  1. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Cafeteria / Restaurant Melina seemed to be teasing Penelope, somehow. While Anwalt liked to do that, he didn't want Penelope going on those things in such a fast rate. Anwalt: Hey, don't go teaching weird things to Penny, Melina. Let's not taint the girl. Anwalt: And I'm done as well. Gonna head up and get the bags for our flight. See you guys later. Anwalt left the cafeteria and went to get his and Lucent's bags. Lucent Vermillion and Umbra Location: Kalos City - Interdimensional Airport BGM: Sunshine Airport still playing Lucent and Umbra had just finished eating their breakfast. The young Vestal ate fruits and salad while his guard enjoyed a tender piece of meat. Lucent looked at the clock and thought about the others. Lucent: I wonder what are they doing right now... and if they'll take too long to arrive. Umbra: They're probably finishing their stuff back at the hotel. Maybe breakfast ended for them now too. Lucent: I think so. Oh, wait a second... He peeked at his jacket's pocket and saw the keycard laying there. Lucent: So it's here in my pocket. Umbra: That card is needed to something? Lucent: It's to open the rooms. I left with it since I didn't know if my roommate was a heavy sleeper or not. Anyway, I'll probably send it back now. Suddenly, a crow materialized in Lucent's left arm. He picked the card and put it at the bird's beak. Lucent: Now you take this to Anwalt at fast speeds, alright? I don't want him breaking down hotel doors. The crow cawed and flew away towards the hotel. Umbra: Seems like you haven't lost your touch at summoning these beasts. I thought you were at higher levels, though. Lucent: Tell me you didn't expect me to summon a Werewolf Nightmare just for this... Umbra: Far away from it. Still, I took years to learn how to call my pack and you seemed to be doing that instantly. Lucent: Look, it took me some time before I could do it. Also, I'm sure you're better than this at me. Umbra: You have any doubts? Lucent: Oh, someone's feeling cocky. I might have to teach you a lesson or two someday. Umbra: Feel free to try. Spanking bad kids like you is what I do best. Lucent: ... I take it back, that went so wrong in so many ways. Lucent: Your sadism even goes to that line, huh? Umbra: What exactly I have done now? Lucent: Something I don't want to speak about, so let's cut this talk short and think of another topic.
  2. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Cafeteria / Restaurant Anwalt: So that's how your powers are born. We're almost the same then. Seeing how Raina ended hers up a little fast, Anwalt decided to speak up next. Anwalt: Since everyone's so intent on sharing backstories. I guess I can share mine as well. At least, the part of it that concerns me the most. BGM: Terra Anwalt: Back in my world, our family was known to be composed of Nightmare demons of high caliber, so we were pretty much at the top of our game. At that time, my father, who used to be the Emperor of Nightmares, fell in love with the Vestal of Dreams, my mother. By breaking the rules once formed by the ancient generations, they married and planned an union between both races, who were enemies at each other's throats. I'm fruit of that love, but I only inherited my father's blood, while Lucent managed to inherit both of them. Our live was really peaceful and enjoyable, since both Dreams and Nightmares seemed to agree with the alliance and Mom and Dad's marriage. Anwalt: That is, until an extremist faction rose against the alliance. A bunch of Nightmare Demons who were against the whole peaceful setting attacked our home when I was 16 and Lucent was only 5. By that time, we already had an incident happening which involved our powers, but things turned for the worse with the attack. Mom and Dad escaped with Lucent while I was injured and lost among the demons. My power suddenly rose up as I was in the verge of death and I managed to take most of the invaders out alone with the last of my strength. I don't hold anything against them, since I was the one who gave them the idea of leaving me behind. Anwalt: When I finally calmed down and felt my life stripping away from me, a Nightmare Demon took me in his care forcefully. That damn fool trained me through hell and worse. I stood 3 years with him somewhere away from from my home. When I completed 18, he just disappeared as I had to make some living. Around that time, I got in contact with fighting and ended up liking it. I was crowned champion on many of these fight clubs, when I was scouted by some random businessman. He called me in, saying he needed more strong people like I do and that the work resulted in a lot of money. Since I had a dream to fulfill at that time, I needed the cash so I took in. That was a hell of a wrong turn in life, though... Anwalt: I began working with the yakuza, so I ended up dealing with all sorts of risky jobs. "Debt collecting", smuggling, ransom killing... a lot of blood spilled by my hands. In the two years of my initial join-in, I got fed up with all that sort of business and decided to deal with the boss myself. I challenged him and now he's on a grave, resting like a bone after a dog buries it. I took the group for me and changed it around my way. We began to work as a yakuza group against the yakuza. So yeah, we betrayed the movement and went along with the police. The income grew, the blood was less spilled since we didn't get found out most of the time. The times we were caught... well, the ones against us didn't survive to tell the story today. Anwalt: Three years later and I was already swimming in cash. The amount necessary to build up my dream. And that was getting back home, rencounter someone of my family who could be alive and give them some peaceful settings for once. I searched like crazy in order to find someone through the net and I stumbled upon Lucent's profile. I think I never felt more hopeful at that moment more than ever. So I settled all my things, left my business running with my partners and travelled back to my homeland, all in order to fulfill my dream. *BGM fades* Anwalt: Well, I guess that covers my part up. The next part is Lucent's, so he needs to be the one who tells it. That, and because there are things only he can tell. Anwalt: I feel like we spent some good time here. Should we get packing our things up or someone else wants to speak up?
