Here is my walkthrough of another Contra game - Super Contra or just Super C, with no dying. Like the walkthrough of the first contra - this is not a speedrun or something. But still - no lives lost. I am not that confident with this game, so I am acting lame at some stages. Stage 1:

you should put tha vids themselves in spoilers, it helps folks that might have quirky cpus/net connections scroll thru &/or see tha vids better. nice work tho, coulda used these vids on tha GFFA channel.
