But Sonic never had a Kaioken form. Why a Kaioken form if Sonic has a dozen forms to work with?

Super Sonic, Hyper Sonic, Darkspine Sonic, Excalibur Sonic, Werehog Sonic, Sonic's various Wisp forms from Sonic Colors.
