Every week around Sunday (give or take a day) the News Staff posts the Motha Fuckin Fawn, which is MMFA's Weekly News.  The Fawn can be found on it's own sub-board in the News forum and every Issue contains releases from throughout that week.  The releases come from the Release forum, and the Offsite Releases sub-board in the News forum.  The Fawn also includes news articles from the gaming community in general, new games coming out, strategy tips for existing games etc.  And sometimes there will be articles written by either staff or MFFA members.  So if you feel like contributing some of your handy-work in the form of an article about anything Mugen or gaming related that you wish, please be our guest.  If that's you, visit the Content Submissions thread on the Fawns board.

Like I said on Discord, the criteria for the silver and gold trophies enforces a specific design for characters and thus kills variety, as you're basically telling people to flood their characters with content they don't necessarily need. Having too many moves leads to moveset saturation and thus results in redundant moves; it's better to have a smaller moveset where every move has a purpose than to have a large moveset where some moves are useless compared to others or just serve the same purpose. In addition, assists require the character to be designed around them, but what this suggests is to just have them for the sake of having them.
 
In short, I cannot agree with the current trophy criteria because it pushes quantity over quality and rewards creators for following these ridiculous standards instead of making what they want.
 
As a side note, the platinum trophy criteria doesn't take into consideration the complexity (or lack thereof) of the original game, so someone could spend ages figuring out the nuances of UNIST to get that trophy, only for someone to also get it just for making something from Kart Fighter.

I just feel this kind of judging is only aimed to few character's game the judger likes most.
I know some here doesnt like JUS style (even myself) but there are huge differences of good quality JUS sprites and bad quality ones. how would this be judged in a community that just stares at jus and says ewww i dont like the style?
 
 
JUS was only an example of many character styles that a lot of people wouldnt use a choice for playing but that doesnt mean the character is bad. The requirements sounds like if the coder should stop doing the style they love to fit the style the judges love and this is far away from being a valid point to hard analysis.
 
 
IMO only include basic related art stuffs for mugen such as required sprites etc because since ive joined discord i can only see people only liking few loli-related games and i can ensure you this will scare those not going from this way and good potential candidates will lose due a huge error margin you are inputting here.

Welcome to the first edition of MFFA Monthly Judgment. This is where, every month, we gather a team of members of the community to give their thoughts on some of the month's hottest releases. Each judge will collectively agree to a set of characters released or updated during that month, which the entire panel will judge based on 2 main areas: Presentation and Functionality.
 
Each score is then tallied into a total, which will receive a letter grade based on the following criteria:
S:  95%~100%
A: 85%~94%
B: 70%~84%
C: 50%~69%
F: <50%
 
For the first installment of Monthly Judgment, we asked @Nep Heart, @PlasmoidThunder, and @Mister Fael for their opinions on some of January 2019's releases.

Trophy System Soft Opening
Where did those missing clubs wander off to?  Seeing as they weren't getting much traffic, I repurposed them.  With a little css finessing they've become the core functionality of a trophy system.
Members will be able to earn trophies for various accomplishments, like character creation, write ups in the monthly judgement, and other things.
We're going to start it with a couple of trophies, and if it works out well and people like it, we'll add more as time goes on, likely update the existing imagery etc.
Soft opening is just to make clear that it's in a trial phase, which among other things means its open to suggestion regarding its design, both visually and to some extent functionally. 

Nobody has any trophies yet.  The first round will be given out to the Character of the Month winner, and to contributors in the Monthly Judgement.  Trophies for the Ikemen Dojo will also be made available in the beginning so keep an eye out for the next seasonal Ikemen Tourney.   You must have discipline if you're going to win the Golden Dragon, so training should begin as soon as possible.

They first round of trophies will be made available and visible in the [ EVENTS ] section some time this week.
