calm yet terrifying Null-tier boss Dark Akabane is FINALLY RELEASED, known as the Father and Leader of The Cleaners. Polite, composed, and calculating, he commands his family with authority and care, treating them with respect while enforcing strict discipline. In battle, Akabane is built for dominance, equipped with layered null defenses, auto-surrender counters, helper freeze techniques, and a heartbeat system that blocks memory injection before it begins. He specializes in locking down and forcing even the strongest cheapies to surrender (depending on what they are). Designed for 1.0 and 1.1b, he’s one of the most resilient characters in the roster.

He is available, there will be many changes added to him, though for him to be able to be more lore accurate since after all this the same man, who runs a very powerful organization that involves assassination and has people within his family who are extremely dangerous; therefore, he has to be the most dangerous one of them all.

He was originally supposed to be a postman-tier cheapie, but I wasn't getting anywhere with that. Every time I was close, I still ran into some issues, so I decided to change him up at this point in time, since his release had been overdue.

 

Update (as of 10/11/2025):

Final & Most Accurate Update (Personality-wise)

This update, Akabane, is a (and the first) anti-exploit cheapie that uses .py and .bat files to get rid of characters that use exploits. This works by going in his file and running run_guard_auto.bat and quarantining the exploit-based characters and allowing him to make Mugen run on his own terms.

Meaning, he doesn't have time to fight characters that do not go all out and instead uses exploits because he is god tier so characters that are on par or weaker than him are allowed on the roster and not those who use exploits, for he loves destruction and dominating the roster especially against cheapies like him.

This is why to run this character, the following is required:

- Backup your chars folder

- Use VMWare

and that is it! Please don't say I didn't warn you.

Follow all the instructions stated on the readme for it is required or this character for attempting to make Akabane face these cheapies will result in nowhere, the match will not start and it will most likely end in a double KO or just really won't start in general (or who knows that shit probably gonna start anyways depending on the character). for literally defeats the purpose of the character. he quarantines/removes Secretary tier cheapies all the way down to anti-malware cheapies (this includes frost tier)

Nonetheless, still expect some bugs, especially since this has to be the first cheapie to have python incorporated to it externally. Because, after all dude wants a real fight, not a fight where they just do all these crazy effects and use other tactics to win. he needs cheapies just as strong as him and that you gotta respect him for.

I'm hoping with something like this, this can get some cheapie authors as well to see what else python can do with mugen since I've been told no one has been using python with Mugen before and mainly .dll files and such. so other than that don't expect perfection, do expect some bugs and be sure to be on vmware and backup your characters you've been warned again.

For anyone confused, think of him as a postman cheapie except, of deleting characters. he simple removes them and starts mugen. if you guys encounter any problems PLEASE speak up because this type of thing is a big deal. it is a beta for a reason because this isn't entirely perfect and I want people who use this to report any feedback/issues.
