Characters Shadow

Hello guys, I wanna ask about the characters shadow. I curious to know why some characters has a blink shadow? Usually characters shadow is just a dark/black but sometimes there are characters who has a shadow which seem a bit lighter, or blur in gray color and blink. Why this is happening and can we make it change to a proper dark/black shadow without a blink?

the blinking is done within the character itself, its coded that way.

 

the color of the shadow, is done within the stage.

stage creators code them that way.
