How to add more stages with the same .def name

Hi everyone, I would need to know how to add a stage with the same .def name. I tried to change both .def and .sff and it doesn't appear in the select menu. Making different .def and .sff it makes the game crash. Changing name of the character is super easy with changing the pack and .def file but I don't know here. I am honstly always tired of experimenting in MUGEN because then it doesn't work or crashes. Is it possible to solve this problem?

Do you just want both files to have the same name you choose?
If I understand your question correctly, happens that inside the .def file
the path and name of the .sff file must be changed to match it too

Look for this parameter inside the .def file: EXAMPLE

[BGdef]
spr=stages/STAGE NAME.sff
