RicePigeon Posted April 18, 2016 Author Share Posted April 18, 2016 Some Singles Viability changes: : A+ -> B+ Offense is the most prominent playstyle from what I can tell and Hoopa-U has always struggled against it, even in OU before its ban. After testing it out, the Choice Scarf set is just underwhelming (it can't RK Blaziken or SD Arceus-Dragon, and even Mega Mawile bodies it) : S -> A+ As good as it is, 101 speed is an awkward speed tier. It still hits hard, but with stuff like Blaziken and Mega Mawile running around, it has a harder time against offense. : A -> A+ I underestimated this thing's ability to check Mega Mawile and soft check Blaziken, which are really threatening in their own right. : A -> A+ Probably one of the most threatening Pokemon for offense and has good synergy with Mega Mawile, as they share common checks in Landorus-T and Mega Slowbro and can overwhelm them together. If Mega Mawile is going to be A+ rank then so should this thing. : S -> A+ It was overdue for this thing to move down. Still threatening in its own right, but it's not very splashable and I can't think of an instance where I wasn't using another Mega. : Added to B+ Pretty much requires Sand to be effective and can sweep through anything not named Blaziken or +2 Mega Mawile. (Grass) : Added to B+ Been playing with this recently. Solid check to Groudon and, depending on what set it runs, Azumarill as well. Can also run several coverage moves to hit its common switch-ins, and isn't too bad at using Calm Mind either, though only running two moves + Recover + Calm Mind kinda hurts it. : added to C Slayraptor64 demanded I add this somewhere. Obviously not the best Defog user but it does have some qualities worth noting, such as Knock Off spam and ability to take out some heavy physical hitters with Foul Play (for instance, it OHKOs +2 Blaziken after Flare Blitz & Life Orb recoil, and lives any unboosted attacks). : A+ -> S Probably one of the most threatening wallbreakers out there, and usually the first choice for a Mega whenever I'm building a team. All this really needs is Blaziken as a teammate to start wreaking havoc on the opponent as they whittle down each other's shared checks and counters.