  3. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Cafeteria / Restaurant After turning off the call, Anwalt looked at the others and decided to interrupt them for a second. Anwalt: Hey, before we can continue with the whole knowing each other business, I got an update on our situation I want to pass out. Anwalt: Just received a call from Lucent and he told us we're going to Candor via airship. He told us to prepare our bags and to be there in three and a half hours. Anwalt: With that out of the way, someone wants to speak up next?
  4. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Cafeteria/Restaurant Anwalt: So that's what happened... hell, that's one big of a story. Before Anwalt could comment anything else, Anwalt's terminal started to ring. Anwalt: (Well, speak of the devil.) Yo, what's up? Lucent: I'm calling to warn you that I got us an airship to Candor. I bought everyone's tickets and the ship will depart in three and a half hours. Make you bag and bring mine as well, please. Anwalt: Whoa, nice work! We'll be there soon enough! Lucent: Alright. We'll be waiting you all here. Anwalt: Got it! Wait... "we"? Lucent: Oh... yeah, "we". Because Umbra's here with me Lucent Vermillion and Umbra Location: Kalos City Interdimensional Airport Anwalt: WHAT?! *cough* *cough* Lucent: H-Hey, calm down. Eat first and then talk. Anwalt: I can't believe this! And you just let him follow along?! Lucent: You know that Umbra won't listen to us if we decide to send him back. Umbra: That's right. I won't. Anwalt: Oh, so he's hearing it. Hey, Umbra? When I get my hands on you, I'm tossing you back on an airship straight home! Umbra: Tough luck, Lord Anwalt. I'd clearly like to see that happening. Anwalt: Ahahaha... but you are a big piece of- Lucent: Enough, both of you!! At Lucent's call, Anwalt and Umbra stopped before they could even start a discussion over the phone. Lucent: I won't admit this sort of childish discussion between both of you! This may be our trip, but we're in a group of people and it's supposed to be fun for everyone! If you two decide to start this again, I'm beating you two up with my spells. Was I clear?! Umbra: *gulp* Y-Yes... Lucent: Also, instead of discussing with Umbra over the line, finish eating breakfast. Like I said, you have three and a half hours before the airship departs. Make sure that everyone has their bags prepared as well. Anwalt: Tch, fine... I'll tell everyone back here to get ready as well. Lucent: Alright then. See you all in three and a half hours. Lucent turned the call off and looked at the smiling Umbra. Lucent: You had to provoke him... for no reason. Umbra: What's the problem about it? I'm just stating the truth. Lucent: *sigh* Can't we have just a normal trip?
  5. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Cafeteria / Restaurant As Anwalt dealt with 1/3 of the pile, Melina asked about Lucent. She clearly noticed his actions while LightFlare seemed to not understand. He would've liked for this to be kept in silence and having both sides resolve this issue by themselves, but that's not going to happen. Anwalt: Your fight with Hyde and your dark aura, that's why. When we were watching, we thought it was fine and that you had it under control, even if you seemed mad for like, 6 seconds. Anwalt: Lucent didn't. He saw it as over the limit. We explained the idea of respect between both fighters but I hardly think he saw that as "respectful". Anwalt: So yeah, he has something against you and is on caution 24/7. That's the reason why he took the stairway and why he's eating out.
