Weapon Copy System allows you steal the enemy's signature move.

Also, if you see some tools from his arsenal are missing in this movelist (Items and Adapters), they are not, it's just that I've given them to other characters/versions.
