As Hydes attack reaches close proximity, LightFlare unleashes another LightFlare Cannon. The LightFlare Cannon is a powerful, yet telegraphed move. Having underestimated the young fighter before, LightFlare waited till he felt the attack was a safe bet. This time the attack had a darker aura to its presence.

 

Wow! 1min 55 sec! Could this be the end?!

The young lady was caught off guard by Anwalt's sudden interjection into their conversation...

Hyde: (What the-!)

(Hyde uses his leg closest to the ground to attempt to move out of the way of the attack. Due to Hyde being at close range, Hyde's right arm not only takes some damage from the attack but disarms him as well)

Hyde: (That attack had a lot of energy in it, is he really able to control it?)

(Hyde looks at his arm momentarily)

Hyde: (I won't be able to do as well fighting him like this...)

(He stares back at LightFlare, attempting to see what will happen next)

LightFlare slightly grins and nods his head at Hyde, silently congratulating Hyde on his move. He begins to slowly advance toward Hyde, circling Hyde as he closes the distance between them.

(Hyde exhales as he gets back into his stance)

Hyde:(It was just one knock down out of the two he has. And I pretty much showed him all of my attacks)

Hyde:(I still got a shot at this. I just need to switch things up)

(Hyde dashes towards LightFlare and unleashes a horizontal slash that staggers upon contact)

The blade in fact passes through LightFlare's body. Using his Bending Light technique, he can pass through solid objects while advancing toward his target at the same time. He stops behind Hyde. Before Hyde could turn around, LightFlare quickly executes a sweeping roundhouse aimed at Hyde's legs.

 

Hyde:(Not yet)

(With insufficient time to turn around, Hyde stabs the ground   behind himself  causing a red eruption  from the ground)

Unlike before, LightFlare was prepared for Hyde's explosive attack. LightFlare leaps back just as the attack explodes preventing him from receiving damage, but also preventing him from completely healing from the previous attack. His health however continues to gain but at a slower pace.

 

Hmph!

 

LightFlare lowers his center of gravity and grunts as he stomps the ground. A redish, purple aura momentarily imminates from his back but disappears quickly. He lifts one knee up as he moves across the arena towards Hyde. His movement suggests that he is not actually running...but is actually gliding.

Hyde:(This energy... this attack can't be good)

(Hyde slashes towards LightFlare, attempting to knock him back)

The slash is absorbed by LightFlare. Using the power of his focus attack, he does not flinch and instantly counters Hyde with a crippling blow to the body that causes Hyde to crumble and fall to the ground. The crowd cheers as LightFlare scores another down!

 

Hoooooly crap! What a move! It looked as if Hyde had LightFlare for sure! But he pulls out yet another suprise attack! 

 

1...2...3...4...5...

 

Although he was able to quickly attack, some damage is sustained from Hyde's blade. However due to the properties of his Focus Attack, he is able to regain the energy he lost. The amount of time it takes to regain his health is determined by how much he moves immediately acter using the technique. Standing still...ensures maximum health recovery from the inflicted attack. LightFlare takes his stance while recovering from the attack he just absorbed. He breaths slowly to further speed up the process...

(Hyde slowly gets up after the heavy attack, he uses his sword to help him back up)

Hyde:(D-dammit, I can't stop here)

Hyde: Black Orbiter!

(Hyde steps back and uses the same circling red projectile, but before it could reach LightFlare...)

Hyde: Dark Lotus!

(Hyde puts his sword in a different stance as the projectile detonates near LightFlare)

LightFlare extendes his arm and raises his forearm the exact moment the blade comes within range of his body. He uses his forearm to Parry the blade, pushing the blade slightly to the side of LightFlare. This move does not change Hyde's momentum, but allow space for LightFlare to counter attack. If he had attacked blindly or even at all, he would have been struck as his parry can only he used when he's not currently attacking.

 

LightFlare lowers his center of gravity and slowly brings his fist back as dark energy surrounds him. He attempts to deliver a powerful punch. Although strong, LightFlare appears to be unable to position his arms to block, seemingly leaving his body exposed to incoming attacks. If he is successful, the punch will cause Hyde to momentarily be stunned and fall to the ground.

 

We're 45 secs into the round and it looks like Hyde has successfully closed the Gap and has moved in on LightFlare! But somehow LightFlare was able to counter Hyde's attack! Will Hyde's speed be enough to put the pressure on LightFlare and force him to make a mistake!?

Hyde:(That doesn't look good. I better stop it somehow)

(Hyde keeps moving toward LightFlare, but instead of slashing upwards, he does a twist and slashes horizontally)

LightFlare maintained his beam attack. As a result, Hydes attack collides with the LightFlare Cannon. Due to the width of LightFlare's attack, Hydes explosion is caught in the path of the beam but is not cancelled. It instead causes an explosion that stops LightFlare's attack all together and pushes LightFlare back into the air. LightFlare lands on his feet but soon realizes Hyde is no ordinary fighter. 

 

(Uuugh...well done)

 

LightFlare's field vision is obscured from the explosion. LightFlare's tries to recover and is unable to immediately go back on the offensive.

 

35 secs in and this is already getting explosive! Literally! Looks like Hyde has LightFlare on the ropes! 

Hyde:(Looks like I got chance)

Hyde: Pale Bringer!

(Hyde slashes forward towards LightFlare before attempting to slash upwards)

LightFlare unleashes his signature move...The LightFlare Cannon! Although this move is rather large and powerful, many years of training has allowed LightFlare to unleash it with very little charge time, while maintaining substantial power. And with little distance between him and Hyde, it would be very hard for Hyde to counter. Hydes projectile is engulfed in the large beam attack as it continues toward Hyde. 

Hyde: (You've got to be kidding me!)

(Hyde quickly dodges out of the way of the beam, nearly hitting him)

Hyde: Shadow Scare!

(Hyde stabs is sword into the ground, causing an eruption from the ground near LightFlare)

The crowd chants LightFlare's name again as LightFlare takes his stance awaiting the 10 count from the announcer.

(Hyde immediately jump backwards and landed on his feet)

Hyde: (I'm not going down, not yet)

Hyde: Black Orbiter!

(Hyde slashes a circling red projectile towards LightFlare)

The diagonal slash sends Hyde into the air just in front of LightFlare who stops just short of the range of the attack.

 

 

As Hyde lands, LightFlare excutes a low sweeping roundhouse aimed at Hydes legs with the intent to sweep Hyde's feet causing knockdown.

(Hyde gets hit and falls down)

Hyde: Urgh!

(Hyde sits quietly as the fight came to an end)

Hyde: (That was a very intense fight, who knew a person like him could stand so long against that many projectiles)

(As Hyde continued with his thoughts, the person with the hood had his own thoughts as well)

???: (...At least they weren't weaklings, but they definitely won't "suffice." Heh, I am making faster progress than expected though)

(The person heads through the doors, once at the seats he pick a seat in the second row)

(The person starts to focus on the battle, and especially focuses on the two's strength)

(After getting information from the two bouncers, The person finally makes his way into the elevator)

???: (From what i've heard there's an arena down here, which explains the huge amount of energy i'm sensing)

(The elevator reached the arena floor and the elevator doors open. The person exits the elevator and looks around)

???:(Looks like a fight already began, now I just need to get closer in order to know whose energy is whose)

(The person looks at the receptionist)
