The 'America' Thread I figured since I live in the states, why not a catch all topic about events in the states. Now, for a warning: Politics will be mentioned here since it is a catch all thread. One of the great things about Spotify is the great collection of music that I have... currently, I'm listening to one of my favorites from the collection, "Asshole" by Denis Leary.

Not really, Big Green. Anyway... I got puns! Good puns, bad puns... it would be a total 'pun'-ishment to not like them.

There aren't many creators whose stuff I don't recommend, largely because I try to keep an open mind and try to find positive things. Take Joey Faust, for example. While I do greatly appreciate the fact that he made characters from Time Killers and BloodStorm for MUGEN, what I don't like is how shoddy the controls are... I also happen to be a HUGE stickler for character accuracy. If you're converting a character from an arcade game, the best idea is to attempt to make it as close to 1:1 as possible. This way, a new player can jump in with said character and not feel lost... The moves the character has in MUGEN are the same as the character in the original game. This makes the transition far easier for the player. I get that the creations were for his fan game... but, considering that his fan game uses the MUGEN engine as well, wouldn't it make sense to try and to get it closer to a 1:1 conversion?

How would that work? No, seriously... how could a car be a maid?

Hmm... after seeing the latest trailer and reading about the leaked roster for the first time, I'm starting to think that the roster might be spot on.

Let's see... The story of the Seadragon Squad It's been years since the events of the Mugenland War. This fight between forces lead to a major divide within the team... Sagat and those loyal to him sided with Lex Luthor and the forces of Mugenland while Orchid, who many considered to be the number two on the team, lead a inter squad rebellion that lead to the team being defeated in the end game. The end result was bad: Most of the members were convinced of crimes against humanity and sentenced to serve out prison sentences ranging from 10 years to life. Since then, the man known as 'Seadragon' has been starting to rebuild the Squad. This time as a globe trotting strike force that solves problems worldwide. But, as in the past, forces are forming to take down the Squad... who these forces are remain to be seen, but in this new world... it won't be easy for the Squad. (OoC: For a character to be added into the story line, they must have 6 battles done [win or lose]) Protagonists: Sagat, Leo, Max Eagle, Q, The Griffon, Sabretooth Antagonists: Magma Dragoon, MK2 M. Bison Neutral: Perfect Cell, Android 16

Might be part of it...Most of her training had to be in the Matsuda style of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and sprinkle in some electric powers for shits and giggles. Anyhow... I like her. She's a breast of fresh air. ;)

I don't think Namco would be too happy to see any Mishimas getting carved up like Thanksgiving turkeys in Mortal Kombat any time soon... The capos, on the other hand... I'd be more then happy to see either one on the receiving end of an MK finisher.

Agreed. I've met a few people who were that way. A really good example of that was when I ran into the IMT guys for the first time. I showed them a video one of my friends made. It's long gone now, but the video tried to show all of these characters as having 'MvC' styled game play... when they didn't. That lead me to IMT itself to try and let them know that 'Hey, if you guys are going to put out something that is in this style, try to make it work'. I was told, not by the author, but by someone else to fix it myself. THAT is not cool... I didn't make the damn characters, your friend did. He should fix that or, better yet, don't label it as 'MvC' game play when it's clearly NOT.

I agree with that... it screams laziness. I remember Omega Supreme's Transformer characters. There has to be sound clips of the characters screaming to use for a death sound, right?

Let's see... -Overpowered AI (Along with cheap AI as well... might as well bundle the two as the same) -Badly coded characters -Rush jobs (case in point, the Armadon that made not too long ago... yeah, the guy who made it didn't even bother to make a move list for him) -False advertising (If your character is based off of MvC, then I expect that... don't sell me something that isn't what you said it was) -Jackasses (This is for those jerks at IMT. No wonder people hate your site)

You. Have. To. Be. Shitting me. ARGH! I freaking hated her in Alpha 3 because she's nothing more then some rich spoiled bitch with nothing better to do then fight... and guess what? Namco made a better version of that kind of character in Lili. To me, it's like Capcom is purposely trying to get me pissed off. I hated R. Mika... I hated Karin.. and they're back!! Only way they could make this a total hate fest on my part is if they someone brought the Idiot Twins Yun and Yang back.

You get it, but the pepe is not really that rare.. in fact, it's been used. I wish for a monkey butler and a Zangoose to fight against.

Well, this is nice to see. Always loved your characters, but I have to ask... Are there any plans to go beyond MK3 in terms of characters?

What would I like to see... Well... how about characters from Time Killers and BloodStorm that play closer to the original game. A better Armadon (Primal Rage) 2D versions of the characters from War Gods

Exactly. If people don't like what you did, you have two choices... 1.) Fix the issues mentioned to make a better product or... 2.) Ignore the issues and watch the public give your creation a public ass kicking. No one likes bad creations to begin with. Hell, I've dealt with my share of stubborn people *cough cough* IMT! *cough cough*
