Also it's one hilarious series Laharl, do you mind sending him the links to your Darkwing Duck's comics? They are usually crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize cynical attitudes and sexual motivations. Hollywood's classic film noir period is generally regarded as extending from the early 1940s to the late 1950s and many of those moves were black-and-white and stuff. Do you know this cliche of detective/police stories with a mysterious murderer, a femme fatale and stuff? That's the basic premise. Some of the most recents noir films are Zodiac (2009), Shutter Island (2010), The Big Bang (2011) and Drive (2011). Even The Dark Knight (yup, the Batman movie) follows a noir-like structure.