  6. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Cafeteria/Restaurant Anwalt: Yo, Melina! Day's going to be wild, so we better pick our new energy right from the start. Anwalt grabbed his fork and knife, beginning his "breakfast". Small pile by small pile, the food went down on his stomach.
  7. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Cafeteria/Restaurant Anwalt made his plate and went to the table where the rest were sitting. His plate was a mountain of mixed foods altogether. It looked and felt like a mess, but that pile was the amount he was going to eat. Anwalt: Well then, since we're all here, let's have a good time!
  8. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Cafeteria/Restaurant After following Lilith and the others, Anwalt reached the cafeteria as well. The sweet and delicious smell of food made his stomach rumble. Anwalt: God, this looks delish! I don't even know what I want to eat first! Lucent Vermillion and Umbra Location: Kalos City Interdimensional Airport BGM: Sunshine Airport After a walk, Lucent and Umbra finally reached the airport. It seemed packed with heavy tourist movement, as if the sounds of multiple groups of people chatting were inerent to the place. Lucent: The airport still seems filled as every. Umbra: Well then, we should buy eight tickets. What sort of class are you going to pick for them? Lucent: The high one, perhaps. Umbra: After booking a hotel such as that one, it doesn't leave me surprised. Lucent: I mean, I think I do want to provide some comfort to them. If I have the means to, why not? Umbra: Not going to discuss there. Let's go buy the tickets at the booth then. Lucent: We can buy them via internet. We need to find us a restaurant to have breakfast then. Umbra: What was the point of coming here if you weren't buying on the booth then? Lucent: We did a walk, we chatted for a bit... it ended up being fun. Umbra: That could've been done at the hotel. Lucent: Let's just find somewhere to eat without any complaints. Besides, we're close to the embark, so it's easier for us to wait here. Umbra: *sigh* OK, I got it.
  9. Lucent Vermillion and Umbra Location: Kalos City Streets BGM: Beautiful Dead Lucent and Umbra walked among the streets in order to reach the airport. They went into many conversations, from things that happened back at their home from other stuff. Lucent: ... Hahaha! I can't believe this. Did Ictio really did that? Umbra: She did. Right in the middle of the party. Lucent: Oh, I wish I was there. I don't think I wouldn't be able to not laugh at the scene! Umbra: Hehe. By the way, your mood seems to have improved. Lucent: I noticed that too. Yesterday ended somewhat sour and today's morning wasn't exactly nice. Umbra: Why? Is the trip that boring to you? Lucent: No, that's not it. We met a group of people in our arrival in Kalos. They are decent people... for the most of them at least. It's just that there's one person in that group that ticks my nerves on. Umbra: If that's the case, something serious happened. Lucent: Well, you see... Lucent explained how the whole day ended yesterday and how the morning began. He told Umbra everything: the arrival, the fights, the meetings. The servant understood all of it. Umbra: I see. So that's what happened. Umbra: Lord Lucent, while I do respect your opinion on him, don't you think you're creating a problem where it shouldn't exist? Lucent: What do you mean? Umbra: If this Hyde person doesn't seem bothered by it, why should you? Lucent: Because he's walking alongside us now! I don't know what will happen if I just leave it be. Besides, I have a feeling he wants a match against my brother and I can't let that happen! I don't want Anwalt dead because of some... power-hungry, selfish ignorant like LightFlare! Umbra: "Power-hungry, selfish ignorant"...? Wow, I wasn't expecting that. Umbra: Still, isn't that "the pot calling the kettle black"? Lucent: Umbra, what are you getting at? Umbra: You don't know his story, he doesn't know yours either. There wasn't a single conversation between you and you don't seem like giving the chance to doubt, all because of an event that never included you. Lucent: Oh... Umbra: I'm not telling you to throw that doubt away. Like I said, he's an unknown X. But have concrete proof before you accuse someone of something. One fight isn't proof of him being a... "power-hungry, selfish ignorant". Lucent: ... I know. Even so, he did nothing to show me the other way around. All he did was treat me like a kid and make fun of how Lilith could be possibly worried about him. Umbra: Well, you are a kid... from my point of view anyway. But if your problem is proof, why don't you just talk with LightFlare and explain how you're currently feeling? The idea Umbra proposed sounded stupid as it first entered Lucent's ears. Wouldn't it be better to just ignore LightFlare and keep moving on? However, the idea also sounds interesting. Lucent: Talk with him... about the fact I don't like him at all? Umbra: No one has a crystal ball to discover if you're OK with the situation or not. I'm pretty sure only Lord Anwalt