Dan got a reaction from HappyDappy666 in Spanish gaming magazine featuring Mugen
Today I learned there was a Spanish video game magazine in the early 2000's called GameType, it mostly focused on fighting games from SNK but also had entire sections dedicated to Mugen stuff and included compilations on CDs (even though I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to do that), you can check out some pages of it yourself over here:
https://www.culturaneogeo.com/revistas/gametype
It's all in Spanish but scrolling by you can see descriptions about recommended Mugen characters and whatnot, I'm surprised I've never heard of this before, not sure if it's still around though.

Dan got a reaction from HappyDappy666 in Cancelled GameCube port of KOF 2002 or hoax?
While looking through a few pages of the Spanish gaming magazine Gametype (which also frequently featured Mugen like I said on my other topic), I came across some weird news.
On the issue no.11 from February 2003 on the last news section there's something about a port of The King of Fighters 2002 for the GameCube that would feature characters from the then recently released GBA game The King of Fighters EX2 (albeit by then still Japan only) and a new game mode called "Judgment of Fighter", though I'm not able to find any other info about this supposed port so I'm unsure about it's legitimacy.
I'm a native Spanish speaker so here's the translation to said article:
I downloaded a full scan of this issue but there's no other information about this other than that small section of page 8 pictured above, but all the other news are completely legit though so not sure why would they lie about this specific port of the game.
What do you all think about this? maybe a lost port of the game or just a hoax by the magazine?

Dan reacted to Slayer. in Beat'em up Lifebar (MUGEN 1.0)
I wanted to do this lifebar a long time ago because I really like it. The original concept was created by City Hunter. Before yesterday I decided to do it. It took much longer than I wanted because I did not have much material...
So I had to draw everything.
Animations and announcers are from my Street Fighter Essence Lifebar. I wanted to do something simple, but you can call me lazy.

Dan reacted to PlasmoidThunder in Sm4sh Lifebars
What's this? 1280x720 lifebars? M.U.G.E.N 1.1-only?
Yes. Sorry about that :P
If it's any consolation, there's a 640x480 version too!
...but there's no way I'm getting these working in 1.0 (or WinMUGEN, har).
GET SMASHING!
For those of you who are interested, the inspiration for these lifebars comes from Vet's video depicting a stamina match with traditional lifebars:
It's not a 1:1 conversion, but the overall design is still there.

Dan reacted to Galvatron in Its time for us to all move on now.....
I just want to tell everyone as well as every MFFA member who lives in the U.S.:
We all understand the recent past presidential election had upset alot of us but we shouldn't stress on it any ways that causes others to feel discomfort about it especially towards members and new members internationally. At this point we should not put our thoughts on politics and focus more on other important things like our neighbors, friends and families. We can also keep our minds off by communicating and doing more positive activities like MUGEN, Video games, etc.
For the folks who are still stress about it I suggest you put your minds at ease by meditating/praying and think on more positive aspects to make things better for yourself and others. Keep in mind we should not let political matters interrupt our current lives even if things go for the better or worse. Overall we need to keep moving on and stop stressing our selfs on this matter. As I said before let us focus more on other things to keep this Mugen community strong.
Thank you
- Galvatron

Dan reacted to Ex✭Cᴀʜᴍ in Which anime disappointed you the most?
Dragon Ball Super:
Was slow and pretty plot pointless at start (with all the movie re-do stuff) but at the start of Frieza´s Saga (before Golden Frieza) was interesting so c
urrently its a random from decent to bad on my list since the God´s Tournament started so is kinda there as Disappointing at times for me.

Dan reacted to White Ranger in Iori Edits Collection
Special thanks to gui0007 for supplying the image for the title, this was another highly requested collection, and let's face it we can't have one of Kyo without Iori to match it.
Like his rival Kyo, Iori is the heir to one one of the three families that sealed away Orochi 1,800 years ago. His clan was formerly known as the Yasakani. In addition to appearing in The King of Fighters series he has his own drama CD, and is featured in SNK's Band of Fighters as the bassist of the group. He also appeared as the main antagonist in Kyo's spin-off game The King of Fighters: Kyo. Like his rival he has a great deal of edits, ranging from custom gameplay to boss and cheap versions. Enjoy!!
UPDATE: This collection is officially finished. Let me know if their's any edits missing. Enjoy :)
