Killer Instinct 2 Ultra

Just an idea I had for a Killer Instinct MUGEN fangame!

 

Concept: Killer Instinct 2 Ultra is a scrapped revision and expansion of the original arcade version of Killer Instinct 2. After the Killer Instinct failed to keep up with its competitors and Killer Instinct 2 underperformed in comparison to its predecessor, Nintendo terminated their license for the Killer Instinct arcade title, forcing Rare to cease development of KI2 Ultra in favor of a console port of Killer Instinct 2. This is the only known playable build of Killer Instinct 2 Ultra.

Ideally, new characters would be modeled and animated from scratch in the Killer Instinct 2 style and built for MUGEN. I know it'll be a lot of work - probably more than it's worth - but I think it would be a fun challenge!