noticed that for now. Lucent: Hmm... talking with him might clarify things. I can also get this out of my chest and even stop a possible fight between him and- Umbra: Lord Lucent, both sides need their time to talk. If you're the only one talking, the discussion devolves into insulting. Lucent: I know, it was a consideration that went loose. Umbra: It better be or else the real problem begins. Lucent started to consider putting the idea into action; However, now it wouldn't be a good time. Maybe when they were inside the ship. He also thought about his immaturity once more. Lucent: It seems that, for a supposed genius, I'm still too inconsequent for my own good. Umbra: That's true. I think life will still give you time enough to think and replan yourself as a person. Lucent: Hopefully, I'm not over 100 years when that happen, right? Umbra: Right- wait, what are you insinuating?! Lucent: Hehehe! I'll leave that to your imagination. Both kept walking and chatting while making their way to the airport. By then, Lucent began to consider the possibility Umbra pointed out with interest.
  10. Anwalt, Lucent and ??? Location: Grand Wave Hotel Lucent: Is that so? Well, let's see who this person is and what does he want with me. Lucent followed the clerk until they reached the guest seats. When he looked, he immediately recognized who was looking for him. Lucent: Umbra?! BGM: Noble Mind Upon hearing his name, a young man rose from his seat and walked towards Lucent. He bowed down and got up soon afterwards Umbra: There you are, Lord Lucent. You took your time to get here. Lucent: OK, what sort of explanation do you have for this? What are you doing here? Umbra: Fulfilling my duty as General of the Vestal Guard, what else? Lucent: Anwalt planned this trip for us. As a reconciliation trip, I don't think he'll like the fact you're here. Umbra: Whether Lord Anwalt likes it or not, my duty is only one and I'm doing it. Lucent: Alright, if that's what you want to do, fine for me. It's not like you'll listen to me if I tell you to go back. Umbra: Understood. Anyway, were you heading out somewhere? Lucent: Actually, I was. I'm going to the airport and see if I can book us an airship. Umbra: Then I'll keep you company. We can talk along the way. Lucent: I do need to improve my mood so maybe having you chat with me might be a good idea. Let's go to the airport. Umbra: You can count on me. Lucent waved a goodbye to the clerk and left to the airport, accompanied by Umbra. Meanwhile, the elevator opened again as Anwalt got out. He looked at the direction Light, Melina and Lilith went, following them to breakfast. New Character Introduced!
  11. Anwalt and Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - East Wing, 7th Floor Lucent: Well then, I'm taking the stairs since I'm not in a hurry. Lilith, we'll continue the conversation later. But before Lucent took the stairway and left, Anwalt got up, stretching his arms and yawning. Anwalt: *yawn* Now that was a good night of sleep. Went through it like a rock. Anwalt: Hmm? Lucent, the elevator is just open, why are you taking the stairs? Lucent: I want to take a different route, that's all. Anwalt: If you say so. I can't wait to have breakfast. I'm really hungry. Lucent: You can eat my portion then. I'm eating somewhere else. Anwalt: Huh? Why? Isn't that covered by the whole stay? Lucent: It is, but I'm not interested in the offer of eating here, thank you. Anwalt: Look, I'm pretty sure it doesn't really make a difference of where you're eating. Besides, everyone else will be there- Lucent: I'm not interested in the offer of eating here, thank you. Anwalt understood the reason why Lucent was so reluctant. That made him angry, since he was being judgemental of someone he doesn't even know and isn't giving a chance to doubt. Anwalt: Is that so? Pray tell, what's the reason for you to be this unfriendly in the morning? Lucent: First of all, I'm not obligated to give you any reason if I don't want to, especially because you already understood it. Second of all, I don't think this is a good time for us to be discussing since people are still sleeping. Anwalt: *sigh* You really are a stubborn fellow sometimes, Lucent. Lucent: Life's composed of sweet and bitter moments. Please don't go thinking I'll have to accept anything and wear a fake smile when I'm unhappy with the situation. He opened the door and left. What was supposed to be a good day began with a bad outcome right in the morning. Anwalt: (I know that. I just think you need to give people a chance.) In the stairway, just so as he wouldn't waste time there, Lucent jumped from the floor he was. Upon coming closer to the ground of the entrance floor, he used his flight abilities to stop the fall and land safely without making a loud sound. Lucent: Right now, I better head to the airport and see if I can get us an airship. Maybe my mood will improve along in the way. He opened the door and soon was at the reception lobby again. He stopped to look at his terminal for a while. It was actually pretty early. He did wonder what would happen at the rest of the day.
