Help with colorloss related shenanigans

Neo_Fire_Sonic

Question

I've had enough of this crap.... Now, how do I make it so an image that looks like this

3NmhENr.png

do not look like this

lt1BXq9.png

while in mugen?

because i have other characters with images like this one and they don't need to be in sffv2 for this to work or be in mugen 1.1

actually the bg is an alt color of another character's and his works and looks fine but this one doesn't

Mugen displays certain colors very weird, dark blue being one of them. Even if you add the sprite and it has no colorloss in the sff, it'll still display wrong in mugen. I haven't tested how those work with 32-bit sprites, so that could be the solution.

Your other alternative is dithering but that can help only but so much.

Here this is a 256 color version of the sprite.

try adding this image instead of the one you have it MAY look better.

i am unsure how to add this without it messing up.

because when i tried, this image turned completely green, the other time, its quality got worse than the one in the actual gameplay image
