RicePigeon
I'm sure all of you know about the XvX patch for the Mugen engine. However, after succumbing to curiousity, I find the download link only to discover the following message; The file you requested has been removed from MediaFire for a violation of our Terms of Service. This file has been taken down by: File Name: xvx.7z (264.36 KB) Company: Nintendo of America Inc. Email: [email protected] Address: 4600 150th Avenue N.E., Redmond, WA 98052 Still have questions, or think we've made a mistake? Please contact support for further assistance. source: http://www.mediafire.com/?a7g2wk5grggogsp If this is indeed legitimate this is quite... disturbing. Especially considering the patch had nothing to do with Nintendo?
FlipSide
I love Nintendo , but this is just stupid. If that's the case , they will probably take down every single Nintendo character and stage made for MUGEN. The bad thing is ,Nintendo has been known for doing this . It happened to Angry Joe , and they also took down a fan game:

Galvatron
Woah! looks like we better becareful with Nintendo company then. Sounds like they are for-real on making and putting their games on PC, Smartphones, Tablets, etc. Since thats their business plan in the future. :-P [edit post] Then again this could be all fake BS to take down mugen isn't it. >:-(

A person
Y'know, I think I'll risk it and send an email to that address to see if it's legitimate. I've seen this guy's name before on other files that were taken down, too, though they were for SSBB mods, so they could be considered as legitimate, then. Maybe. EDIT: Apparently, according to yaminogun's link, the guy was a Wii Specialist...and worked from 2007 to 2008, so we can use that against him if he ever comes up again. Cayne
I feel that maybe its time for a mugen dongle to be made by the big three video game companies so tis can be squashed permanently. That way Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft could turn a profit off of mugen by making it Indie friendly. A Micro sd card reader compatible with the system and this woud be a mute problem. Just look at the success of LBP. Of course there is that greed thing or Mario chars appearing on a sony console......... this world is sad. Lord Batros
ive delt with this before & had a Very good back n forth with a company the major corps hire to find files on the net that might be illegal ( My file that was taken had Nothing to do with the movie they thought it was). all that happened here was the company scanned sites for key words & this one triggered it , so mediafire NEVER checks to see what the file is , they just rip it down, no questions asked .............don't think t hat nintendo is going OH HELL NO TO MUGEN .. its not its the search company employed by nintendo ,thats all , if anyone still has the actual patch re up it & re name it or run it all together with mugen at the end , & thats all folks Galvatron and DarkWolf13
SSBKing65✯
This person most likely did this because of the whole 8-Player Smash feature, I'd assume. Mugen had this patch 1st so I could see why they could have taken it down, because of popularity and the reception of their games.
NotAGoodName
Never fear guys. My Mugen 1.1 patches are still up.
Alchemist of Atlas
This is a fake. Otherwise, Nintendo would have taken down the millions of Let's plays of SMB romhacks around the web, and Nintendo would take months to do that, and that's not convenient for them. So, yeah.