  12. Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - East Wing, 7th Floor Lucent was considering Lilith's theory, but then LightFlare appeared. He looked just fine and seemingly refusing her possible worry about his spiritual state. He commented something over breakfast and how they would be able to know each other... something that Lucent didn't want to. And once again, his voice couldn't sound normal. In fact, he sounded more bothered than yesterday and his face couldn't remain neutral even if he wanted to. Lucent: I'll go downstairs, but there's something else I have in mind than breakfast, so I'm not going to eat now. You can just eat ahead of me. Lucent: Just as a question, LightFlare, are you taking the stairs or the elevator to go down?
  13. Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - East Wing, 7th Floor Lucent: Internal conflict... do you think his dark power is actually not under his control? That maybe his emotions aren't in check and that drives some sort of alter ego?
  14. Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - 7th Floor, East Wing Lucent: I did learn about why people seem to enjoy those fights. They fight not to kill each other, but with the idea of respect between both fighters. Lucent: However, the fight wasn't exactly what made me see it. All went well until the point LightFlare used that dark aura of his. In my opinion, that's not close to respect.
  15. Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Room #714 BGM: Beautiful Days Lucent got out of the bathroom after washing his face. It didn't feel like he slept, though. And that affirmation was right: he didn't. He was somewhere else during the nighttime, but he managed to return before he could wake up his roommate. Lucent: (I think I'll leave Hyde quietly in the room. The morning rays will wake him up.) He quietly left the room and closed the door without making a sound, Turning to the elevator, he saw Lilith at the corridor. Lucent: Good morning, Lilith. Did you manage to sleep well?
  16. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Room #719 BGM: Song of the Ancients -Devola/Instrumental- After settling down at his room, Anwalt went to the window to watch over the view. He looked at the night sky, filled with stars. Anwalt: Ain't today's sky beautiful... what a start. Now we're going through another adventure. Sort of. I don't know what else awaits us beyond this point. He went to his bed and tossed himself onto it. Upon resting his head, he began to contemplate the situation for a while. Like him and Lucent, Lilith came here out of her own volition, as it seemed to be. Penelope, Hyde and Raina didn't. They were pulled away from their worlds to a place like this. It surely sounds like a mystery, like in one of the horror books Lucent lent him. Come to think of it, maybe this isn't the best start for Lucent. They practically spend the day doing things Anwalt liked and not even once they did something he liked. Not to mention the fight. Anwalt could only imagine how he was actually angry at the fact LightFlare came with him. He also wondered about Melina? For what sort of reason was she coming alongside them? One thing was a fact: she's a teaser. With a small laugh, Anwalt turned off the lights and closed his eyes. Anwalt: This is going to be some trip... maybe I should say "sorry" to Lucent tomorrow... or maybe... not... Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Room #714 Lucent: Candor... I see. I'll use the rest of the energy I have to know more about the place and get a map. I'll try to get us an airship as well, though I don't know if I can reserve seats here or only at the station. BGM: Song of the Ancients -Popola/Instrumental- While he searched about Candor through the network, Lucent had his own moment of contemplation once more. Everything spun out of control at a rate he didn't like at all. Not to mention, Anwalt brought two people considerably problematic to a group hardly normal. He could only fear for the worst. Anwalt's carelessness about others is completely a problem, one he can't fix it. Penelope had no powers and no means to defend herself, but she had some energy to keep the group alive. Hyde isn't weak but isn't that strong as well and carefulness seems like the last thing he had. Raina seemed powerful and sensible, however young enough to maybe act recklessly. Lilith, seemingly experient and with the capabilities of a leader, appears to be a lone wolf so she's not prone to conversations that much. The other woman had that aloof hair but something about her got under Lucent's skin. And then there was LightFlare, who is a figure of importance to this town, but nothing short of a idiotic power abuser show-off in his point of view. Last but not least, a rich boy whose supposed intelligence wasn't able to contain some of his immaturity: himself. Lucent: (I don't know if I cry of if I laugh. Seriously, why does these things keep happening every time I turn my back around? And he had to bring two people whom I clearly won't get well for a while. I should prohibit Anwalt from eating dreams for this whole trip, but that's starvation and it's a method of cruelty.) It became a mess and he could only sigh. Clearly, there was nothing he could do about it at the moment. However, since Hyde was there, Lucent decided to question him about why he didn't give the victory to LightFlare after almost being erased out of existence. Maybe that term was overdoing it, since he survived, but he needed to understand it. Lucent: Hyde... about the fight you had against LightFlare... why did you continue it after he unleashed that dark aura of his?
