I understand what you mean when you say limited by sprites, creativity can take you a long way. If you're interested in using sprites from another Digimon game, the Digimon World DS has sprites for his other forms that could be used for specials and hypers. The basic idea as I mention before would be to make Dorumon evolve and transform into his stronger forms at the center of the screen, and after the attack as been preformed, he would de-evolve. This would add more flavor to the character currently. Anyways, here are the links to their sprites if your interested. This will save you some time if your interested and a few ideas to spice up the character. Most of the ideas came from the Digimon wiki (Dorumon's evolution) for the attacks except for the bite attacks. Like the others have said, making it a bit different from the sprite-swap would be good, since Dorumon is my only favorite Digimon I'll give you some ideas. Just so you know the hit sparks are misaligned. Anyways, I don't know much about Digital Battle Spirit, but are there any full spritesheets (walking, running, attacking, etc) related to Dorumon's evolution (Dorugamon, Dorugremon, and Dorugoramon)? Dorumon could evolve into a superior form such as Dorugamon and have totally different abilities, etc. Or are their sprite(s) limited? This way, you could make Dorumon transform into multiple permanent forms during battle. The alternative would be to make an evolution as its special attack such as Dorumon evolves into Dorugoramon and uses its special attack, afterwards de-evolve back into Dorumon again.
