Like, if people only tell you what you want to hear, you're never really doing any sleuthing, right? What do you think, gumshoes? Well, to be honest, I'm surprised hypnosis as a means of lie detection isn't more common. But fictional full-on mind control would be ridiculously useful for that. Wait.