  17. Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Room #714 Lucent: Well, please enjoy it and make yourself at home. I'm sure it's really comfortable. Lucent went back to the desk and scrolled around the computer once more. He then asked Hyde about something that has been bugging him off. Lucent: By the way, I was wondering. Did they plan something for tomorrow while I was away?
  18. Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Room #714 Lucent closed the door as Hyde went in. His companion seemed troubled about having to share a room and about Lucent's opinion on who should use the bed. Lucent: Trouble? Hardly. It would be a problem if I left you sleeping with Anwalt. Lucent: And I still insist on you taking the bed. I really don't need it and the fact I bought our stay isn't exactly the best way to convince me on taking it.
  19. Anwalt and Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - 7th Floor, East Wing Anwalt: Choice fully processed. Please receive this keycard as a token of appreciation. I hope you keep using the Vermillion Keycard Distributing Services. *gives keycard to Raina* Anwalt: Well, if you all need me, I'm staying on #719. Night, girls! Anwalt left to his room, swiped the keycard and went in. Meanwhile, hearing the knock, Lucent opened the door. Lucent: Good to know you took the offer. Please come in. Lucent: There's a bathroom right there in the back, showers and bathtub included. The closet is over here, but if you don't like it, you can use the drawers and cabinets. There's a button for room service over here, right next to the door. Lucent: Also, about the bed, you can sleep on it alone. I'll just rest in the desk.
  20. Whenever I'm bored, I decide to pass time doing Photoshop and these come out, so I decide to share them with you all. 1. Agni Blackheart, Silver Sharpshooter Signature Avatar 2. Claire Blackheart, Killer Princess Signature Avatar 3. Ignitio Blackheart, Death's Sniper Signature Avatar I take requests, but I'm in a time bind, I won't be taking them. Requests: OPEN
  21. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wavel Hotel - East Wing, 7th Floor The elevator opened and Anwalt came out of it, being one of the last people to arrive. He saw Raina and Penelope standing there, seemingly waiting for something to happen. That's understandable: they didn't pick a card. Anwalt: Girls, I think you just forget to pick a card. You know, just saying... Anwalt: So there's 711, 712, 713, 716, 717 and 719 left. Which one are you picking?
  22. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Reception Lobby Anwalt: No probs about it, man. You should go then, since Lucent already went to his room. Just knock at the room 714 and call him.
