My current ideas for gameplay, concerning character movement are:

Forward Dash (Forward, Forward)

Backward Dash (Back, Back)

Double Jump (Up, then Up again while in mid-air)

Super Jump (Down, Up) - Cannot double stack with double jump

Air Forward Dash (Forward, Forward while in mid-air)

Air Backward Dash (Back, Back while in mid-air)

Wall Slide (Back, Back while next to the wall in mid-air)

Wall Climb (Hold Back during Wall Slide+Press appropriate direction of the wall. For Example: Hold back+Left to climbing left wall)

Roll (Hold Down+Forward or Backward, depending on direction you want to travel

During Wall Slide:

Punch

Kick

Buster Shot

Jump Off Wall will transition into a regular air state, which will allow him to perform default air attacks (punches, kicks, specials, etc)

For anyone working on my project, you may experience me sending you practically the same or similar messages repeatedly until I get a reply, to reassure myself that you got my message. I understand at times that this may be annoying and I have no intention to bother anyone.

This is an open source project, the only conditions being that no one uses any part of this character for closed source characters or hentai characters. If any part of this character is used for a character, consider that character now open source. The material in this project is for open source projects only!

This is just an idea for now, but what if I make a hyper combo where he uses a ride armor? I thought it would be really cool if we could actually give the ride armor hyper combo about 3 basic attacks to make it look really neat, keep it from being redundant in it's animation.

Ride Armor

Light, medium, and hard punch

Light, medium and hard kick

No jumping, crouching or dashing

Walk forward and backward

Super armor effect, no get hit animations

Cheap imitation of Megazord or Gundam style fighting

Level 2 or 3

Timer with countdown meter

I Pray You Do A Great Job On Megaman X Man, Cuz I Maybe Downloaded Lots Of Cheap Ones That Where Not Good...

I will try to have X coded as balanced as possible. Whether or not it works out, there will be more than one version of my X released on different websites. So hopefully one of them will appeal to you.

If Z is heavy attack, then the default shouldn't be angled.

How about this?

HP - standard buster shot, chargeable

DP+P - Angled charge shot. LP = Crouch shot, MP = diagonal, HP = vertical

We could do that and I thought about that, but then I was like, there won't be room for his basic attacks then.

I want his basics to include:

3 different angle buster shots (standing)

3 different punches (standing)

3 different kicks (standing)

Ideas Basics For Standing & Dashing Controls:

Press z, z, z: Rapid Fire Buster Shot

Hold z (some seconds worth of time): Charge Buster

Press z (release quickly): Diagonal Buster Shot

Hold Forward+z: Forward Buster Shot

Hold Back+z: Vertical Buster Shot

F, F, z: Dash Buster Shot

F, F, y: Dash Medium Punch

F, F, x: Dash Light Punch

B, B, z: Backward Dash Buster Shot

B, B, a: Backward Dash Light Kick

B, B, a: Backward Dash Medium Kick

B, B, b: Backward Dash Heavy Kick

Press x: Light Punch (Press X again to perform another light punch with other hand)

y: Medium Punch

a: Light Kick

b: Medium Kick

c: Heavy Kick

x+y: Throw

y+z: Throw

a+b: Throw

b+c: Throw

Z Saber: Alternate attacks when basics can't reach, the Z Saber moves will be used in place of basic punches and kicks

Like I told you, I tested your X in both 1.0 and *gasp* WinMugen (my Megaman-themed mugen is Win+). I'm not too found on using a button to jump and another to block (MK-like), but I do liked the amount of air-dashing you can do with him, it's very good to do air combos. Some stuff still feels a bit off, but I'm sure you're going to tweak it a little, right? But there are two (maybe three) bugs: when he wins in the second round, he don't turns into a energy beam and port out, he just.... Flies up. Also when defeated, the explosion keeps going on until the screen goes dark, and it happens on both rounds. Also, he don't have a winning stance for the first round he wins Sprite-wise, some fells a bit unaligned, but I understand it's hard to do it because of his huge feet, but it got lots of potential. The only thing is he shrinks/get shorter while air dashing D:

I'm going to update the MegaMan collection soon. There is a new beta coming up anytime in the near future (say, next week) or I can go ahead and post the current version? (or maybe just link to this WIP page)

You must be referring to AxKeeper's Megaman X. Mine doesn't even have the required sprites to make a beta yet. His isn't an MVC style, but based on how the Megaman X Series gameplay works. Mine will be an MVC Megaman X and will play as such. Mine is still in the spriting process.

Anything circled in red has not been revamped. Sprites at the bottom that obviously haven't been revamped have not been circled because they are just there for references, concerning poses.

daraku has joined the sprite team as our GFX guy. He'll be handling effects for our MVC Megaman X. He'll be spriting the effects in CVS style. It should look really good when he's done. I currently don't have any examples of his work for you guys. Maybe he'll post it when he has some. :)