  23. Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel Anwalt could only snicker quietly as she went away with a keycard. Melina seemed to be the type to tease a lot with this sort of stuff, but he didn't mind it much. As she went away, he went back to the others as Penelope seemed to dislike the idea of sharing a room. Anwalt: Uh, Penelo, I think it's best if you shared a room with a girl. Besides, you seem like the youngest of us here, so it's better to have someone watch over you. Anwalt: Also, while we're at it, why don't you share with Raina? Maybe some girl night talk between you two will be fun. As much as Lilith offered her room, Anwalt felt like Penelope's energy might tire her out faster than it would do with Raina. The shrine maiden seemed like the best idea for room sharing, especially with a girl such as the little one standing in his front. Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - East Wing, 7th Floor The elevator opened and Lucent went towards his room. Before he entered it, he decided to think about the situation. Lucent: (If I am to be fair, I'm not liking how the situation is going. This is seriously going to spin out of control someday. I'd love to keep it in check, but with Anwalt being like this... I'm definitely not ready to lead, especially because I'm a minor too. Let's think about the others and see how it goes...) Lucent: (Lilith seems like the most level-headed of us, so she'd make a good leader. Raina does seem really intelligent too, but I think the first one has more life experience I guess. Best if I went with the first option.) Having Lilith as the leader of the bunch would be more reassuring. He had already discarded himself and even though Raina seemed like a good choice, he prefers the first option. Now, he thought a little about the rest of the group. Lucent: (If I'm to start with self-analysis, I can keep my head cool... though I'm immature in some situations. I think I'm going to pay good attention to my actions during this trip and see what I can improve on myself.) Lucent: (Hyde's OK, but I don't know... he seems sorta... "generic"? I don't know if that's the word I want to use, but it seems to describe him for the moment. He's powerful, I admit, but still looks like some sort of teenager that doesn't understand much and just does what he's doing because he doesn't have much of a choice.) Lucent: (Penelope's happy-go-lucky attitude might bolster morale at some moments but the problem right now is that she doesn't have powers and is sitting ducks compared to us. Maybe she'll learn something at the future. Though right now, keeping her out of danger is a priority. I just hope she doesn't feel bad about it.) Lucent: (Anwalt... well, I already know how to deal with him. We're family, after all. He's not a bad guy, but his overfriendliness will become a hassle. Especially if we go fighting against other people... like today.) Lucent: (That blonde woman, which name I don't know yet, doesn't look weak. I mean, she managed to defeat Lilith so I guess that's a plus. Still, I would actually like her more if she stopped sounding like a teaser. I already have to put up with Anwalt and now there's her calling me "Pretty Boy" all the time. I ought to introduce myself so she can stop.) Lucent: (Finally, there's the Hero... I don't think I'll hide the fact that I don't like him at all. He doesn't seem evil, but seeing and being are two different things and he hasn't proved me his kindness, but the inverse. Honestly, best if I avoid any sort of conversations with him.) Soon, he could hear the elevator ringing. Then, a strong aura could be felt inside it. He already knew who it was, so Lucent swiped his keycard and went into his room.
  24. Anwalt and Lucent Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Reception Once things were clarified with Raina, both LightFlare and Melina approached him. While he wasn't bothered with her, the image of the fight returned. He tried to hide, but his voice sounded slightly discontent. Lucent: I've... done nothing extraordinary. There's no need to thank me. Anwalt: (He's still bothered about Light...) Lucent: I'll head back to my room now. There's something I need to search. Hyde, you can knock at room #714 if you wish to share it. Anwalt: We still need the keycards for our room, so it's good to hand them over- Lucent: Here you go. Lucent gave Anwalt the keycards, headed back and took the elevator. Anwalt: (Suddenly, I'm not that excited to see how this plays out.) Anwalt: So, who wants to pick one?
  25. Lucent and Anwalt Vermillion Location: Grand Wave Hotel - Entrance Lucent heard Raina asking him about how he transformed in another person suddenly. Only Lilith had seen him like that, so it was expected. He decided to explain to her about how he did it. Lucent: It might look like a transformation, but it's not exactly that. It was an illusion of my old form that I casted upon myself. If you would consider it, I'm a sort of illusionist mage. Lucent: Don't count on me using it too much, though. I'm a terrible liar so I won't be able to keep up with those sorts of trickery. Anwalt: He did it just so I could have a moment of reminiscence of how he looked in the past. He may not look like, but he's really kind. Lucent: *sighs* Be glad that it was me. I doubt another person would concede to what you wanted. Anwalt: I know. I'm glad and thankful. Lucent gave him a small laugh, which was responded with a small laugh. Then, Lilith spoke up about how Penelope and Hyde were going to share rooms since they were minors. Lucent decided to offer up. Lucent: Hyde, we can share the room if you want. I don't mind it. Anwalt: Sure you don't want to let him share the room with me? Lucent: Sleeping next to a snoring machine isn't nice for health. Anwalt: Dude! Harsh!
